Hednic, would you mind posting your thoughts on this one when you have a chance to give it a wear?

Hednic, would you mind posting your thoughts on this one when you have a chance to give it a wear?
I really like many from this house, but for some reason, they have never wowed me into buying a bottle.
Of the ones that I have tried (about 20?), I like:
Malabah - a soft, spiced tea fragrance ...
4x - Fendi Theorema Esprit d'Ete
3x - L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse
2x - Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere, Comme des Garcons White, Chanel Coromandel, Hermes Hiris and Hermes Un Jardin Sur le Nil
I finished a 15ml bottle of Ava Luxe No. 23 last year (she only sells them that way now), and I bought 2 backups of it, now half way through one of them.
But that is it.......for a long time I...
I love a big oriental - up until about 80 degrees, then I find it a bit cloying. So, yes, I think adjusting application can bring out wonderful nuances for otherwise "seasonal" fragrances.
I'm joining you today, in many ways!!! I strongly dislike tuberose, so not going to be in synch - although I guess I should use synch day to get outside my comfort zone :)
I'm in MadHat Scents...
Read post #25 for his review of his purchase.
Mani done with OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam.
Went with Hermes Hiris for my first day back at work in a week or so.
I'll join the appreciation of Elixir, especially the eucalyptus note. I think this is one of the best Pens that I have smelled....
Very interesting, 30 Roses! I can't wait for my sample to arrive, hoping it comes today. This one sounds rather BIG for a Pens.
Good morning, all! Hoping for no rain today, so that I can finally finish some yard chores that I had hoped to complete during my staycation. So far it is looking good. I am wearing Chanel...
XScent, I can also deal with this Monday, as I am off work too!!!! Chanel Coromandel for me today. If the weather holds out, and it is iffy, I have a tennis match this evening, so I should still...
I went crazy in April and bought a lot of new polish (cheaper than perfume!) so today I am in a new one, Deborah Lippmann No More Drama, a tan with copper subtle shimmer.
Just finished my tips with A England Briar Rose, a stunning dark pink/maroon (magenta) scattered holo. This is probably on the verge of too dark for this time of year, but I wanted to wear it anyway.
For an awfully long day of meetings at work, I am in Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere. Hope it works :)
Posting late, but wearing a favorite - L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse. Three days until a short staycation, and I can't wait!
Love that one!
Today my tips are done in OPI Kermit Me To Speak - a metallic lilac and green duochrome.
I sampled this house several years ago, and loved Memoirs of a Trespasser! The other that I really like was the Cobra one (? a leather). Falling Into the Sea had a sharp, unpleasant note to it...
I actually prefer the EDT. To me, the lilly if full enough in the EDT (and actually a little overwhelming at first), and I appreciate the cucumber/green watery aspect that is more prominent in the...
Tips just done in A England Princess Sabra, a medium green holo.
Monday always comes too soon! Ah well, FM En Passant from an ignored sample for me today to start things off. My lilacs have been blooming for a couple of weeks, and it reminded me to try this one...
Yes, a supporting member is a paid membership. Always something to consider if you are going to visit the site much, and certainly for extensive use of the sale/trade threads.
Well done! Yes, there are some classic feminines that are great "new" masculines. Try to find O de Lancome at your local department store and give it a sniff. Cheap, and incredibly refreshing for...
Hello all! Happy Friday, and I see we all made it past hump day :)
I woke up with a strange urge for PG Coze, so I am out of synch. This is one that I wish I had hoarded, or at least gotten a...
Inspired by Jack Hunter's thread over on the Male side, I'm wearing Guerlain SDV. It has turned a little cooler here, so it seems fitting today.
Good morning all! In honor of my first iris buds showing up this spring, I am wearing Hermes Hiris!
Totally agree here. If you can find this one, I think it is one of the best from L'Occitane, if the notes are agreeable to you. Beautiful honey and immortelle.
Roberto, you know that I love how you smell today!!!:kiss:
I am in Delrae Bois de Paradis this morning, my fruity, woody lovely.
I did not finish any bottles in 2014. And if I recall correctly, I only purchased one - PdE Cuir Ottoman.
Happy Monday everyone. I'm in Hermes Un Jardin sur le Nil today, a happy green and easy fragrance for spring, which has sprung here.
Well, if you really love one of them (looks like you like VIW), you ought to buy it from them. It sounds like you could develop a very good relationship with them (and lots more samples!)
Tips in Sephora by OPI Metro Chic.
Try the Hermes Un Jardin line (there are 5 now). One of them might click with you.
Jon, that is classic!!!! :lolk: Actually, both your perfume and the Windows pic made me laugh out loud.
I will have to synch this evening because I rushed out of the house with no thought to my fragrance, and wore (finished!!!) a decant of K. Mercheri Iris d'Ardent. This one is pleasant and does not...
LOL! I have been known to do this also :)
I will sometimes get in a little fragrance rut, or lull, where I wear a fragrance several days in a row because I don't want to think about fragrances,...
I am in VC&A Bois d'Iris today - and this is not working for me because I HATE iris!!!!
April fools :)
Erin, congrats on the job. And I'm sorry about the breakup. Hugs to you :)
Agree, 30 Roses, great reviews! I love how each person picks up on different nuances! Nice!
Tips now in Chanel Starlet, a coral leaning pink with a soft shimmer.
Thank you RVB! That sounds very nice, and certainly worth a sample.
3 x L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse
2 x Chanel 31 rue Cambon
1 x Chanel Bois des Iles, Fendi Theorema, Chanel No. 5 Eau Premeire, Ava Luxe No. 23, M. Micallef Gaiac, Chanel 1932, Chanel No. 18,...
Oh, teardrop! I am going to have to use "wheelie bin"! Love it!!!!
Joining easyfish and Dr. G in Chanel today, but I am in the lovely No. 18. Warm weather brings out all the loveliness of this...
I'm in Chanel 31 rue Cambon today, which I wear often, but I did reorganize some fragrances this weekend so that I rotate a few more warm weather scents into my routine. Spring cleaning!!!
I would apply whatever I wanted to wear out that evening. Most likely a "clean" office scent that is on it's last leg won't interfere too much.
Nice collection! And cool table too! :)
Wow, Coromandel, on me, is the longest lasting of the bunch - 12 hours at least, and very potent for the first 6 hours or so. Sorry it didn't work for you, but it sounds like you had a wonderful...
That's a nice one! I love 1270! Glad you guys had fun!
This is an incredible house, but I prefer Cuir Ottoman and Ambre Russe, which I think are stand outs. Not really a bad one in the bunch to be honest.
I would not buy the fragrance then, if you are worried about batches.
Thanks hednic. I am looking forward to sampling this one.
Happy Birthday, Foustie!!!!!!
I am in synch in one of my favorite warm weather fragrances - Chanel 1932. Cool, crisp and inviting!
We are approaching the end of the first quarter. How is this going, Buysblind?!
Kiliwia, how exciting!
Roberto, oh goodness, another fan of the new Chanel. I'm trying to not even sample it, because I know I will love it. But my resolve is wearing thin. :)
I'm in M....
More iris today - PdE Equistrius, which is not my favorite but it is easy to wear.
Joining Robin in a K. Mecheri fragrance today - Iris d'Argent. Spring has sprung, and it is time to bust out the iris. My iris is leafed out, but no buds yet.
Just applied Zoya Faye to tips.
Fun indeed!!! Enjoy them all!!
Good morning all! I am wearing Penhaligon's Empressa today from the sample pass. Wishing everyone a great start to the week!
Hey guys. I was able to try Levantium and Lothhair, and will wear Empressa today.
Levantium was a miss for me unfortunately. After a bright opening, in which I could not really distinguish the...
OK, here we go! I received the samples two days ago, but have been unable to wear them yet. But today I am going to wear Levantium, so will post my thoughts either tonight or in the morning. ...
Tips now in Chanel Paparazzi.
Well, heck. I did not notice the date and did last week's synch!!! I am in Fendi Theorema (a discontinued scent). As much as I really like Theorema, I could be in Chanel Bois des Iles if I had...
30 roses, I would love to try these. Thanks for starting the pass!!!
Enjoy your girl's night out, Erin! Even if it is sans rita :)
Chanel Bois des Iles for me today. Have a good one everybody!
All the time with me too. It is one reason I did not wear perfume for many, many years. Now, I guess I just accept it, and it is not very unpleasant.
I'm joining Erin in the super late posting today, and yesterday too! I wore Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe again yesterday, and today I pulled out L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse. Yum!!!
Well, I bet you were one fine smelling gym rat! ;)
Thanks for the updates and thoughts on this one all. I will want to test soon.
Oh goodness, I forgot to synch. But it was because I was so excited that we got some snow and it is cold - which means I get to wear some BIG perfumes :) Today Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe called...
Sorry to hear about your friend, Jon. Take good care of yourself.
Wearing Chanel 31 rue Cambon today.
Jon, hoping for the best for your friend, and a big hug to you.
I'm wearing Dior Homme today.
Off to work in L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse.
30 Roses, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I know it was a long, difficult road but you are right about passing in her sleep - it is what we all hope for. Still, I know it is hard now. ...
PG Cadjmere for me today. Best to everyone!
Out of synch today, but in my favorite Chanel Bois des Iles. Happy Hour tonight is with friends celebrating a retirement, so wine o'clock will be all taken care of :)
Have a great day everyone!
Just popped A England Briarwood on to mt tips.
Happy Friday all! I'm wearing Dior Homme today, so not in synch. I'm not sure I have a clone perfume, but will think on that and if I find one, then I will wear it this evening.
30 fragrances worn for the month - a lot for me unless I go on a sample run...
3 x - Ambre 114 by HdP.
2 x - Doir Homme, Iris d'Argent by Keiko Mecheri, Ava Luxe No. 23, PdE Ambre Russe, Nicolai...
Foustie and ComDiva, you guys are in two of my favorites! Good smelling today! :vrolijk_26:
I rather enjoyed my day yesterday in the sweet, berry rose of PdN Balkis, so I am going to drain my...
Finishing up a sample of PdNicolai Balkis today, a fruity floral that wears a little sweet for me, but it is nice enough. Stayed up too late watching Rafa get beaten up, so I'll add an extra cup of...
It has a distinct immortelle note in it, which I do find similar sometimes. Certainly fits the vibe well enough.
Good morning my foodie and fragrant friends! After a wonderfully warm and sunny weekend, I am back at work today in Dior Homme. I always seem to reach for this one when I wear this specific purple...
Mrs. E, yes, let's just not talk about it....
teardrop and ExtremeK, I love that one too! I long ago finished my sample, and it, along with several other PGs, are often on my mind for...
He he he, funny thread today - there seems to be a small problem :lolk:
It is cold, windy and icy today here in sunny New Mexico - PdE Ambre Russe will do the trick to warm it up a bit.
Try going a week without wearing fragrance and then try wearing them again. Maybe you just need a break.
Hump day is upon us! Off to work in FM Iris Poudre to brighten up my long morning of meetings.
Diamondflame, thanks for the Ambre 114! You are such a gent!
OK, I'll bite, and join in the Chanelfest! Chanel No. 18 for me today. Have a great day everyone.
Thanks Mike. Yes, it is a blast of cinnamon, and I know you like your cinnamon! Sorry to hear you are sensitive to it here.
And also glad to hear your endorsement of the Hermes. I look forward to...
Good to see you, Foustie!
No holiday for me today, unfortunately. But I will be thinking about the incredible work that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did. On a recent trip to Atlanta for the...
Roberto Cavalli Oro today, as I forgot to synch. Like teardrop, I may wear some Samsara tonight.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Xscent, love that picture!!
I'm wearing Cuir de Lancome today. I stayed up too late reading last night, and I am moving SLOW this morning!
Welcome to basenotes, AbbyJo! I think it is perfectly normal to like some scents that are marketed to the men, not strange at all. Our noses like what our noses like! Enjoy the site, there is so...
Memoirs of a Trespasser is by Imaginary Authors, a US indie outfit. It is a dry, resinous (myrrhe maybe, if I remember) and vanilla rather than a sweet sweet one. I personally like that type of...
Another dusting of snow today, but I think it is supposed to clear out and warm up soon. I hate going to work in this stuff!
I'm in Ava Luxe No. 23, the parfum today. I don't think I have worn...
Arquiste Anima Dulcis. Overpriced for what it is possibly, but I find it very sexy.
G is for Grand Amour by A. Goutal
Well, well, well...thanks for that info. Dr. G.
Woke up to a dusting of snow, so I'm pulling out a warm one today. HdP Ambre 114 will be great floating up from my sweater all day. Of course, I'll probably be hot in the office :rolleyesold:
Yes, La Pausa was never meant to be long lasting and a sillage master, but yet, a master at what it does. And it does it very, very well.
Happy Birthday, kalli!!! I hope your day is wonderful!
I'm wearing Keiko Mercheri Iris d'Argent today from a decant. I don't remember trying this before, but I imagine that I have at some point....
