The Oud masterpiece
My sample is almost empty.... and I'm going to buy a big bottle in a week or so.
I love this stuff.
My first Prada and my first "Sport" fragrance.
The comparison to Le Male and Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin is spot on.
The opening smells like Dove Clean Comfort deodorant, which has also been compared to Le Male.
I wore this from a sample...
I won't deny that wearing a good fragrance can have a strong effect on women.
But honestly, some women think you're a total idiot when you are wearing these "sexy, highly complimented" fragrances.
Isn't it strange that a high-end brand like Amouage appears on the grey market?
I have used the last drops of my Reflection Man sample, and I'm loving it.
Are there any cheaper clones out there?
Excluding: Le Male, Xerjoff Kobe and APOM.
I have recently bought full...
But it has no civet?!
Individuel is extremely loud, I'm sure this contains some of the vintage Joop Homme aroma chemicals lol...
I wore PE 360 Red and l'Homme by YSL for multiple interviews with all the departments.
I got the job.
Montale Dark Aoud
Frapin actually changed their packaging again.
This is not what I got when I bought l'Humaniste:
This is one of the fragrances that may cause serious nose fatigue.
I get different results with every wearing, simply because the huge blast of topnotes locks your nose.
Trust me, this is a beast.
Words can't describe how much I love this scent.
My 2ml sample was empty...
Does anyone know if these are spray samples?
So why exactly did Dior launch this horrifying, cynical, generic fragrance called "Sauvage"?
Because you disappointed them with the sales of their more artistic fragrances like Fahrenheit, Dior...
Terre d'Hermes is the polar opposite of sexuality.
If you want to repel women, this is the perfume you need to buy.
Making an Iso E bomb which is a women repellant is quite an accomplishment....
I'm wearing my decant for the third time now, and today I got a feminine impression out of l'Humaniste.
Strange... might be a bit too unisex.
I have nothing against fresh / generic / calone bombs, as you can see in my fragrance wardrobe.
Dior is indeed an amazing house and a pioneer in perfumery delivering niche quality masterpieces....
The expectations are high for this one.
Amber, woods, peppery bergamot....
Sounds like a nightmare.
This stuff will get blasted for sure.
l'Humaniste is an absolutely beautiful perfume.
In the far drydown, I notice a powdery vibe a la DHI.
It's very sexy, like a niche version of Fierce.
The thing is, I'm often wondering if that...
Naming it "Sauvage" makes it a flanker of Eau Sauvage, end of story.
I am really enjoying my sample of Citiver by Dueto Parfums.
Forget the old fashioned, stinky vetivers.
This is a sexy and modern vetiver fragrance. A must try IMO.
Naming this "new" fragrance Sauvage is a huge mistake, since they already have Eau Sauvage plus the flankers.
This is something that has been bugging me for a long time.
I've noticed that my nose often has an offday, or shall I say, offdays.
Perfumes that once smelled strong and complex with countless...
Sartorial is IMO much flatter and not comparable at all in terms of quality / projection / sillage.
Since you like to get compliments... I can tell you that Invasion Barbare garners the attention of...
I am going for quality over quantity for sure.
I recently bought Invasion Barbare so yeah...
Invasion Barbare (75ml) without the bust
Handling money, onio-whatever.
Whatever the problem is, it should not be linked to perfumery.
I am getting sick of the ongoing negativity about this hobby.
I can easily go for (at least!) 30 days without buying full bottles, samples or decants.
The problem Dell is referring to in his...
Does anyone have more information about a possible reformulation?
Today I tested at least 15 "different" fragrances in a well known shop.
Well, I should say different brands since the fragrances were microvariations of each other.
I smelled a lot of violet...
l'Air du Desert Marocain... my brain was like a dry desert.
These are the kind of names you get when there is no more inspiration, while the hunger for money never ends.
There seems to be a "Roja Dove" fanbase who has impressive amounts of money to burn for...
It's disgusting and insanely stupid how they handle this situation.
They should be paying for the shipping since it's THEIR mistake.
You can't let a customer pay more for a contaminated product!...
Terre d'Hermes without a doubt.
Smelled this on paper today.
Very similar to Le Male, just a bit sportier.
Seriously guys, trying this on skin, all I can smell is 1 Million.
This joke needs to stop.
They shipped me a new box of samples because of the leakage, which was not necessary.
The service these people offer is very good, and very fast.
They are passionate about their project.
I don't care how cheap a sample set / discovery set is.
The samples should not be leaking, period.
If samples are damaged, they are exposed to air and evaporating, which as you know is not good....
I also received the sample set. One of the samples leaked in the box.
I emailed them and within 24 hours, they mailed me back.
The leaking sample will be replaced. Let's wait and see...
Drone is the joke of the line-up.
Fresh, airy, transparent, minimalistic.
Nose fatigue inducing. Designer-esque.
Very wearable and recognisable.
Green, grassy vetiver.
I hate this stuff.
That creamy/minty orange lasts for hours on my skin.
It just doesn't fade.
Same with Pure Malt, those boozy/berry topnotes last till the end.
Ferragamo Black (sample)
The opening is nice.
It dries down to something very old school.
And quite frankly, cheap to my nose.
This minimalistic BS in the MFK line is infuriating.
I'm getting a ton of creamy and minty orange with some vague gourmandish patchouli peeking through.
I don't really recognise any reference to Pure Malt or the original A*Men in this.
Yes indeed. To me it smells like Allure Homme + La Nuit + ..... Fierce by A&F.
I can't believe how good this is. Black is sex in a bottle.
24 Gold (sample)
There is something high-pitched and sharp about Noise that doesn't fit the video.
The opening is close to unbearable and evokes the darkest thoughts in me.
It smells like something you would wear...
I can honestly say that the weirdest things happen when I wear Fierce.
It sounds surreal, I can barely believe it myself, but I'm not joking. I wish I was.
There are days that I would like to...
Ignoring his overpriced creations is the best advice.
Both are Tuscan Leather clones.
What are the differences and which clone do you prefer?
Loewe 7 (sample)
Everyone can give their opinion about the pricing of products.
I don't want to ruin the fun but.... the sample set... are those spray samples?
And do they add shipping costs?
I have raved about this perfume quite a bit on this forum.
Even made various topics about it.
It's very unique in the Oud realm.
High quality ingredients.
Jeremy Fragrance calls this a "one night stand" fragrance if I'm correct.
It's just a big fat IES effect, overhyped to the max.
Packaging is okay.
Samples were inside bubble wrap and put into a padded envelope.
For a package worth $60, I had to pay $32 customs fees.
Since they can't mail perfumes worldwide,...
I have nothing against hyped fragrances.
LIDGE - DHI - Pure Malt - Aventus - I own them all.
Now CH Men...... meh.
It opens with a sour green aroma similar to 212 Men.
It dries down to a...
I strongly suspect you have nose fatigue.
Demachy creations rarely lack projection and sillage.
Just look at DHI, Colonia Intensa Oud, Eau Sauvage Parfum.
All of these have monster projection.
Eau For Men (sample)
Yes, I notice this too.
There is quite a drastic change in the drydown.
Yes, I am blown away.
Eau For Men is simply amazing.
I can't believe it.
The iris on top is deconstructed to take the feminine aspects away.
It quickly morphs into the most amazing...
The Lomani for sure.
Okay, I've put MyPerfumeSamples to the test.
I ordered some 3ml spray samples, worth $60 without shipping.
It needs to ship from the States to Europe so it's quite a distance.
The exclusivity of niche is not about the fragrances anymore.
It's about the bling bling packaging and ridiculous profit margins.
The Roja Dove line is overpriced. Tacky packaging.
I wouldn't even buy them if I was a millionaire.
Weird, they seem to use boxes for shipping which is much safer, but you are getting padded envelopes... hmmm....
This opera line is more expensive than the Xerjoff Shooting Stars.
I mean seriously, who buys this stuff?! $480 for 60ml?!
It's even more tacky than the "glitter & glamour" of Roja...
I don't agree. The quality of the fragrance should match the price, or should I say the "illusion" of quality.
Which means that I don't need to know the cost of each ingredient.
If the perfumer can...
I would be very surprised if Tauer is not referring to this.
I love it! :vrolijk_26:
I see this a lot in my country, especially in the big cities.
Some guy walks in, grabs a bottle of Gucci Blablabla, and applies 8 to 10 sprays.
These guys are the exact reason why more and...
Vintage Fahrenheit (sample)
It's funny because it reminds me a bit of Aventus...
Curve - 5 to 6 sprays
Eau Sauvage Parfum / Colonia Intensa Oud / Kouros - 1 spray
Yes, especially in the A*Men Pure series.
True Star Men (sample)
Bois d'Iris (sample)
On you or on her?
I am indeed referring to The Different Company.
Really? No civet?
Damn, I'll have to buy this.
This is such an amazing iris perfume.
Probably the most masculine iris I have ever smelled, it's perfectly unisex and wearable.
And sensual. Amazingly sensual actually. And haunting.
How obvious is the civet in Fraicheur compared to the original?
It needs to blow me away.
Buy me some Invasion Barbare and I shall forgive you, my son.
Otherwise, the Secretions Magnifiques shall come down on you with stinky karma.
So now they bought 2 companies which print expiration dates on their bottles.
I can see where this is going.
Beats many expensive niche fragrances.
It projects heavily btw.
