Is the cost of the sample set still deducted from the cost of a full bottle? It was when I ordered, but they've added a lot of new scents since.
I really like Oolang, Bois Blond, Cedrat, Pomelo and a few others, but they definitely have some duds - Ambre Nue, Vanille Insensee. Their sampling program is awesome though.
Actually, I was quite surprised by this one, probably because the original Polo Red is terrible. This one is a big improvement, but still not bottle worthy for me. I do like it though!
It was discontinued long ago, and no, it is nothing like L'homme Ideal.
No more than any other batch of Aventus.
Mona di Orio for a spicy vanilla.
Eau Duelle for a straight up vanilla.
Vanille 44 if you're a big spender.
Yes. More citrusy, less rubbery, but very similar to my nose.
I'm guessing the decision has more to do with the cosmic looking bottle than the scent itself.
Not bothered by this at all. For me, Guerlain Homme is one of the worst fragrances Guerlain have ever produced.
It's the most feminine of the 3, and to my nose, doesn't smell very good. You would think Creed doing vanilla would be the talk of the town, but there's a reason this one never gets mentioned, it's...
How do you know, did you ask him?
Good call. Especially the second example. That reminds me of another...
If you like Hermes, you'd probably like The Different Company.
I got the email notification. Headed in for my reality check now.
I see a bit more overlap between Guerlain and PdN.
What you did there, I see it.
If you enjoy Creed, you may also like Atelier Cologne
If you enjoy Diptyque, you may also like Heeley
If you enjoy Guerlain, you may also like Roja Dove
If you enjoy Bond no 9, you may also...
Lol. Captain obvious strikes again!
Because most men aren't grossed out or intimidated by a picture of a male torso. Also, they probably enjoy it's aroma.
You just said in your previous post that we can never know from where Beautyspin source their bottles, now you're speculating on just that? How is it that Chanel can keep their fragrances from...
According to the email posted earlier in this thread, they buy them directly from the manufacturer.
So you will purchase other brands from fragrancenet, but not Creed? Why not Creed? What makes...
Well, I think he's exaggerating, but are you implying that it's fake? Funny, aniwolfe never questioned it's authenticity, but for some reason, you do? Have you not seen all the Amouage reformulation...
What do you mean?
Your gripe is with Amouage themselves, not Beautyspin.
Perhaps you should have tried it before you bought it.
Oh ya, definitely screams fake to me.
Could you post a link?
Burberry London.
I've always gotten it. Perhaps the best thing Chanel has ever done. Wearing it right now!
La Nuit de L'homme.
It may cost $40 on fragrancenet, but what does it cost at Sephora? Not everyone is aware of online discounters, the seller included.
MFK samples are 2ml.
50ml of Aventus please! :undecided:
But seriously, thanks for all you've done for the community over the past few years, and best of luck in the future. Don't be a stranger!
Yes, they're both niche.
CdG Black smells bold and strong?
Comme des Garcons.
Well, guess the cat is outta the bag. :undecided:
I expect they'll be out of stock of everything by the weekend.
I got the last 50ml. Sorry! :undecided:
L'eau Serge Lutens.
Could it be that you have a fake?
I haven't, but I seriously doubt anyone would go to the trouble of faking such an obscure fragrance. Guess I'll never know for sure!
I have an order on the way. Their prices on Amouage are in line with fragrancenet, but their prices on some other stuff are insane. I ordered a bottle of De Bachmakov for just over $50.
Who actually buys this crap?
I have owned both. To my nose, they're identical.
Regular caps, and from my experience, non magnetic.
That would depend on who's asking.
Love it. It's far better than anything Chanel has put out since.
I'm honestly surprised you prefer Aramis here.
Alfred Sung Hei. Actually, I don't even use it as room spray anymore. I can't stand it.
Chanel is available everywhere. Just go to a store and test them on your skin.
You knew it was real, and yet, the title of that thread is "is this real?" and you mention the word "fakes" in the very first line?
Lol, ok then. :undecided:
Even when you buy from reputable places, you still start "is my fragrance fake" threads.
Absolute crap. Beyond boring and generic, and I actually like the original.
You know that perfume bottles are never filled to the top, right?
I really doubt that 20% leaked out of the bottle, and yet, there is no evidence. If that much juice actually did leak, the box...
I have no problem with it.
Actually, sometimes the clone is the better fragrance, as is the case with Original Santal/Individuel.
And here it is...
Which year is yours from?
Doug did in the 2nd post.
Exactly. Some people want to publicly hang the guy based on a hunch. It's entirely possibly that he unknowingly sold the fake. He refunded the op, so everything is copacetic. People make mistakes.
I'm not sure those are actually flankers. Most of them are the exact same fragrance, just in a different bottle.
Cool thread FSU!
Drseid - Dia Man, Coeur de Vetiver Sacre, and Tzora.
The first two I own, and the last one will eventually be mine.
However, I will say, POAL was a big miss for me. :)
That's a nice outcome, but I hope that in the end, the eBay seller is held responsible.
Good luck bbjr, and kudos for making things right here.
No, but I have noticed that I often let out a single sneeze immediately after applying a fragrance.
I guess you have to actually understand the movie Inception to reply to this thread.
Bvlgari has Aqva, Aqva Marine, Aqva Toniq, and Aqva Marine Toniq. Plus Aqva Amara.
Juice is way too dark, and while Jude Law is one sexy beast, his mug has no business being on any Dior packaging.
I thought you were better than that mjones. Tsk tsk.
Sure, why not?
When confronted by a pushy SA, I usually just say "no thanks, just looking". That always seems to work, but if it doesn't, my backup plan is to grab the nearest bottle and mace them with it.
No luck necessary. You're going to get exactly what you paid for.
Good job. It's really nice stuff!
We all know there are fake Creed, and Tom Ford, and apparently there are fake Amouage as well. Other than that, I can't recall any mention of fake niche fragrances.
Opus VI and/or Beloved Man.
Honorable mention: Fate Woman.
Other: MDCI Chypre Palatin
Anything to report, hednic?
It was listed as a tester, but when it arrived, it was the full presentation. Box, cap, everything.
Yes, it appears they no longer sell on eBay. I only remember purchasing one bottle from them, a totally authentic Creed Erolfa.
I purchased a 2.5oz Royal Oud on eBay last year for $129 CAD (which works out to just over $100 USD). It's not fake.
There are plenty of legitimate sellers on eBay, and many of them have their...
I'll take that bet. Unless you meet up with your date within 20 minutes of applying D&G The One, she's not gonna smell a thing anyways, so it's unlikely you'll get a compliment.
I actually like 1861 more than Nio, but Kobe is my fav from Xerjoff.
1. My #1 for summer (L'artisan Batucada)
Masque Milano Russian Tea.
Largely unnecessary since all fragrances can garner compliments. In getting compliments, I've always thought that the strength/projection of a fragrance is much more important than the way it smells....
Sounds like a spoiled tester
I've no idea where you can sample it, but I'm quite sure you'd be repulsed. I was too when I first tried it, but now I crave it, and it has garnered a lot of compliments. It's a very addictive...
Would Dior Leather Oud fall under the "human female repellent" category? Because it's quite possibly my most complimented fragrance.
