Joke Of The Day
Honey, I got hit by a car outside of the office. Tina brought me to hospital. They have been making tests and taking X-rays. The blow to my head though very strong, will...
Whatever scent you wear I'm sure if your Scottish you will be enjoying a bottle of the good stuff.
I have to add to the praise of 24 Gold in that it's a amazing scent which is also very affordable. I'm going to have to pick this one up myself at some point.
Scent can be very powerful in evoking memory associations. A few years ago I purchased Tom Fords Oud Wood and liked it very much. Then I read on here that it had a note that smelled like latex. Low...
Vintage Bel Ami & Millesime Imperial, if there is enough time I would then see if I can rescue my girlfriend. But as long as those fragrances are saved then I will be happy and can always pick up...
+1.... Seriously good.
I think I will get my chauffeur to drive my butler to Harrods to obtain a sample.
Interesting and it makes you think with the right marketing could solid perfume be more popular in the future.
I have to say the vintage Homage and Tribute attars are the most opulent and amazing fragrances I have ever tried. I remember been blown away the first time I smelled Homage, so beautiful. I'm almost...
It's great when you get a good bottle of MI as it is one fragrance that is notorious for inconsistency. I was lucky to get a good bottle from 2009 and it's one of my most worn fragrances.
I know exactly what you mean especially if he is a stranger and not a good friend. I would ask him if you really want to know in a way that he won't think is weird. Maybe say you overheard the ladies...
My girlfriend many years ago bought me Le Male which I did not like but had to pretend I did as it was a gift. So I tolerated wearing it for a few months here and there then accidentally on purpose I...
Floris Mahon Leather.
I like Memoir more than epic, the last good one from them in a good while imo.
Eau de Santal and Mahon Leather are the ones I like the best from Floris.
I would hold out for the vintage version though it may cost more as it's way better. The modern one has a good opening then falls apart on the way to the basenotes becoming bland and weak.
Colors By Benetton - Have many good memories of wearing this at college and on many exotic holidays.
A masculine fresh dark rose and incense accord that has a slight peppery sweetness from the pimento. Out of this you get hints of leather, tobacco, woods with a dash of oud. And I have to say imo it...
I buy them for the creativity and to experience something different from the norm.
Millesime Imperial closely followed by Fahrenheit.
I think it is good for all year round as it's minty fresh on the opening and drys down to a warm and musky scent. I have always liked this one.
I still don't know what to think of this one. It smells like your traditional fern like fragrance that has been sweetened up with lots of floral's. This gives the scent a soft sweet herbal character,...
Vintage Bel Ami.
There are many on the market and some are excellent. But only one has ever enchanted my nose to a blissful state and that one is Jil Sander Man Absolute.
I simply buy fragrances to wear and not for the sake of a collection.
The devil will now know how to torment you. lol
Thought of the day....lol.
Heaven is a English policeman, a French chef, a German engineer, a Italian lover, and everything organized by the Swiss, whereas Hell is an English chef, a French...
Not to my taste as I don't get on well with the osmanthus note.
It's a very herbal green and bitter fragrance from another time. It is a acquired taste as it is not easy to like from first sniff.
I have always liked this one for it's cedar and rose combo, a very safe reliable scent for most occasions.
I have not heard of this since the Seventies, I guess some people are just still in the dark ages.
Not a good idea to cover yourself with fragrance from those tester bottles when you are going to fly in a tightly confined space.
Very interesting and a great help to Fahrenheit fans. I'm glad I still have a back up bottle of one from the 2004 - 2012 period.
Citrus for me with Vetiver in the background.
For me fragrances are a luxury in this order:
1. Cuban Cigars
2. Fine Scotch/Bourbon
+1..... I'm looking at you Interlude Man.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune that sucks indeed. I would decant the rest into a good atomizer, one worthy of the expensive juice.
Miller Harris - La Fumee........ I really like this one.
It's good stuff indeed and has a woody presence within the mix making it more of a masculine amber.
Good idea and you get to try more scents for your money. Decants are a good way to test drive a fragrance to see if it suits you.
It has the best smoothest leather smell mixed in with raspberry and it works and smells great. Though I think it all depends if you can get on with the fruity raspberry smell.
I would get a custom made fragrance tailored to my specific specifications.
Mine is from a 2009 batch and it has great longevity and projection, when it's good its great.
The company is not far from where I live. So ordering from them and then having to wait weeks for them to be sent from the US is just too weird for me and I would rather order elsewhere. lol
I had a decant from 2009 and I got great longevity and projection. It must be reformulation or olfactory fatigue, my money's on the former.
I'm always interested in fragrances from Dsquared as they are pretty decent. The notes look very unusual and I cannot help wonder what the scent will smell like. Cheers for the heads up, will check...
Vintage Bel Ami.
Love Fahrenheit and if I ever sold it off for some mad reason I would feel the same and promptly re purchase.
Boss Bottled out of those.
I would go for Ambre Mediterranea, a very nice masculine amber with a strong woody presence.
From a sample:
That was one of the main reasons that really put me off their fragrance is that expiry date. In my collection I want my fragrances to sit for countless years without having to worry that like a...
Tom Fords Black Orchid.
Vintage Versace L ' Homme
Kobe is a amazing fragrance and it had that wow factor for me.
Only you can answer that question by taking the gamble.
I purchased it blind but found the projection to be really awful, on my skin it was basically a skin scent. The scent itself is very complex...
My experience with the notes have been very happy relaxing ones, they made me very hungry though.
