I am quite sure all of you will be very disappointed...The fragrance is generic crap
Pure Shot is completely different from the fragrances you mention. No sweetness at all. It is not a summer oriental. It is a very fresh fragrance. It has a very slight pachouli note. I like Ice Man,...
It's not rubber, it's made of plastic
No, in CC Principe Pio, perfumeria Primor: 52 euros. Needless to say I didn't buy it. There were 2 bottles.
I found A*Men Pure Shot today here in Madrid. This could have been named Pure Sh-it. It is completely a fresh generic fragrance. It is very fresh (much more than Ice Man). The patchouli is minimum....
I find some similarities in the drydown with Fleur du Male
And what about Vanillary? I own it and ¡t is one of my favourite perfumes of all time, vanilla with smoke, jasmine, coconut, it is very longlasting, wonderful sillage and very addictive.
I like very...
My favourite is Ambre Fetiche. I also like Myrrhe Ardente and Encens Flamboyant.
I think it is an OK fragrance, although i don't think t is so unisex. I find In Black quite better.
And what about Pure Iris?
Can you really return an opened fragrance in the USA? In Spain this is impossible...
The new M7 smells very similar to the second version of M7 (not the vintage). I wold say is the same formula, maybe with a little more vetiver.
Un bois vanille
Terre de Hermes
In order of preference:
1. Ambre fetiche (Annick Goutal): this fragrance is a miracle of perfumery.
2. Ambre sultan (Serge Lutens)
3. LDDM (Tauer)
Egoïste for sure. It would be a tragedy.
Armani pour homme
Very irresistible by Givenchy: it is as good as L'Instant by Guerlain (drydown is very similar), and Very Irrestible opens in an amazing way (mint, grapefruit and chocolate/coffe)
Does anybody know how Full Incense compare to other incense fragrances? Particularly Avignon, Zagorsk, CDG Man, Tauer Incense Extreme
For a really Insane jasmine try Lush Lust. There are other sweet floral notes, but this jasmin lasts for more than 10 h.
Chanel Egoiste and Antaeus, M7, Avignon, Messe de Minuit, Ambre Sultan, Old Spice, Le Male...All of them are exceptional fragrances
Etro Sandalwood is quite nice. Not spectacular, but a high quality creamy sandalwood
I would also suggest Ambre Fetiche, is a masterpiece, I think is even better than Ambre Sultan. It has a buttery quality I like very much, with hints of iris and leather/tar.
I do it again, since somebody thought that rules are not important, and skipped me because he prefered other wardrobe...
From funraiser18 Lots of niche here hehe
L'Air du desert marocain
I sent an email to them 3-4 days ago through their webpage asking for the price of Black Oudh and Patchouli Leaves, and they didn't answer me...
I prefer Avignon. Incense Extreme is Ok, but Incense Rose is out of this world.
Zara's Lirio de Agua. More than 15 sprays. I have a 200 mL bottle which I got for 10 euros. It doesn't last at all, but it is beautiful while is still there...
Very Irresistible Givenchy
The Dreamer was awfully reformulated one or two years ago. Boxes are different, so you can know which version you have, but if you do not smell tobacco you probably have the reformulated version.
I finally found it in Barajas Airport. I liked it very much, and now I am waiting for cold weather for a full wearing.
The two new fragrances are Cedarwood (not Sandalwood) and Gaiacwood. To me, both are almost identical, only slight difference in topnotes, being brighter and better in my opinion in Gaiacwood. The...
I tried it some weeks ago. I've never tried the original. For me it didn't smell cheap at all. It is VERY potent and VERY dirty. It reminded me at first to Kouros. At first I liked it very much, but...
Try Vanillary by Lush. It's a smokey vanilla, with some jasmin and coconut. Sillage is nuclear and lasts forever.
From all the Lutens in my collection (Arabie, Fleurs du Citronnier, Ambre Sultan and A La Nuit), Un Bois Vanille is my favourite. It is really a very good scent, good sillage, longlasting, and simply...
The worst thing about that, it's that it seems to be a limited edition for USA. Here in Spain it never arrived! Grrrr
For me it smells more to olive oil than to vinegar
Two 15 ml bottles of L'Artisan Mure et Musc extrait de parfum. It's a blind buy, although I have...
The dreamer has been awfully reformulated
Check this web
There is a shop in Malaga, so maybe you can try there. You can also buy online from the web or in ebay (cheaper). From the same line,...
If you like Jasmin, two good fragrances are A la Nuit (Serge Lutens) and Lust (Lush). Jasmin bombs!
It's the first time I buy backups, and I am...
Very Irresistible by Givenchy. A wonderful fragrance which deserves more atention. Mint is mainly in the topnotes, the opening is very original. Drydown is "irresistible"
Has anybody some experience with these 200 mL bottles from Hermes called Eau D'aboundance? I have seen some bottles in ebay with good prices, and although I know the Eau de Toilettes, I wonder if...
Bienvenido al foro!
What about Arabie and Un bois Vainille? I think both of them are very sweet.
Sauna= Rochas Lui. Exact smelling of sweet wood.
I got mine there too. It can be found in ebay, from a seller in Kuwait, but quite expensive.
Yatagan smells to hash before burning it.
Well, it is a very good fragrance, but to be honest a subforum is too much. Besides, I don't get any whiskey note (mi bottle is 2009), and for me it smells like a blueberry muffin. I love it but...
I agree: Cherry/Berries (London) + Chocolate (Rochas)
Forget about the Czech&Speake one. It does not smell to Myrrhe or Frankincense at all. It smells to toothpaste...not good. You can try Farenheit Absolute, the myrrhe note is similar, although it's...
I bought mine in fragrancedirect.co.uk for only 26 euros
Yes, it's great. And longevity and projection are also very good. This fragrance makes me think about testing other Bogart scents.
When I first applied it on my skin I found it disgusting, but few seconds after I just fell in love. It is very strong, but it's wonderful. Kurkdjian is a genius. The only problem is that it is so...
Sorry, but Arabian Nights is the only Bogart scent I have tried. Sillage and longevity are both very good, similar to Egoiste for example.
I don`t know about Timbuktu, but Kyoto smells very similar to Loewe 7, although Kyoto doesn't last on my skin. Now I am very interested in smelling Timbuktu...
I feel always confused with posts about incense, because it seems that perception of this note is very subjective. Anyway, my favourites of the incense series are Avignon and Zagorsk. If you try and...
Hahahaha, and paint your left hand nails (if you are right handed)
Ouarzazate smell to dates and incense
Avignon and Zagorsk are my favourite from the incense series, both are very churchy, (but the whole incense series is brilliant), I like the original CdG parfum (spicy rose, with lots of clove and...
Mmm Marbella is quite far from Madrid or Cáceres, where I live, to try the fragrance...let's wait then.
What I have read in a review in fragrantica is that is a linear fragrance that smells like Cambodian oud, which could be very promising...
I have smelled Ambar by Jesus del Pozo and is a very weak generic sweet smell, completely forgettable. I am intrigued by Arabian Nights, since I find "In Black" also by Del Pozo an outstanding...
Ungaro III has been reformulated, I have only smelled the new version, and longevity is good and sillage discrete, but the fragrance is mediocre.
Happy new year to everybody from Spain!
Ok. so Arabian Nights (and sartoriale) arrived ten minutes ago and I am smelling right noe from my hand. I agree with a previous post claiming that this is similar to Paco Rabanne 1 million, there is...
If I am testing a fragrance on my skin, applied on hand, I breathe very close to the skin to heat the skin, and then I inhale. I guess is similar to your expeiment.
After all these comments I bought it blind today, with Pal Zileri Sartoriale (also blind) and very cheap in fragrancedirect.co.uk
Let's see what happens when the package arrives!
Yes. Gris Clair is harsh, ashy lavender, not specially unpleasant, but nothing special in my opinion.
I think transparent is the word I would use to define Annick Goutal Encense Flamboyant.
Not in my case. Maybe my absolute love for a fragrance will change in the future. And there are so many good fragrances I want to enjoy.
However, in the case of Zino...I should buy some backups!!!
I started with this hobby only 3 or 4 years ago and never thought I could wear female fragrances (maybe because I am gay?). I must admit that I don't like most of the female scents I have smelt,...
I voted Zino, which is outstanding, but both Carons are among my favourites. Loewe is the less special for my taste.
Agua de Sandalo by Adolfo Dominguez is very nice, a light sandalwood fragrance, nice in winter but better in summer and very cheap!
I think Zino is a masterpiece. Topnotes reminds me of B*men, and then you have the jasmin, the rose, and yes, there is lavender on top. At the same time there is a sweet base of sandalwood/amber (or...
Comme des Garçons Parfum: clove and rose. I find it quite similar to Old Spice, but less sweet ad more spicy.
Very similar to Cacharel, and even more similar to CdG Kyoto, but quite better. Kyoto is too subtle for my taste, whereas Loewe 7 is more powerful (but no too much), being also meditative and...
Of course, yes! First time i smelt Gucci PHII it reminded me to Farenheit, because of the violet note, although apart of that, they are quite different fragrances, being Farenheit "dirtier" and Gucci...
Loewe7 smells to clove and incense, but also slightly floral.
I won this in ebay ten minutes ago for 40 euros with shipping!
I have and love Avignon, and longevity is very good in this one. I have smelt on paper the rest of the series, and I am considering to buy Ouarzazate, and maybe Jaisalmer or Zagorsk. I liked Kyoto...
Jesús del Pozo in Black. I just sprayed it in paper an hour ago, and I am absolutely impressed. Similar to Black Orchid, and although I don't remember 100 % Black Orchid because I tested it months...
Is it Jacomo de Jacomo sweet, as the real clove spice?
Coming back to my clove fragrance, has anybody smelt Brut by Faberge? Is it clovey? Is it sweet? Maybe the jasmin, the geranium and tonka bean could be similar to clove...
I am sure the fragrance i...
Thanks, I will check it!
Nice thread! I also love clove. Today I am wearing L'Anarchiste and is great.
I need now your help and maybe this thread is a good moment to ask. I live in Spain and I have been smelling a nice...
I think it is less powdery than Acqua di Parma. You smell the rose but lemon dominates in all the stages. I don't catch any herbal or woody notes. It is a very acidic lemon, softened a little bit by...
Very Irresisitible by Givenchy. It is as good as L'Instant (Guerlain), with awesome topnotes, however, it seems that nobody here talks about it.
I smell lemon and a little of rose, it is really very citrusy, like lemon sorbet, but a little bit powdery in the background. A very good cologne but nothing really special or outstanding. Here in...
I bought a bottle of Yatagan some weeks ago and I am wearing it very much these days. It is is becoming one of my favourites. EVery time I wear it is better than last wearing. Incredible scent.
I like it a lot. For me the smell is very similar to a steam sauna. The drydown is similar to Gucci PH, but less peppery and with the beautiful neroli note in the background of the cedar base.
Get it. I think the reformulated version is as good as the vintage. Outstanding fragrance.
Mmm I wonder how much my Kenzo Power bottle weighed when I bought it...
