  87. Re: Kouros Lovers: A case of olfactory masochism?

You know what Cool Water reminds me a bit of? Urinal cakes or bathroom cleanser. Not a horrible scent really and it's only intense in the first couple of minutes, but it is there. I think alot of...

Re: Dirty English and this "campfire" smell

Dirty English contains agarwood. Some agarwoods smell somewhat like a campfire or smoke. It's a really complex scent and probably has more to do with the other ingredients as well.

    Another...

Re: suggest a tobacco and leather frag please

I'm going to try my hand at making a tobacco scent one of these days, though my scent may be inspired more by Eastern tobaccos perhaps. Maybe Latakia or pungent Oriental leaf moreso than what many...

    Re: Agarwood (oud) oil!

Today I'm wearing Oud al-Maliki I bought from ambressence off eBay. This stuff is strong. I put about a half drop on my wrist and I'm tripping a bit on oud. I had my bro smell it and he told me...
  91. Re: Kouros Lovers: A case of olfactory masochism?

Sounds to me like it won't be in the top 10 so that's good for me... I hate wearing ordinary frags. And if smells strong, all the better. I just need to get a decant somewhere.

    BTW, I love...

    Re: Agarwood (oud) oil!

Hmm... great ideas. I think the cheap oud I got blends well with alot of synthetic and natural basenotes. It really seems to pull the oud in different directions. I think the latter synth oud is...

    Re: Rich smelling cologne?

I've known a few old money semi-wealthy people... and most of them wear whatever they want, usually something not trendy or too new.

I think a somewhat antiquated or older fragrance would tend...

Re: need some supplies to get started

I've been experimenting with mineral oil, too.

BTW, I've heard about fractionated coconut oil... anybody tried that? Jojoba is expensive at my local stores, about $7 for a small bottle. I want...

Re: I'm GLAD the old bag hated my cologne!!!

Oh, I encounter people like that once in a while, really rude people that push my patience. Just not worth getting too steamed about and losing your cool. Honestly it happens more on the roads than...

    Re: Agarwood (oud) oil!

I may check that out just for educational purposes. I'm especially interested in the Indonesian ouds with the floral scents. I think the oud I got (Burmese) is perhaps typical of what some people...

    Re: top 5 most overplayed?

It seems the common thread through all those is Acqua di Gio, Cool Water, Armani Code.

Interesting you all mention A-Men. I've never smelled than on anybody where I live (near Orlando). I...

    Re: Carnation for a man?

Tabac. Lots of carnations in there, maybe a little lavender. Fougere type base.
