Not a bad looking $475 bottle
I don't mean to sound patronising, but have you had experience with these kind of animalic fragrances before?
Over spray this in hot weather and prepare to get some nasty looks.
Cuir Cannage is like a Leather Oud light. I get the same dirty stink but much more wearable.
Because it stinks, its civet and unrine to my nose.
I like Oud Ispahan but not sure if its full bottle worthy (fbw)
You can't buy it online anywhere, only other option is eBay. I never paid full retail and I had to bite the bullet. But I highly recommend sampling this first, this is the most polarising fragrance...
The incense only comes in after 4 hours for me. The top is very soft and there is virtually no mid, so much so I though the scent died.
Bleu de chanel
Wearing this today because I got it for cheap. But this just a clone of BDC.
Coke must of got reformulated. Maybe you had the vintage stuff.
For me its the chemical smell I get from TL that reminds me of coke. I don't know how to describe the smell.
They say it smells like cocaine (ex-user) because it does. I don't get any leather just cocaine then a smoky raspberry.
I like cocaine, so I vote Tuscan Leather.
Never smell Aventus on anyone, apart from once on a SA in the Creed department. But in general I never smell scents on anyone.
Haha... Creed and Montale couldn't be more different.
This stuff is no good. Smells a little feminine and old fashioned.
This is not released till august.
Ambre Nuit is the really the only one I like. Oud Ispahan is also good but I don't think its fbw.
How are finding the performance? I got a 2015 bottle and the performance is lacking. The...
4 of October, 2013
23 of March, 2010
Mine is brownish in colour, I know the ones older than mine are green.
The performance of mine is below average. I'm not a fan of it, so don't really care.
Good call, you dislike it, Creed must vault it asap. Any other fragrances that we should discontinue for you sir?
You're a brave man, one of the most unsafe and unpleasant smell I've ever had the misfortune of smelling.
Just the AA1 code is need to check the date. And you are correct it from October 2011, congratulations.
Where did you buy it from? I wouldn't mind some vintage juice myself.
Some of the reviews says this is pretty good and I almost blind bought it myself. But my disappointment with Nuit d'Issey left a bitter taste in my mouth. Its also supposed to be similar if not the...
How you finding l'air du marocain?
At least fragrance boxes are small. My shoe boxes have taken over a whole room.
Even Knize Sec?
There aren't many UK sellers. And the one that do sell them don't offer attractive prices (often only slightly cheaper than from a discount retailer) or sell items that just aren't popular.
The stink level has been toned down as well cloves. It much more wearable now. It last at least 6 hours plus on me.
Thats almost the same price as the Dior Boutiques, I recently picked up a 120ml bottle for £165 (230 Euros) :( Plus I really had to shake the SA down for a free Dior Privee miniature sample. At...
It's not available online, would mean travelling to France.
You can't and God knows I tried. I'm 1/10 Jewish so don't like to pay anything full retail. But I had to for Collection Privee and its the most expensive fragrance I've purchased on a per ml basis.
You can find Aventus for a lot cheaper than that if order from France.
If you mean backup bottle? Then none.
If you mean a repurchase after finishing the initial bottle? Then none, I have never finished a bottle... yet.
I avoid using Paypal for international payment as their exchange sucks.
Yeah its a good saving from the RRP but its still 475 bucks on something I wouldn't wear much. I going to sample it again this weekend, to see how I feel about it.
Also for Aventus I'm bored of...
But you said you already have the non-magnetic cap bottle? Whats the last 4 digits of your batch number out of curiosity?
I've found it for $475 and I've been considering buying it too and I don't even like spice and wood
Go to a black-out room and shine a powerful torch throught the bottle.
If it a good price than what's the problem. For me it cost almost £100 so not such a good deal.
So you been wearing the reformulated version? Where do you find time to wear all these fragrances?
The reformulation happened around late 2013 and they new version is very weak compared to the...
That is crazy, seeing as Frederic Malle website offers free samples (3.5ml atomisers) you just pay for postage.
Glad you able to get such great performance out of it. I find it just ok, 6 out...
It's either Silver mountain water or Erolfa.
Neither are signature worthy imo but if I was forced to pick one at gunpoint and my family held hostage I would begrudgingly mumble Original Vetiver
That's an all star lineup, you have good taste.
Xerjoff a bit too expensive for signature wear
I find that hard to believe. Don't you blind buy a lot of fragrances based on notes. Owning that many bottle you must fall out of love with some, as your taste change. Your true 5 stars are the one...
Sand Aoud by Mancera... wow... this stuff stinks! I said to the SA this stuff doesn't smell good, He replied "yeah its not my favorite either". I sniffed my hand again and said " I need to wash...
The 2013 batch of MI is killer, I remember sampling it. I can only get the 2015 batch at a good price now so don't want to risk it
That's a good mistake. I don't like the original and find the flanker better.
I don't find any of the Thierry Mugler fragrances any good with the exception of Mugler Cologne.
Dior Homme Parfum, very little used as you can see from the picture, comes boxed.
I do a double tap in 3 areas with all my fragrances, single tap for strong fragrances. Both sides of the neck and 1 mid chest. When I want that little bit extra I spray back of neck and both arms....
And thats why I don't wear Aventus. Everyone bangs on about how they wear it for themselves and not for compliments. Well I do want to wear for myself and want to be able to smell it.
Cologne Indélébile has a nice opening, very fresh out of the shower vibe. Decent projection for about 2 hours and then boom...light skin scent. Pricey for what you get.
This is tough, BDC is much more versatile... you can wear that all day everyday. DHI not so much, its smells better that BDC imo but not something I would wear all the time.
Masculin Pluriel by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, not sure if it's just me or is this very weak. Once the top burns off I hardly smell the base unless I put my face to my skin. I'm getting about 2-3...
Is there anywhere online in Europe that sells this stuff?!?!
Dior website store locator brings up stores but they don't have it on the website.
Anyone managed to find this online?
CH Men got reformulated way before this latest version. I got a 2013 bottle and that's weak as well.
Its from FragranceNet, no need for me to look at the pictures, its real.
DHI blew my sock off when I first smelt it, DHP was just meh. DHI is fun and sexy, DHP is mature and serious. The only thing DHP has over DHI is longevity and projection, DHP is absolute beast in...
What happens when photography and fragrances clash. One is a passion the other some might say an addiction.
I think I've met you. I was Tesco and I was almost choked out by some guy wearing Pure malt... Not a good look.
Escentual never sold Creed, not on online anyway.
If you want Creed better to order direct from France. I get my Creeds from Nose.fr free delivery and faster than allbeauty.
Cedrat Boise by Mancera
Ok, nothing special just like everyone says smells like Aventus without the smoke.
Profumum Acqua Viva
Ok, smells nice and fresh but not sure worth the price tag.
Armani Prive (online only)
House of Fraser & John Lewis
Tom Ford Blend (Very limited selection)
Creed (Limited selection)
I buy my Creeds direct from France now, half the price.
Haha, ain't that the truth.
Yeah I noticed that Dior and Guerlain private line can only be purchased instore. The Selfridges in London have a good selection. But your other more mainstream department store, HoF, John Lewis......
A4315Q01, its the 75ml bottle and no design changes same as the older bottles.
BDC for sure. The reformulated Fierce is no longer fierce, hence why the released an intense version. I found CH Men has very soft projection for the first few hours and after becomes more of a skin...
Maybe true for the ones with the new sprayers. But my 2015 bottle of Royal Oud, the cap would come off if I held the bottle upside down.
... Make caps that fit? Out of my 8 bottles that I own, only 1 of them isn't super loose.
You are spot you, I do have a compulsive behavior and this extends to more than just fragrances. I think being on the forum isn't helping matters, I'm bit of a sucker for hype and already got the...
I think I've a problem, I can't stop chasing the dragon.
I'm constantly on the hunt for the next "The one" fragrance. Each time I think I found something I like, I seem to get bored of it...
Same for me. I think some of them are quite nice but doesn't wow me and certainly doesn't justify the price tag.
This on eBay?
Sampled it again today and I don't mind the top but even after time you grow to enjoy the it, the general public wouldn't. The top note do last a long time and when the animalic part fades the scent...
My May breakdown. Interlude Man would be top, as thats my signature scent.
Interlude Man (8 wears)
Erolfa (4 wears)
CH Men (2 wears)
Silver Mountain Water (2 wears)
Tuscan Leather (2...
I think Wonderwood is ok but RO is great. I can understand the similarity, they don't smell the same but I get a similar vibe.
RO is almost double the price of Wonderwood, so it depends if you...
Maison Francis Kurkdjian APOM
Creed Royal Oud (Didn't much of it when I tried it a year ago, but has grown on me now)
I do 6 plus on this one, with a few on my clothes for good measures.
APOM pour Homme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian this stuff projects and last.
haha, good one, very funny...
Allure Homme Sport
Versace Pour Homme
Fo'sho, DHP knocks MIP out cold.
Glad you took the time to read the opening post.
There were about 5 bottles on the shelf in Westfield Stratford.
1oz is stupidly expensive, 17oz is stupidly cheap for a creed ($55 per 1oz).
No one is going to notice the difference if you're wearing Aventus or AB, so why bother.
A*Men is a young scent/clubbing scent. It too loud and don't see it fitting in a professional environment.
Bleu is great, I never found it that great on first sniff. But this stuff wears so well and that whiff you get when its transitions through its different phase is so joyous.
I don't get wow much,...
Bleu de chanel
An everyone man scent with mass appeal. If your not a big fragrance person this is the only bottle your ever need.
Nothing spicy about Bois d'Encens
To me it starts off totally DHI in the mid it becomes more vintage DH. Then the base is a classy boozy vanilla, tonka which is slightly smokey. Bit too soft and sits too close to the skin for me.
No decants bottles only, let me know what you got.
You guys were right, they smell nothing a like. Ambre fetiche has a generic type of sweet amber, not of the smoke/incense from Interlude. Interlude man is miles better.
They should of called this Dior Homme intense Privee. As to my nose they smell too similar.
Summer scents? I wear what I want. 90 degrees plus I'll still be rocking Tuscan leather and Interlude Man.
You're right, I do despise you! I despise you for having a good batch of TL. I can do 6 spays of TL and I don't get monster projection. Its strong for the first few minutes but then it dies down...
In the words of Hednic, thanks for sharing.
I'll go check it out this weekend when I do my food shop at Marks.
LOL... DHI and La Nuit not someone who likes to push the boat out. Also from fragrance profiling I would say thread starter could also be into Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce, 1 Million etc and be in...
