Congrats! I really love this!
Roberto Cavalli Man
Spice and wood, no contest.
pm: TF Oud Wood
I'd like to comment, that my bottle from the late 90's didn't seem to that prominent BO/dirty note found in today's juice. At least not to my recollection. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was surprised when I...
I need to retest this one and give it another chance.
A combination of the two?? As a consumer, I purchase what appeals to me and I'll wear.
I'll make a general statement just because I don't remember the names of most. There are a few pleasant and tolerable ones such as Bleeker Street, Chez Bond. Riverside drive has a gorgeous dry down...
I don't consider myself to have many, but I select whatever grabs me in the moment according to what I'm in the mood to wear. It usually takes me less than a minute to decide and I'd even say less...
Olivier Creed. For me, its not quantity, but quality. Both have hit and misses as mentioned, but I have and wear more of Olivier's work.
Brut would be my pick. Stetson is also good. I can't do the current old spice.
It's all relative.
I enjoy the original also and like it better.
I usually wear something different everyday unless I get fixated on something. Perfectly normal.
+1 Alfred sung hei. I use to love the stuff along with cerruti image. Can't find either one these days.
A fine scent. I need to replenish.
I selected D because I don't WANT to, but could if I had to.
Dougczar is spot on! Nice review shorts! Also nice reviews by Hednic. Pay attention to our resident frag debonaires!
Star USA had potential. Smells great but far too weak and in that goofy bottle that makes using the product stressful. Like Chuck, I've yet to find a gem in the line.
Creed: spice and wood would be my choice
Tom Ford: oud Wood
Lancome: Balafre; another fav and choice of mine
MI. I blind bought it. I'd say it was a good choice.
I agree. However, I've had nothing but compliments with TDH. Love this stuff. Absolutely no urine smell whatsoever. I wouldn't wear it if thTwas the case. Either your friend was just being rude or...
Most everything we consume and produce has an odor from food to body odor. The sense of smell serves as a warning system to detect rancid food, fires, and other dangers. We simply use this gift for...
The one I tested at macys smelled rancid.
I haven't chosen yet, but wanted to say there are a lot of fantastic smelling folks here!
Eau de Man Purse; the perfect tote for your tote lol
Not a tuberose fan so I'll pass.
Price range? Derby, MI, Dior Homme, etc. I'm drawing a blank. It's such a special day that I hope he finds the perfect one!
When I don't have much sleep, I can't wear fragrance. Gives me a headache as I'm already that way anyhow. I have to be fully rested and feel good. My sinuses have been acting up so I haven't worn...
I haven't seen this either.
I like this one as well. Very well done.
Spice and Wood
I agree with you.
I liked this one. I've only seen it in duty free.
I definitely thought it was a unique leather but don't think I'd wear it.
Sartorial - a classy upscale version of Brut
TF Oud Wood
Creed Spice and Wood
Basically whatever gets you in the mood. I lift as well and commend you on your goals!
I'd repurchase about 80% of my small collection. They have to wow me in some way to be I'm my possession. The rest I like, but can live without.
It is present, but is blended as to not take the center stage. It works in harmony to smooth some edges out. I totally love this fragrance!
Nice haul mdcix!
I got my second bottle of the 6.8oz. It just seems to fit when nothing else does.
Sniffed this again tonight. Pleasant but didn't care for it.
As noted in another thread, it didn't grab me in a WOW way. I thought it was nice, but nothing special. I do need to smell it again to be certain though.
It struck me as okay. Maybe I should sample again.
I'm leaning towards memoir.
Sounds interesting. Will sniff it if I get the chance. I do like No.1, V, and C so perhaps this is another winner??
Spice and Wood
I liked kouros from what I remember of it.
Kouros: when golden showers wasn't enough
Aventus: liquid panty remover that works
1 million: what you'd have to pay me to wear it.
Perhaps I'll pop in to smell it.
I love Eternity and will sniff this when it comes out.
Ferragamo Acqua Essentiale
Sounds awesome! I must acquire a sample!
I've never sampled it. Can you describe it other than Bruce Le in a bottle? Lol
The EDT is cardamom prominent and I suspect this is the declaration association since both share this note. It's worth it if you like it. At this time it isn't for me, but I've considered it before.
Balafre, Eternity, Spice and Wood
This came to my mind. I love it, but sometimes it can be too sharp and hard to wear. I plan to revisit this one to see if I've changed my unfaithful ways.
Alpine suede sounds awesome! I love their twilight woods.
Agree and it's quite unique.
I chose B and agree with Hednic in that I tend to obey house specification and my nose tends to agree and most fem scents are to sweet or floral for me.
I tend to feel this way. My nose perceives sweetness more than it use to so now I prefer TDH for my fix of ISO E super.
Properly bathed in Balafre and just can't get over myself, if I must confess :)
I use to be a fan, but now I view the house as an instrument of damnation to fragrance enthusiasts.
Am. Balafre. 5 sprays is the majolica number
Tried it this weekend. It's not bad smelling as it's somewhat pleasant, but it's sweet and mainstream that comes off as weak. Pass.
This is just a true gem. I read all the notes yet you can't depict them really. Utterly gorgeous and classy. I could bathe in this. Many thanks to Hednic for without him touting how wonderful it...
Thank you sir Hednic. I also believe it is EDT and was confused when their website said parfum spray. Thanks a lot!
I just purchased another bottle from the Lancome website. It says parfum spray, but the email I received says EDT. Can anyone explain the discrepancy?
Great to hear. I have never sampled your fragrances, but the hype has me curious indeed! I look forward to discovering your line!
Another bottle of Balafre! I'm going through mine kinda quickly. I just love this stuff and wished I could get it...
I havent had the urge to sample these due to the strength.
Awesome! I still love this one and feel it is quality juice. A gem for sure!
Sniffed this again today. Smells like cat urine. A tiny hint of the former plum and DNA, but the patchouli heavy juice laced with spices smells dank.weak and just nasty. Epic fail.
Anything wood about it?
Derby without question
If I get a chance I'll sniff it, but not enthused.
For its price point, it's niche quality. Very good stuff indeed.
I didn't care for the scent enough to buy it but wished it wasn't D/C for those that love it.
I've wondered this. I don't find either suggestion to smell similar. I also haven't found anything to smell similar. Anyone else?
Spice and Wood
.....I CAN'T COUNT lol
I don't feel that "long lasting" equates to being "allergy free". Best bet is to test fragrances you're interested in and through trial and error, perhaps you'll discover what you can tolerate. I...
Martin, I would agree. The old one looked more majestic, bold, and made a statement. Though the new bottle holds the same amount of juice, I don't feel it looks more modern, in fact, I was thinking...
Late to the party but my choices would have been:
TF Oud Wood or Italian Cyprus
For a designer I love Eternity.
6.7 oz of Wonderful Green Musky Goodness!
All objective to the person. Though Himalaya isn't a bad fragrance, there is something sharp in it thats induced a headache with me. I don't think the sandalwood dry down in that agrees with me.
Statistically? I don't understand that, but I think I know what you mean. Black Aoud, Epic Man, Royal Delight, Memoir Man.
