Another Caron! You are unstoppable :D
I have not opened it. I do not have the courage :D
Is that a vintage bottle of Parfum Sacre? I have never smelled Parfum Sacre, but I always had a secret love for it because of the name :D
Thanks, lpp! My bottle is from August 1988 :D
I just got this little beauty: a sealed bottle of Hermès - Calèche parfum.
Any idea from what year it might be? :D
Thank you for you answers!
Yes, it does smell good. A bit rancid at first, only for a few seconds, but after that it is ok. Just like it should be.
I just got a bottle of Diorissimo and I was wondering which year is from. Perhaps you can help me for I have found nothing on the internet about it.
Here is a picture of the bottle:
I just got a 2 fl oz bottle Monsieur Dupont by Richard Dupont. I have found nothing about it on the internet. I was wondering if somebody has any idea when it got released, information...
According to checkcosmetics, this bottle has been made in 2006 and $60 is a good price, imo.
How comes nobody mentioned Invasion Barbare?
I tested Spicebomb once. To me it smells like bubblegum. A very good fragrance considering how most of the designer fragrances are nowadays.
I would not mind a full bottle :D
Shalimar EDP version
Declaration and L'Eau d'Hiver.
It is really hard to choose only one from these two.
Viktor&Rolf - Flowerbomb
I know only Velvet, but on my skin is too medicinal. The smell is very pungent, nothing velvety about it. Too much for my nose.
On the other hand, Oud, is quite a nice scent and I wear it from time...
What he said.
I will add Dans tes Bras. Very different, very niche-like.
Back to Black, but I have not tested Chergui yet.
I got some great compliments on Lumiere Noire by Francis Kurkdjian. That rose and spices combination works great on me, I suppose.
Azzaro Pour Homme
Invasion Barbare by MDCI. Full. 3 sprays missing. 2.5 fl oz (75ml). $200
I ship worldwide. Shipping to U.S. : $17 (by sea) or $24 (by air)
Please see the pictures.
Payment via PayPal.
Thanks for your answers! They are highly appreciated.
I just got a refill bottle of Chamade. On the bottom it says "Copyright 1981 Paris". The recharge piece has a code on it and the code is "WA5DA4". Do you have any idea if the recharge is from the...
Epic smells like an expensive incense soap. Musc Ravageur smells of many things in the drydown, but it has nothing in common with Epic's drywodn.
Very well-done. Black Afgano smells of smoke and woods. It is ok, but I find Kinski to be more original.
I wore today Lys Mediterranee and it was amazing. Like walking in a flower shop. I respect every man that follows his nose instead of what marketing dictates. If you enjoy the smell, then wear it.
It smells like money. Very classy.
Jubilation XXV or Prada Amber Pour Homme.
I read it and also watched the movie twice. Actually, I enjoyed the movie more than the book, which is very unusual.

Thierry Mugler came up with a limited edition of the...
I find all three to be very wearable. I wore Jubilation and LADDM when I was 19 and I am still wearing Musc Ravageur now, when I am 20. No problems. They are actually very pleasant and the people you...
I tried them all and whilst I salute this concept and the whole idea behind it, I can not see myself wearing any of them anytime soon. If my memory is good, the only two that I liked were Memoirs of...
Have you tried Floris No.89?
I also like Incense Oud and I think is one of the best offerings from this house. You should also try Love. It is actually sweeter than Back to Black, but you never know what floats your boat.
I wore Fahrenheit while in high-school and it got me a few compliments. I remember that once a teacher commented on it. She knew what I was wearing. Probably, her husband uses Fahrenheit too.
Dans tes Bras. It is like a surrealistic painting, a symphony of notes and a revolt against the ordinary. If you are looking for art when it comes to perfumes, then you need to try it. Smells like...
I have tested it and while I can appreciate the quality of ingredients, I can not say the same about the smell itself. It is not something groundbreaking, but something you have smelled before. I get...
Tested a few from M. Micallef and every one of them was not worthy the price tag.
No. 89 by Floris
Happy New Year!
I would go for Narciso Rodriguez for Him and/or Declaration from Cartier. Both are very great and can be used all year round. You should go at a store and test these two. It is not something that a...
I always wanted to get a whiff of Tobacco Vanille. Really hard to get a sample where I live. I would love to test it. Thanks!
Only tried Cuir Beluga and SDV. Both are really good smelling and last very long, but I think I much prefer the immortelle from Cuir Beluga over SDV's vanilla.
Amouage - Epic Man
Ambre Fetiche by Annick Goutal. Really hard to choose between AF and Ambre Precieux.
Is there anybody who got their sample?
Sandalwood by Geo F. Trumper
Me neither. And I received the e-mail on 2 August. It's been some time...
Still hoping that it did not get lost on it's way to me.
I wore it a few times and I got no connection with Le Male. It smelled spicy and that's all. Not very great, but not that bad either.
Mon Parfum Cheri by Annick Goutal.
The weirdest note for me was goat hair, but now this one takes the cake.
I find Amouage Dia Man and Cuir Beluga to be very elegant. If I were you, I'd go for one of that. Or LIDGE :D
None. I am a forever alone guy :D
Prada Amber PH
You must try Bal d'Afrique from Byredo.
Congrats for entering the world of niche!
I have not tried many from Serge Lutens, but from what I know Fourreau Noir definitely worths a shot!
Sables. CE smells like a bag of spices that leads nowhere.
Who's in for a split?
Lyric Man, followed by Midnight Poison
Thanks for the give-away.
The Fourreau Noir wax and the Fourreau Noir liquid are quite the same when the perfume dries down. I can not talk about the others since I have not tried them yet, but the concrete FN is pretty...
I would go with Givenchy Pi. A friend of mine wore that to the prom and it was mesmerising.
Hmm.. let me see. You will get the following so you do the math :D
1. Tubereuse Criminelle
3. Fourreau Noir
4. Borneo 1834
6. Un Bois Sepia
7. Vetiver Oriental
Bois Oriental from Serge Lutens 1992
I got them too some time ago. Actually, they are only the base notes. No top and middle, just the base, the drydown of the juice.
And you apply them like you would apply a cream because that is what...
Try Roadster by Cartier.
Annick Goutal - Sables/Duel/Mandragore Pourpre/Encens Flamboyant
Serge Lutens is good, but for 50 ml they are quite expensive. From 80 euro to 95 and above. Double that amount of money for 100 ml...
Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York by Bond No 9
I have only tried a few (L'Eau Froide, Vitriol d'Oillet, Fourreau Noir and Nuit de Cellophane). From these 4 the best is Fourreau Noir with its buttery combination of lavander and tonka beans. The...
Hermes is based in Faubourg 24 Saint Honore. In Saint-Germain is Diptyque as far as I know.
Frederic Malle. I have tested a few and they are all winners. Such a pity they are so expensive :D
Something that is subtle like Vetiver Extraordinaire, Vetiver by Guerlain, Dia for Man, Voyage, Aqua Universalis Forte, Declaration.
19, but turning 20 in july.
Bal d'Afrique by Byredo.
With your review you made people curious now :D For me, unfortunately, it is nothing special. No feelings of sailing on the ocean to me.
Andy Tauer wears Rose from CDG, Nahema, No. 22, Joop! Homme
Source: His facebook account :D
7 . Thanks!
Floris - Santal
Ten sprays of Musc Ravageur just because :D
Send an e-mail to them and ask for the wax samples and you will have an idea how some of them smell.
I only tried, in liquid state, Vitriol d'Oeillet and L'Eau Froide. I much prefer the first over...
I just made a six pack abs from so much laugh! Hahaha
Thanks for the great laugh!
This thread is hilarious :D
1. Ungaro III
2. Lyric Man
Only tried a few from Frederic Malle. I would recommend Carnal Flower for one of the best florals available on the market, Musc Ravageur because is sexy, L'Eau d'Hiver for a transparent, light and...
Another vote for Musc Ravageur.
It is perfect.
I want to play this game too, therefore my scent of the night is Cuir Beluga :D
Thanks! Actually, I am going with Cuir Beluga. I have just sprayed Rose Oud and it smells too much of rose jam. I suppose it will be a vanilla and amber night for me.
If I am going out tonight, then I will wear Rose Oud by Kilian. Is RO marketed to women ?
Black XS - Oud Immortel
I have yet to try TV and between the other two I would go with MR.
Another fan of Maurice Roucel here! My favourite from him is Dans tes Bras.
I do not see Gold as a fragrance that smells of luxury. People associate the smell with the description of the perfume, but if they were to smell this one without knowing what it is, I doubt that...
I like it. Received only compliments when I wore this one.
