    Re: Aventus batch numbers

Kron, would you say the E01 batch leans on the smoky side compared to X02, Z01, or the 2012 A01 or C02?

Do the 2012 batches small largely the same, or are certain batches better than others?

    Re: Aventus batch numbers

What are people's experiences with batch A42B12A01 (or S42B12A01 or C42B12A01)? Does it seem as fruity as the Z01 or X02 batches? Are longevity and projection pretty good?

What fragrance to wear while voting? 2012 Election day fragrance

I'm about to head to my local voting polling station, and I'm wondering what scent is most appropriate for voting. What are your voting/election day fragrances?

Hmm, should I go with Bleu de...
  4. Re: Searching for a great spicy/peppery/woodsy fragrance. Any help?!

If you don't mind some citrus with it, I'd also recommend Terre d'Hermes and Montale Red Vetyver.

Re: Italian Cypress... How many sprays?

Can I ask how you received a free 50ml bottle?

By the way, I think Tom Fords is phasing out all 100ml bottles. It seems they're trying to sell just the 50ml and 250ml sizes going forward.
  6. Re: Fragrances that you will continually replace/never be without

Out of curiosity, are you referring to vintage C&S #88 or any formulation of C&S #88?

Akahina, any update on your impression of this batch? How is projection and longevity? Can you pick up any patchouli?

    Re: Odori Tobacco

Hmm, I'm smelling this for the first time, and on my skin it smells very close to vintage Chergui to me, not TV. The honey and tobacco are very similar - has anyone else noticed this?

    It...

    Re: Aventus batch numbers

I might be able to get a small flacon of batch C42b11z01 - is this one considered a good batch? Can anyone with experience with it chime in? Is it better to get a 2011 batch while I can before...

Re: Dior Homme or Givenchy Play Intense

Wow, please point me in the direction of where to find this magical bug spray.

Tropics, are you making a list of everyone here that prefers Dior Homme? It's going to be a long list...
  11. Re: Tom Ford Private Blend flacon bottle differences

Thanks Fitch. Very good to know.

The older style bottles with all brown stoppers also appear to use glass that is slightly more translucent. In the light, the bottles look a lighter shade of...
  12. Tom Ford Private Blend flacon bottle differences

Hi, I've purchased two different Tom Ford Private Blend flacons on ebay, and I've noticed some slight differences in the bottles.

If I take out the stopper from each, one is all brown glass, and...

Re: Sous le Vent - batch variation

Just tried Sous le Vent for the first time today. I'm impressed, it's quite a good fragrance. I'm trying to decide if I enjoy this more or the Vol de Nuit parfum I'm also testing.

    Any update on...
  14. Re: Tom Ford Neroli Portofino - Dark vs. Blue bottle?

    And post #5:...
  15. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino - Dark vs. Blue bottle?

I've read that Tom Ford slightly tweaked the formula when they changed the bottle from dark brown to blue. Has anyone tested out both versions of Neroli Portofino? How would you describe this...

Since you're in Sweden, I have to recommend a Swedish scent: Byredo Sunday Cologne/Fantastic Man. Bergamot, vetiver and woods.

I'm very interested to hear more thoughts on these new ones, especially Pear + Olive.

  19. Re: Which Madison Francis K. Would you guys recommend for the tropics?

Re: Not the most "Masculine" fragrance out there!

You have an odd, hate-filled obsession with the Dior Homme line. I bet at least 25% of your posts are anti-Dior Homme/DHI. Take it easy, Capt. Ahab, life is too short to be so negative.

Poll: Re: Favorite wood fragrances from this list

Lotta love for Gucci PH, and it's one of the cheapest on this list. Same goes for Yatagan.

I've tried most of the Malles but not Bois d'Orage. I'll have to test this one.
