Vintage Tabarome for sure. Having a huge flacon of it is a plus. Not sure whether it should be kept or passed on to someone else to enjoy, as it will only continue to be more and more rare as the...
Demeter dandelion, grass, or thunderstorm.
Demeter Dirt, of course. Or More probably the one made just for said topic, Demeter Funeral Home.
looking di gio or pls suggest something.
vintage tabarome. have a huge flacon of it.
le male for sure. plus you get one of the coolest bottles ever. lots of "noticeable" note changes too, so makes multi dimensional
i wonder if you hit the nail on the head as the word niche itself suggests non mainstream or unique.
MI superb anytime. Issey Miyake, Fahrenheit Summer. Clinique Happy is a v. nice fruit-noted scent. grab a sample and try it.
I agree with you. I think if you are trying to look fruity or feminine, you would do this, but normal men avoid this like the plague.
A friend of mine got a great compliment from a female coworker. Upon sniffing his cologne she exclaimed:
"HEY YOU DON'T SMELL LIKE CRAP TODAY!"
DEFINITELY Vintage Tabarome! *So light and fresh! ;)
I would think that "Tiger" would lean towards civet and musky gland stuff!
It is all about the guy. Girls compliment guys if they think they are hot. It has nothing to do with the fragrance. Except sometimes.
I have hundreds and hundreds of bottles.
Companies provide samples to retailers for free. They want people to try them in order to buy the product. The scent company eventually gets the sale if you like the item. If it hurts retailers, then...
There is some lawyer, somewhere, who will pounce on this and get a ruling that it is illegal. You heard it here first.
To my nose, SMW is nothing like Chrome. Chrome is more synthetic smelling. SMW has that sourish opening note. SMW is even further from CK1 in my books.
I will if you go first! I promise!
Boo Hoo! Wah! Sniff! Mommy!
Wha? *He is a mod. *He can post what he pleases. *Please stop trying to censor what people say, just because you don't like WHAT they say.

Eau du Sweat.
So very interesting of so many of you to share your fecal removing procedures. Well done.
Let's see. You started this dialogue by insulting me. I responded. Then you accuse me of saying bad things. Now you want to destroy me. Go ahead, Conan.
Hahahah that is awesome. ;D :-* :D ;) :) :o 8-) ::)
Use baby wipes as a follower for that just showered feeling.
Get Acqua di Gio. The chicks will love it.
If not, get Creed Imperial Millesime. Greatest fragrance of all time.
I have several flacons of Vintage Tabarome. They all smell EXACTLY the same, even though the years vary widely. This seems contrary to Creed's alleged claim.
That being said, would you like a...
Thanks for the info.
I didn't see it as even an "attempt" at a joke, nor do I think your motives were as such. * Sorry you chose to misunderstand me. Further, I'm not the type of person to continue to propagate these...
Steelers Rule. Hope that doesn't upset anyone.
Please be assured that when you attain the status that you believe you are entitled to, I will obey your directives without hesistation.
Thanks for imposing your judgement on a matter that doesn't concern you.
I am glad, however, that your Creed experiences have been almost stellar. My 20 or so bottles have all been magnificent....
Hmmm. Interesting. You insult me for no reason, I respond, and then you insult me again. Then, you tell me not to insult you. Wow. Sounds like you are the one who can't handle being disagreed with,...
I strongly dissagree! You must not have extensive experience with creed or the 'ole smeller isn't working.
I agree with ikkitosennomusha wholehearteldly. *It doesn't take an "experienced"...
I strongly dissagree! You must not have extensive experience with creed
Thanks for your judgement, amigo, but since you don't know me, and the fact that I own almost every Creed there is, your...
All this gnashing of teeth about bottles of Creed that smell different and are "off" and so on is balderdash. Unless you get a TRULY fake Creed knockoff, there is going to be little if any difference...
Very good of Jo, but since there is no link to the site, many lazy people, excluding myself of course, will not take advantage of this stupendous and almost without precedent offer.
My favorite amongst hundreds. Stunning in its length and clarity. Ever evolving and growing. Simply outstanding compared to most of the schleck out there.
I am glad you like it. As I have said many times, to me, it is the most foul smelling of the thousands I have owned/tried.
Thanks for sharing that.
It is unfortunate that you've chosen to upset yourself, however, that is your choice.
The razors on the floor and soap bar incidents all happened to me.
My post has been here all day, and no...
Freshly opened cigarette pack? Errr sorry, not at all.
Waxing won't make hair grow in thinner. Hair is hair, and despite the old wives tale, hair does not grow in thicker, or thinner. It stays the same.
Trim your hair. It only takes a minute. That, in...
If most guys are like me - and I have a sneaking suspicion they are *No, most men are not like you, it would seem - it may shock you to know that unless you have gorilla legs, we wouldn't...
IndieGuy, glad to hear it. The things people say.
I remember the Cap;n Crunch thing, but can't locate the other two items.
Andrew B, surely the "skin doctor", in his/her infinite wisdom, can recommend something for you. If not, ask a pharmacist. If it is a medical condition, consult the professionals.
I refuse to buy into the marketing hype of Gillette and its 5 blade wonder. If anyone thinks they are going to get that much better of a shave with 5 blades, all things considered, they have another...
Not similar in the least. Thousands of frags have the same note. It probably is because she has a limited "palate" of scent experience, and she pulled that one out, at random. No offence.
The new one? The old version? I really wonder if you hate the Guerlain Vetiver more than the Etro Vetiver.
Wonder no longer! I don't. :)
I think the "girl didn't compliment me the second time" angle is the thing, not that the bottle was "off" :)
Here's to more compliments from babes!
Yes, they are 100 percent fine. Buy at great savings, sahib.
If anyone thinks this crap actually attracts women, I have some ice for sale in Antartica for you. Come on. There is NO phermones in this crap. Total scam for suckers.
As I have posted numerous times over the years, Guerlain Vetiver is the most disgusting fragrance out of the hundreds that I own. I cannot stand it in the least.
Funny that you should mention these 2, as they are both on my desk as I am typing this! Crown Imperial has a lemon burst, but it is more of a richer orange melange than of pure lemon. It is one of my...
I suggest hair plugs.
I agree wholeheartedly. Showering and haveing a very wet face while blade shaving is essential in getting the best shave. Foams and gels in cans are really a lot of crap compared to good stuff like...
This is very interesting. If you say you have a very light and scraggly beard, I can't understand why you are using an electric to trim. It sounds like you are letting your beard grow out for a...

I can say unequivocally that modern cartridges (especially the Mach 3) give a closer shave with less irritation and fewer nicks and cuts...
No, it does not go bad after 6 months. That is bunk, my friend.
Remember, most guys buy cologne rarely, if ever. One or two bottles is all they will use, thus the larger sizes.
Incedal, it is a great great scent. I love it. I have an extra bottle that I would be pleased to sell you for a good price, if you are interested. Fire me a PM if you are.
Tea for Two is the best.
Sounds like you need to bathe more frequently. Ye gads.
Erick, your findings are similar to almost everyone who switches to a DE and a brush. Good for you. I suggest getting some Taylor creams from www.qedusa.com and your shave will be even better!
blah114, how can you have a verdict on these blades if you have never used them? You just asked about them a couple of days ago. In answer, some friends of mine have used these cyro blades, and do...
Francois, while not a balm, per se, consider using Cetaphil lotion. Off label use as an after shave balm may be the ticket for you. It is really mild, yet does a great great job.
Avoid the Florena...
Many knowledgeable wetshavers would agree that using multiblade like you do often causes tons of problems. I offer 2 solutions:
1. Try an old Gillette double edged razor. Avaiable on...
Blah, that is no problem. Like fragrances, results and tastes vary.
However, in a strictly efficacious sense, the creams I mentioned are generally acknowledged to be the best products.
I agree entirely. The Creed is eminently wearable.
Guerlain Vetiver, in my opinion, is the rankest and most foul concotion ever developed, save for my garlic, pasta, and oregano farts.
Happy for Men is an easily findable warm orangey citrus I am sure you would enjoy.
The experts at www.shavemyface.com, a grassroots site like this one, recommend a number of products.
Taylor of Old Bond Street
Truefitt and Hill
to name a few.
Creed Millesime Imperial.
Nothing out of the thousands I own/tried is as elegant, mysterious, and intoxicating.
This fragrance rears it head at regular intervals. It is like an embarrassing cousin that you try to keep out of sight, but keeps popping up. Guerlain Vetiver was my first "serious" purchase when I...
CREED. All are unique and well made, even the ones I don't overly care for.
Trumpers has fantastic classic scents, as does the late great Crown Perfumery.
They are cheap and smell synthetic.
Once you try real good quality stuff, you will understand why Axe, etc, should be axed. :) Really, top notch stuff is like a beautiful woman. The other stuff is...
It is a men's forum. Please don't insult the fine posters here by insinuating sexism. I am sure on further thought you would not have used the term sexism. This is a forum that unites, not divides....
Madgradx: I agree. It is a fabulous scent. It is warm and inviting, and sensuous. It is singularly unique in my view. It takes some confidence to wear, as it is unlike anything out there.
Many of the Crown perfumery items are getting harder and harder to find.
If you want my advice, don't buy it if you haven't tried it. The WORST scent I have ever encountered out of the thousands I have sampled.
It is best not to ever wash, and simply pile on several hundred oz. of cologne to mask the aniimalistic aroma!
Gucci Rush. Nice for a fall day. Woodsy, yet not hamster-cagey! :)
I own Bvlgari Black, and Tea for Two. They really are MILES (kilometers, if you prefer) apart.
T42 has a much nicer, rounder warmer feel to it. BB, while ok, is totally overpowered by the vanilla...
Sounds like a great gal, and a great place to visit, but her prices are VERY expensive compared to what one can get almost anywhere else.
Isn't this just a fabulous fragrance?
If you like that one, try Wet Garden by Goth Rosary. THe purest flower garden smell ever bottled.
MPG Sanguine ..... something or other. I forget!
Sorry, but trying to pin this down is, in reality, impossible. It probably was a note or two in the Uomo that stood out that reminded you of grandfather. A nice little unexpected gift from scent. :)
I can fully understand Grant needing money to run this great site. No free lunch, someone has to pay for it.
I like the connotation of "Supporting Member". I like it when someone supports my...
1. Your beard does not "grow in thicker" that is an old wives tale.
2. Nsamdi, if you use a light touch, and dont keep going over and over an area, you will not get ingrowns.
Vicomte, I almost exclusively use an adjustable DE. Nothing beats it!
ALWAYS relather before each pass.
Get some quality cream like Taylor or Trumpers, and use a Badger brush. You will NEVER...
Sam, please go to www.shavemyface.com or google TheWetShavers which is a MSN group. You will find the most knowledgeable information on the net there.
USE VERY LIGHT PRESSURE and don't keep going...
A very deep scent. Definitely formal and a cold weather scent. I like the fact that it is bold and unique, compared to most mass market parp out there. I can see why those who have not experienced...
Creed MI is my favorite fragrance. It never fails to evoke a WOW comment from the females. I am constantly amazed by it each time I wear it.
Don't lose heart.
Crown fragrances are top quality. They are more along the lines of traditional, masculine, classic scents. I find them to be very "manly" and not at all like most of the fluff that pervades the...
If you want Violets, there is NOTHING like Trumpers Violet. Fantastic. Match it up with Trumpers Violet shaving cream and you have yourself a winner, plus you will get the best shave of your life....
Guerlain Vetiver, the most putrid concotion ever.
No wonder Guerlain is reformulating stuff! This stuff is worse than 3 day old, overwarmed smegma.
No, it sucks. I would suggest selling it to some unsuspecting person on ebay. :)
Yes. It is a very well put together scent, as are all Penhaligon's. Crisp, clean, a bit citrusy and a tiny bit spicy, but not much.
A nice fresh scent, not altogether long lasting or powerful.
I own this one, and generally enjoy it. I also own a scent that is ALMOST a dead ringer for it, but not quite: Rochas Man. If you have smelled one, you have also smelled the other.
I find it...
