Mona di Orio Vanille
I think it's good.
I only own a few of his scents. I think they're definitely high quality, but I don't know if they're that far above Amouage or Clive Christian. I do think that Scandal and Vetiver are really nice...
Like others have said, there are a few from the house that are nice. I enjoy:
It's a great fragrance, but I agree that there are better in that genre. And definitely cheaper
I think X is definitely worth owning and like people mentioned, if you're wanting to save some money, you might want to get in a split. If you're only going to be wearing one fragrance all the time,...
If it did, I'd be peeing my pants on a regular basis.
Came here to say this.
I love Amouage as well. Currently, I'd struggle to pick my favorite. Memoir, Opus VI and Lyric are definitely up there.
I think all are overpriced, but I don't mind paying for:
How are the shower gels?
X is a great scent. I really like it. C is very nice as well.
I'm not great with descriptions. Some of the reviews on it are pretty accurate. I just know I've been reaching for it more lately and it's a great work scent.
Kicks all forms of ass...
My wife said that L'Humaniste made her want to take her shirt off
I adhere strictly to species classifications.
What would be incorrect? Location? Amount?
I just go with the refills.... I don't see the point in the extra money. I know others disagree.
I agree with Vetiver Geranium. I only own that and Cedre Blanc though, I haven't tried the other two.
A few that are up there for me:
Gives her opinions and enjoys the many that I've bought for her along the way.
The opening didn't seem as bad as most made it out to be IMO. I'm really enjoying this. The middle and base notes are great. Good longevity. Not sure why I don't reach for this more.
I think it was removed because there was humor involved. More than one person on here was amused, and that cannot be tolerated.
They probably stopped it now
First time anybody actually picked up on the username...nice
Good one. I love this. Also, I've been feeling a little more gentleman-like while wearing Italian Cypress lately...
the sales forum will bring...
At the moment...
Geranium Pour Monsieur
Roja Dove Scandal
Green Irish Tweed
X and C are very nice. X is my favorite. I usually go with 2 sprays. 3 at most.
I really like Vetiver Extraordinaire in the cooler months, but I'm usually open to whatever.
You. Are. Crazy.
Roja Dove Vetiver
I prefer the simplicity of:
Dior Homme Line
A great scent. My wife likes it even more than me. I agree that longevity isn't amazing, but if you spray it on clothing, it should last long enough for most engagements.
The ones I like are:
I wear things anywhere, but APLS and Leather Oud tend to be more at home.
1270 is boozy. I prefer it over SDV. Opus VI is my favorite of all of these though.
That seems to make sense. Lately, I've been doing one spray on either forearm and one on either shoulder, and I seem to be able to detect things for a much longer time than spraying on the neck or...
I'm starting to think 3-4 max is probably best for me to smell everything longer.
Creed Vetiver Geranium
Amouage Journey Man
LM Hard Leather
AdG for men. Probably Chanel No.5 for women.
Dior Patchouli Impérial
I might look into this. Vetiver is my favorite note.
Aventus is one I've always had trouble with. I've been wearing it for years and receiving compliments long after I can't smell anything. The other day, I smelled it for the first time up to 7 hours...
Not a summer scent for me. Only fall or winter, and rarely then. It's potent.
Thanks. You're able to smell pretty much everything for a long time this way?
Where do you normally spray?
Memoir or Opus VI
Why did Jeremy quit?
Chergui or Ambre Sultan
I remember the 120ml being $250 just a few years ago. I guess everything has to go up.
Crap. Oh well...I guess I'll just enjoy them both and not worry about it.
It may be the woods instead of the patch. Like I was saying, I know the two aren't similar for the most part. It's only the 5-7 hour mark in Aventus and the first 20 minutes of Straight to Heaven.
I think Lyric is far better
About 5-7 hours into Aventus makes me think it smells almost identical to the opening of Straight to Heaven? I know the fragrances aren't identical throughout, just these two points in their...
I'd have to say Green Irish Tweed...for now
Roja Dove Vetiver Extrait is moving up my list too.
Usually the same. As stated above, if anything, I think the bottle is usually better.
Chergui is still nice. The new Dior Homme smells good as well. I don't have the nose others do, so maybe I can't pick up on the nuance, but I usually don't experience the issues others do with...
I'm not a patchouli fan either, but I like Patchouli Imperial by Dior
I like the EDT, but I did pick up the Parfum too and think it's pretty similar.
I recently got this and I'm enjoying it. I can see the comparisons to Tobacco Vanille, but I prefer this because it doesn't have a heavy vanilla note. I want to wear this, but I agree that it doesn't...
I have the same issue. I need to wear the great ones instead of saving them for some unknown occasion.
Clive Christian X
I'd say Lyric Man. Although, I have been underspraying everything to see if that helps me smell things better.
Smooth citrus that lasts all day. I like it, but I can see why others might not think it was spectacular. It's very simplistic.
I'd like to have a magnetic cap on mine too. At least it stays on ok. Did you order the shower gel from Amouage directly?
I actually like the sprayers. I only wish my nose was better so I could detect them all day. I still think I need to figure out the proper places to spray where I can enjoy things more.
Everything other than Fahrenheit and Le Male
Very well done. So, you don't wear it currently?
Mine isn't on here... Vetiver
Molton Brown Black Pepper Recharge
I agree with Honour Man. You may want to also look into Journey Man.
I agree with others on here that I prefer Rose 31. I think Baie Rose is good, but I don't think I'd like to smell like it often.
Concentre d'orange verte
I'll also agree with Tam Dao.
Another really good one for this category.
Probably L'Humaniste or Pure White Cologne. I'm also partial to Neroli Portofino.
Grey Vetiver....I really enjoy it now...although, vetiver is definitely my favorite note currently.
Beware, it's the same stuff that made me think that Comme des Garçons sounded like "come, take our son" every time I said it...
Jeux de Peau
When l drink 16oz of water... I think... "I just drank $1,400 worth of Spice and Wood... I also think similar things when purchasing shampoo. I think I have the illness...
Amber Aoud is probably the most unique. I like it, but I don't feel it's very versatile. Someone smelled me and said it smelled like an old guy's cigarette beard..I disagree, but that was...
I picked up a few of his bottles and I'm starting to think parts of Scandal remind me of Italian Cypress. Anybody else get this vibe?
Tom Ford Extreme
Millesime Imperial for a cafe lunch date. Aventus for an evening out.
I came here to mention this. I agree. It's great, especially in the summer.
I don't apply when going to the gym, I find that whatever I was wearing earlier that day, or the night before is reanimated when I start to exercise. Especially Pure Malt.
Very similar. I prefer OV though. Like others have said, Neroli Portofino isn't anything like either one.
Thanks. I think I'll be wearing this more as well. I think it's great even during the warmer weather, whereas Opus VI seems a little heavy in the heat.
Bumping this since I have this now...I have to say, it may be my second favorite from the Opus line behind VI.
