Swiss Army is pretty close.
I didn't know you met Sarah Jessica Parker!:2vrolijk_08:
Guerlain Homme took a beating but I loved it on first smell and is a regular in my summer rotation.
I was plenty insecure in my youth but my passion for fragrance has nothing to do with it.
It started with aftershaves. Boys didn't wear fragrance but men did.
As I tried different aftershaves...
The funny thing is, I was one of those who got the lady's purse on my very first sniff....
Vetiver Extraordinaire used to be my achilles heel. Now I'm fascinated by it.
I find that given enough time, I can "get" almost any perfume.
I'm saving Dior Homme Intense for Christmas.
Some of you may have heard of that one before.
Knize Ten. When she smells this, she may think you're not kidding.23195
My feelings exactly.
It's a bloody steal!
Great in the summer or winter.
Fresh and cool in the beginning, rich and smooth on drydown.
Weak sillage but decent longevity.
Works for young and older guys.
This looks like a problem with the re seller, not Creed.
If I were to purchase one of these I would need to smell it first, then I would expect to get it at a greatly reduced price like a tester.
In the past, I have seen Rive Gauche Pour Homme for $25 at Walmart. I have also purchased Rochas Lui from Fragrancenet for $30 for a large tester. These are both top-notch fragrances.
Chanel Allure Homme Sport
Only 1 backup 50ml Corliolan
It was only $19.95
My guess is Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men.
It came out around 1984.
Giorgio for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills is a Oriental Woody fragrance for men. Giorgio for Men was launched in 1984. Top notes...
I recently bought a 4 oz GIT from
One of the best purchases I ever made.
I wanted to try the new scent - Paco Rabanne One Million - so I sprayed my forearm a couple of times at the store before going to my friends' place.
Within 10 minutes I was washing my arm....
Summer = Guerlain Homme time for me.
Fall/Winter = M7, Dior Homme Intense, Gucci Pour Homme
Creed - I can get most at a good discount and find them easy to wear.
I like the quality of the Montales' I've sampled.
The CdGs' are always interesting.
Amouage Epic is amazing.
There are so...
I'm thinking that the soldier is in a perfume shoppe planning on bringing something home for the missus.
For some, this was their first trip to France.
For many, this was their last.
Please note unfortunately, we are currently not offering delivery service to Canada. We have temporarily suspended our shipping services so that we can enhance our Canadian shopping experience....
Got these both for the regular GIT price.
Gucci Pour Homme
Green Irish Tweed
Hey again BN'ers,
Your responses to my question about citrus based frags were very helpful. I'm wondering what your favorite wood-centric frags are.
... whatever you...
Joop! in one hand, 1 Million in the other. Even if it didn't stop the perp, it would make it easy to find him.
I'm going to guess that Don Draper (Mad Men) would wear Chanel Pour Monsieur.
Tony Soprano might have worn CK One, but that's what was popular when the show was filmed. And besides, he hung out...
By Killian Straight to Heaven has an excellent rum note along with a patchouli note.
Expensive, but very good - a must sample.
I got both in my last sample order and they are terrific (and expensive!)
I also got Sartorial and will buy it soon.
I heard this one smells like watermelon:
Chic for Men
BY CAROLINA HERRERA
Guerlain Homme is my goto fragrance for summer.
Now if only the damn weather would co-operate.
I think he means similar to Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir.
+1 Prada Amber PH
A few years ago my friend came up to me and said "smell" showing me the back of his hands. I smelled a faint fragrance but I had no idea what it was. It was Obsession for Men! This was one of my...
Don't go by the smells on a card, that never works very well. If you want to know what Mugler Cologne smells like, go to your local store and spray it on your wrist. Never rub your wrists together....
To me, it's all about the journey. I like trying new and old alike. Odd and off the wall as well as mainstream.
+1 Eau Sauvage
Only the Crazy by Diesel
Invasion Imagination by MDCI
Midnight in Pyongyang by Van Cleef & Arpel
Egomaniac by Chanel
Escape Fast! by Calvin Klein
Escape by Calvin Klein
I just want to pass along a good shopping experience. I purchased a bottle of Dior Homme Intense (it lives up to it's hype!!!) and good ole Canada Customs charged me for it.
That is an eye-opener.
I once seen a person holding up a basketball jersey that was for sale in a sporting goods store in a mall.
Retail Price: $135
Cost to manufacture: $0.35
I ordered some aftershaves from a good site last week.
I recieved my order today.
-Speick After Shave Lotion
-Clubman Pinaud After Shave Lotion...
What is the best or your favorite citrus based fragrance?
Some to consider.
Acqua di Parma Colonia
Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza
Annick Goutal Eau du Sud
Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien
Weylin Intense Extreme Noir Aqua Oud Sport
The whole question of fragrance, and art in general is subjective. None of this is based on science. We all have our own ideas and share them here. That's what this forum is for.
-Armani Eau Pour Homme
-Giorgio for Men
... and a few others.
The box and bottle says Millesime Imperial. Either way, it smells really good.
Loved original Giorgio Beverly Hills and wore it for about 20 years. Still smells great but I don't wear it very often.
Puzzled at first with vintage Dior Homme but have fallen in love with it.
That is a steal, congratulations!
Dior Eau Sauvage
Chanel Pour Monsieur
Stay away from heavy sweets and spices.
Acqua di Parma Colonia
Creed Green Irish Tweed
An old classic and a newer one.
Powdery smells like Burberry Brit, Lagerfeld Classic, Caron Pour Un Homme (Play-Doh) or Guerlain Habit Rougehttp://jeffbaij.com/blog/images/puke.gif.
Dior Homme Intense - on its way
Polo Ralph Lauren
NOTE: I have an original vintage...
Christian Dior Eau Sauvage
Hermès Eau d'Orange Verte
... let me add Puredistance M.
I rate them the same way except I never tried the Boise version.
The first time I tried Guerlain Homme was at the Toronto airport. I couldn't stop smelling it all the way to the Dominican...
L'Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu
Keith Urban's Phoenix smells unbelievably cheap. And that's worse than strange, odd, unusual or weird.
Knize Ten smells like an Army Surplus store. The Third Reich meets Canadian Tire.
When it first came out, I had to try it. So I went to my local store and sprayed some on, then I went to a friends house.
1 Million was there in person like a 400 pound gorilla. I...
Guerlain Homme reminds me of landing in the Caribbean and having a refreshing Mojito.
Most of the fragrances I have I'll never buy again.
I won't buy cheap stuff.
I won't buy reformulated junk.
I won't buy weird stuff.
I won't get ripped off for vintage stuff.
I won't buy stuff...
Every time I buy a SL frag I get a sample for another that I like and want to buy.
I bought Chergui - received Gris Clair sample
I bought Gris Clair - received Fille en Aiguilles sample
Guerlain Habit Rouge - armpits and baby powder
Frédéric Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire - musty vegetation
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male - plastic flowers in Lavender
Givenchy pour Homme
Sean John I Am King
Trumper Limes (expected)
and... my batch of Aventus
Not the worst by a long shot. Something that smells Eau De Olde Lady by Guerlain would be the worst.
I never had more compliments from young and older girls than from Polo. Most seem to enjoy this unabashed bold masculine sent.
Ladies young and older I know seem to like the young, fresh frags over...
Giorgio Beverly Hills Vintage (similar to Malle's Noir Epices)
Rive Gauche pour Homme (outstanding Fougere)
Rochas Pour Lui (great patch)
Polo Ralph Lauren (!!!)
YSL M7 (most...
Guerlain Homme has taken a beating here but I love it.
It really does smell like a mojito to me.
You have some nice frags there but even more important, you have some real caring family/friends - enjoy! :)

1. Jovan Musk Oil
2. Blue Stratos

Two sprays from New York last well into the night. It's the longest lasting citrus-based scent I have.
I find Comme des Garçons Zagorsk very zen.
I go way back to the Cologne Guy website. archived - (http://web.archive.org/web/19980109205924/http://cologneguy.com/)
I was originally Ailric at Basenotes but I couldn't get my username back when...
This thread is a hilarious read!
Powdery scents (Habit Rouge, Bvlgari Blv Notte, Lagerfeld) and sharp scents (L'eau D'Issey, Guerlain Vetiver, Eternity) get me woozy.
I think calone is the prime...
I've been hearing a lot about Invasion Barbare and it sounds like something I would like.
Patou Pour Homme
Chanel Pour Monsieur
Green Irish Tweed
Chanel Allure Homme Sport will get you compliments.
It is unlike L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme, Chrome or Cool Water.
It is not a basic citrus scent.
It is creamy-fresh, not sharp-fresh.
I'm wearing Pure Havane right now.
It has the same patch note as A*Men, but no tar or lavender.
I'm getting mild cigar tobacco, patchouli, mild vanilla and cacao.
PH is smooth.
Re: If you could give one piece of advice to a new fragrance collector, what would it be?
Run, don't walk away from Basenotes! This place will feed your addiction just like a crack dealer!...
Givenchy Pour Homme - non-existent
Sean John I am King - non-existent

You can choose up to 10 fragrances that you like.
Only 3 rules:
1. You cannot sell or trade anything.
2. They must...
Chanel Allure Homme - Sport
I like my MI and Himalaya well enough but I'll be very cautious if I decide to ever buy another Creed.
My Aventus purchase was more of an adventure than I bargained for.
Boring is an opinion. One mans boring could be another mans exciting. Some here base their opinions of boring on designer (Boss, Calvin, Armani) or low price and only consider premium niche as...
-Andron for Men
-Grass Oil for Men
-Ginseng for Men
Rive Gauche pour Homme now sells here for $25 at Walmart.
Previously I paid $70 and feel it was worth it.
One of the best masculine fragrances in the last 10 years.
-Swiss Army $25
Guerlain = Gair-lan
Monsieur = Mo-syer
I heard Vetiver pronounced = Vet-ee-vair
I don't know for sure.
I usually buy the smallest bottles available so as to ensure freshness and a large variety.
I rarely run out.
Got my parcel and all is well. Seems to be shipped out from the same place as FragranceX (Hauppauge, NY)
Canadians have another good place to shop!
