    FL for me. Both are yes grassy but I don't think they smell much alike. If you like French Lover you can try Mark Buxton Renegades which is the same concept with some rose added for extra radiance.

    Beautiful and complex with beast mode performance, although technically not floral albeit with lots of florals (especially pelargonium) is Nicolai's Patchouli Homme/Intense.

    I own the EDT and wear it occasionally. However the parfum version is the one that gives Vol de Nuit's orchestration its full bloom. The current version isn't as good as the one of yawn.

    I don't think it affects seriously. I smoke and have passed through periods without smoking and didn't notice any difference. Also many perfumers are smokers.

    Incense smells good, but as incense it is a mixture. Frankincense and myrrh are usually used to produce some common incenses so both but especially the former is a great solo smell.
