  1. Fragrances you had to buy bottles of after first sniff

Has anything triggered that type of reaction for you? Has happened for me several times.

    1) Aventus - went into the store knowing I wanted to buy a creed but aventus blew me away. My first niche...

  3. Re: Abercrombie & Fitch - Fierce . Reformulated ? or what ? help

Fierce was one of my first colognes about 10 years ago. I have followed it and owned a few bottles over the years so I feel I can talk about it with some knowledge.

It is definitely not the same...
  4. Re: Recommendation - frag similar to Fierce?

I'd like to throw in my agreement on Allure Homme. It's not a fierce clone like legend is but it has a similar vibe with some woods and citrus and it's much better IMO as well. Great scent
  5. Re: 5 By Kilian samples, my initial thoughts (blind testing)

Nice reviews man. Personally I LOVE straght to heaven. It's in my top 3. I'm also a fan of their taste of heaven and bamboo harmony. I've heard extremely good reviews of Rose Oud, so maybe check...
  6. Re: Recommendation - frag similar to Fierce?

Mont Blanc Legend and now Ed Hardy makes a copy called Skulls and Roses I believe

Legend doesn't have great longevity and neither does the reformulated version of fierce IMO
  7. Re: Fresco by Ilum Dean (impression and Review by noirdrakkar) - Worth the hype?

Ok, on your first point saying they are not "colognes" are you implying I should call them Eau de toilettes? Are we really calling people out for referring to men's fragrances as cologne?

    Looking...
  8. Re: Fresco by Ilum Dean (impression and Review by noirdrakkar) - Worth the hype?

This fresco vs Aventus talk is getting so old. There's no need to get all upset about it. If you want the cheap option get fresco but no cologne is THAT expensive. Decant of Aventus can go for $85...

  10. Success is a Job in NY (and some other Bond discussion)

I had tried a couple Bond fragrances (Bleeker St, Riverside Dr) but recently got the opportunity to go to Saks in San Francisco and try out everything. I'm not necessarily a huge fan of their...

    Re: Thoughts on Creed Himalaya?

I LOVE the opening when the burst of icy freshness hits. One of my favorite smells of any cologne. Unfortunately for me the drydown is pretty much soap. I had a sample a while back that wasn't...
  14. Re: Something occurred to me regarding my collection....

I experience this too, but it changes all the time so I know it's good to keep a collection. During the summer, I could not reach for anything but Aventus. Lately Tobacco Vanille and GPHII are all...
  15. Re: Worst cologne you've ever smelled???????????

    Gucci Guilty Intense!!!

    hands down

I don't see how cool water can possibly be the worst cologne you have smelled!
  16. Re: CREED Aventus sample DISAPPOINTMENT follow-up

Aventus is one of the few fragrances in my collection that projects and lasts all day long 12+ hours. I've heard some things about batch variation and that other batches might not last as long or...
