    There have never been three digit batch codes for Fahrenheit. They used five digits and switched to four digits around 1998. If your bottle is from 1990 it should have five digits:

    Seems to be vintage, the box you are describing was in use up to the year 2000 (give or take a year). To tell the exact year you'll need the batch code from the bottom of the box.

    Because I know that the 2002 version came in the second box design (blue top, red bottom) and has black batch codes. I recently bought one from eBay, just in case you're wondering.

    If you take a closer look at the leaflet, there will be another hint of the production year. There is a date printed in there, something like 10/97 or 9/98 ... so the bottle itself can't be older...
