Thanks for letting us know. Definitely going to check out the article.

I received my most recent split yesterday. Perfect as usual. Thanks, Brian. Really too bad you will not be hosting any more splits; a bit loss to this forum, IMO.
SOTD: Malle Bigarande Concentre
SOTE: Clive Christiane X
Wearing Amouage Memoir Man today.
SOTD: Malle, Portrait of a Lady
Amouage Opus VI
Silver Mountain Water.
I'm sorry to hear that, Brian. You're splits are some of the best that I have received, and your dedication to improving the process of how splits are made is admirable.
As you will see, I...
Amouage -- Memoir Man
Dior Ambre Nuit.
L'EAU D'HIVER by Malle
Received my splits of Portrait of a Lady, Opus VI and Memoir Man. Very nicely done. Thank you for your good work!
Creed Royal Water
All of these are goo choices. Geranium PM, however, is one of my favs.
I don't typically notice tok much of a difference; perhaps a bit more longevity and silage out of a full bottle and atomizer. Cacio is right though, there is a big debate about whether a decant made...
The Perfumed Court is definitely a legit place to buy decants and samples. Decants will always be pricey due to the labor required to perform the decant. Other places to buy samples are Luckyscent,...
By Kilian -- Back to Black
Halston Z-14. Thank goodness it was cheap!
Kyoto -- Comme des Garcons
Idole and Opus IV
FM -- Portrait of a Lady
+1 for Gucci PH II and Chanel Egoiste.
There are many Amouage fragrances that I like, Reflection Man is not one of them.
Hmmm. Wonder if the quality will suffer. Definitely will have to try. Kobe is one of my favorite summer frags.
Clive Christian X
Blue Amber, Chypre Palatin, Opus VI and 1740
Absolutely agree with this. 1740 would be my choice.
Geranium Pour Monsieur for Malle - I love the clean mint opening and then the dry down on this one. To me it is a unique enough to justify the price. Some of the Amouage line, in my opinion, are...
I love this one for Spring/Summer too. It does not last long on my skin, however.
Another vote for GPHII. I also like terre d'hermes for the fall.
I usually do three sprays. 2 to the chest one to the wrist which I rub on the other wrist and neck.
For some reason this scent just does not agree with my skin chemistry. It goes really sour on me.
Couldn't agree more.
+1 on these. If you are not looking for discounted prices, or you are looking to buy samples, the Perfume Shoppe and Luckyscent are great places to get stuff. Both of those sites carry a lot of...
I hadn't thought of that before, and I didn't know it would work. Regardless, if you are concerned about the legitimacy of the bottle you purchased I would return it for a different bottle or...
No vomit accord for me when I tried it. I don't love this fragrance, but it certainly isn't terrible.
It is strange that it would say "intense" on it...
This sounds interesting. I certainly like Ambre Nuit. Where are you all getting samples from?
Wow. That's quite a haul. Enjoy!
Received three splits from Heperd yesterday. Perfectly packaged, nicely labeled and great atomizers. Will definitely join splits with you again. Thanks!!
This is a great suggestion. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth checking out. You might also want check out ELDO's Jasmin et Cigarette.
From your list, I would suggest M7. That said, I'll second the vote for Aventus.
I've never had that experience. I always keep my fragrances stored in the closet away from heat and direct sunlight. Glad it's worked out for you though.
Hmmm. I was really looking forward to trying this one, but it doesn't sound promising. I'll have to head over the Nordstrom and get a sample to check out.
This would be my recommendation as well.
Agree with this. GCPHII shares some similarities with Tea for Two, but Tea for Two is a far superior scent. If you are concerned about running out, I would purchase some back up bottles from...
This ^^^ It takes a while sometimes, but eventually the review will be posted.
These came in the mail yesterday, thanks to another BN'er.
People have on some great stuff today!
My SOTD is:
I sampled the EDP recently while on a trip in SF. It is, in my opinion, a much better version of Philosykos. It smells just as wonderful as the original edt version, but has much better longevity...
It would have to be MI for me
Was the bottle primed? In other words, did it spray on the first pump? If so, it's been used before. If you're concerned, just return it and ask for a different bottle.
All of these are good.
Sounds like its definitely worth sampling. Look forward to smelling.
I lover Memoir, it is one of my favorites from Amouage (really like Jubilation XXV and Opus VI too). I get great longevity and projection out of this one. Maybe you are a bit light on the trigger...
Nice. I just got a sample of this and can't wait to try it.
Both are important, but I think the razor is the more important of the two.
Dove Body Wash
I just use Dove. It smells good and is gentle enough to use on your face.
I spray two to the chest and one to the wrist, which I then rub onto the other wrist then onto my neck. I never spray clothes, unless it is a really weak scent.

Agree with this ^^^
I own, or have owned, all of those fragrances. Out of the ones you're sampling my favorite are MI, Aventus and SMW, probably in that order. MI is a great scent for the spring/summer, but I would...
Interesting. Definitely going to have to sample at some point.
That's awesome. Congrats on the find.
I don't really care about the bottle at all. In fact, most of the time I purchase decants or refills of the stuff I really like, which is often placed in plain atomizers. Its all about the juice...
Really interesting. Thank you for providing this information.
I keep mine out of the boxes, however, they are kept in a dark closet away from the sun and heat.
I'm not a fan of this one, love others in the line. If you like it though, definitely one you can wear daily.
Amouage Opus VI today.
Le Male. It just doesn't work for me.
+1 on this, I get much better longevity on clothes.
This is great advice/information.
I agree with the Malle suggestion. They're available at Barney's, which I believe is in the Venetion. Have a great time!
Chergui or Tobacco Vanille
I saw this too. Some of these sound interesting.
That really sucks about the Aventus, though.
I thought GPHII was being discontinued. Strange that Gucci would release an intense version. Great news though.
+1 on Sycomore. You could also try Vetiver Extraordinaire by Malle.
I've only tried the current edt formulation, and I did not like it at all.
Out of this list, Chanel Coromandel would be my preference.
Reflection Man by Amouage. Something about this one just disagreed with me. I lover Jubilation XXV and Memoir Man, however.
+1 on Halston Z-14; I just can't seem to find the right occasion to wear the stuff.
Testing this one out today.
This is a great scent for the Fall.
Tea for Two. Some compare this to Gucci PHII, but I think it is quite distinct.
Its tough to come up with just 5. My current top five are:
Tea for Two
Straight to Heaven
Three sprays. Two to the chest one to the wrist.
+1 on Jubilation XXV and Chergui; both are fantastic scents.
I bought Set Sail St. Barts and Grey Flannel at Marshalls for a very reasonable price ($20 for the former, $10 for the later). Both are nice, and both are very different.
Some of these look pretty interesting. Looking forward to sampling.
Looks interesting. Never heard of it before now. Thanks for the heads up!
I only keep one bottle of each fragrance in my collection (and some are only decants). There are far too many fragrances that I enjoy wearing for me to stock up on multiple bottles of one scent.

Tested this one out the day before yesterday -- really nice scent.
