Bvlgari PH, Terre d'Hermes, YSL l'Homme
This bears repeating for emphasis. On many occasions I no longer detect my fragrance, but others pick it up instantly and I'll be randomly hit with it every 15 minutes or so. The nose becomes inured...
I tried out a sample of Erolfa recently and, while I enjoyed the scent, I found both the sillage and longevity to be very poor. I can hardly smell the stuff on me at all, even while holding my wrist...
And remember everyone, Costco has the great lifetime return policy. Sample and return at will!
This is just a terrible list of frags.
What kind of application is everyone using for Envy? The sillage is so powerful for me that I only give it two sprays on my lower neck. It seems effective enough that way.
Excellent point Rex, that's what I'm thinking now.
Exactly. I'm trying to assemble a collection that is conservative, classy, and tasteful but still somewhat apart from what 99% of those my age wear. So I can't buy stuff like Issey Miyake, D&G, AdG,...
Reading through some of the responses in older threads, many suggest that others would think of them as completely identical. I'm just a bit concerned about others thinking I'm wearing Cool Water...
I own Creed's GIT and have never tried Davidoff Cool Water. Is it true that the latter is just a ripoff of the former and that the two smell almost identical? I enjoy wearing GIT and love the scent...
Thank you everyone for your advice! Here is what I've ended up deciding to try:
Czech & Speake No. 88
Patou Pour Homme
Creed Orig. Santal
Creed Acier Aluminum...
Christmas 1995, Burberry for Men. I liked the scent and thought their trenchcoats were cool so I wore it through high school and into college.
+1 on Bvlgari Pour Homme. we have similar tastes and age and I've found it to be a great scent for everyday wear. not so much an evening scent, though, but perfect for work.
I'd like some advice on a new cologne to try based on my tastes. I have samples of Kouros and Erolfa coming in the mail, but would like some input in the meantime. I was hoping for some...
I have a sample of Erolfa coming and am pretty excited about it as a potential summer frag.
I don't care for vetivers so I can't help you out with that, but I can tell you that their Bois du Portugal is a fantastic masculine scent. I'll be trying Erolfa soon in anticipation of the summer...
it smelled like a blend of black licorice and swamp ass on me, but perhaps it was just my skin chemistry.
I already have two Creeds, BdP and GIT. They're both great.
Maybe it's just my reaction to the musk component? This is the first time I've tried any of that genre of frags.
I got a sample of this stuff tonight and applied one small spray to my wrist while driving. I thought I might like it given all of the great reviews its gotten, but it literally caused me to gag...
I could be wrong but I don't see much resemblance between the two.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions!
As it turns out, I think I originally spoke out a bit too strongly about my disdain for any sweetness. I think that it was just the disgusting flavor of...
How is Bois du Portugal? Others have said good things about it.
I'm becoming addicted to this! Looking for some masculine frags that aren't sweet, but still somewhat refined and understated. I'm in my late 20's, but work (and play) in a professional environment....
I ended up returning the YSL L'Homme, so here are my final choices (I appreciate the suggestions thus far):
Chanel Pour Monsieur
Upper 20's, does that make any difference? Mania isn't as ubiquitous as Acqua di Gio, is it?
I've added two more options to the original 5:
Thanks Leifer. I just bought the YSL and have found it pathetically weak so far. I'd need around 20 sprays to even smell it on myself.
Yeah, that seems to fit since the Mania feels a bit summerey, but the YSL still seems a little boring.
Here's what I have on hand, please help me pick the best one for a winter/early spring night:
Polo Double Black
I've been wearing the...
