Everybody likes some of them, even if they'd prefer not to admit it.
Only smelled 4 so far, but...
1) Kouros (love it from top to finish)
2) Rive Gauche Pour Homme (I love smelling the atomizer for this
3) Body Kouros (it's not bad. but just doesn't wow me. I...
People tend to exaggerate. I seriously doubt most of them 'hate' cool water. There's really no legitimate reason to hate it.
It projects like no other fragrance I own when it's hot out. But I agree the smell is not spectacular. It's certainly a compliment-getter though.
Another thing about it is something in the top...
No. A company of any sort has to do something ethically objectionable for me to boycott them totally. There may be fragrance companies that do, but I don't know enough about the industry yet.
I've ordered from them 6 times or so. Never had a problem
Green Irish Tweed first and foremost
Thank you both
I have the selected option as "See Wardrobe", but I don't see Wardrobe Settings anywhere, or the option to change the icon. Please advise
I'm imagining small lead pellets
SOTD: Burberry The Beat (sample)
SOTE: YSL Kouros
I don't think you can go wrong with Green Irish Tweed, as mentioned. It was my first niche buy and I don't have any regrets. But personally I recommend you head to a Neiman-Marcus and sample all of...
tempted to smell it to see whether it could possibly be worse than the original
Body Kouros, for any age category
Another vote for Dreamer
Hi teardrop, thank you for the response!
She is not outdoorsy type at all really I can tell you that and certainly not grungy, always well groomed, dresses very nicely. I'd just call her style...
I'm going to treat her to some samples to find out what she likes. If possible please post also where the sample is available for sale? Also I'd appreciate your lists ordered from most important to...
A family member wants a gift idea for me, I'm torn between these two
Lemon Verbena <3
If the extreme version is anything like the EDT, LDDM by a country mile
YSL Body Kouros
Rive Gauche Pour Homme
Bvlgari Aqva is a good balance between good and safe for a "blind" recommendation
Did not like it at first but it grew on me and it's much more versatile than I originally gave it credit for.
Cranberry juice
Thank you sir!
Well wouldn't ya know it was the Black Aoud I had in mind when I wrote about my horizons being expanded. It's gorgeous!
I believe I would rate it higher than the two...
So I'm still a newb and I'm so excited to get to sniff these all!
Tauer L'Air du Desert Marocain
Amouage Jubilation XXV
Parfums MDCI Invasion Barbare
Montale Black Aoud
Green Irish Tweed, my go-to Tuesday scent
Try using an unscented body lotion regularly.
I blind bought it, and I would advise against it.
P.S. neutral milk hotel ftw!
The majority of them. I've found that small samples don't give me enough time with the fragrance to make a determination.
No SOTD today. Still trying to figure out what to wear this evening for my girl's birthday.
Not a huge fan of the fragrance, but I don't see why it wouldn't work year round.
As long as you're drinking something gentlemanly, makes sense. I would not be wearing RGPH during jello shots, that would just be uncivilized.
It's not a perfume, it's some random bath product that she uses that I don't even know the name of and don't know if I want to. My mind goes totally blank
If you're in the general vicinity of Philadelphia, and are interested in meet-ups and discussing local retail events: http://www.basenotes.net/group.php?groupid=85
As I transpose flogging molly tunes:
loving this idea
I will be in Queens from this evening til saturday morning. I was thinking about hitting up Bond 9 and Le Labo while I'm up there. Anyone have any other suggestions for fragrance spots in NYC?
Showed up today :D
First impression: great juice!
Millesime Imperial - been reaching for this one a lot recently
Indeed but I need to break out of my shell. I think i'm going to shower in it and go to sunday mass.
It looks like they stopped painting the Creed logo gold. Good thing, mine's chipping away like crazy
Also compare it to Love and Luck if you get the chance
GIT 4 oz
TV 3.4 oz
The SA tried to talk me out of it.
P.S. Only the Brave is the most nauseating smell I've come across to date.
Well, they didn't have it. Take that me!
Hmm do I remember hearing something about it being discontinued in the US?
I've never smelled Kouros before. I can't continue to browse basenotes without knowing what it's like. f*ing driving me crazy and I'm going to Macy's right now. Will update
I would bottle my natural scent, in order to amplify it and see how others responded to it.
Which product? I'll try it out :D
Just now had the same problem.
I don't know what my least favorite is, but vanilla is the most overrated.
I bought it blind and was not disappointed.
Edit: You can by a sample vial, so do that first.
Don't waste your money, go for GIT ;)
Didn't care for either one of them, but between the two I'd opt for The One. I don't think they smell similar.
In a similar vein, are there any fragrances that have a sort of bonfire/campfire vibe to them?
forced at gunpoint
it's a nice cool day for..
SMW projects like no other fragrance i own in heat and humidity. Wouldn't be my first pick during other times of the year. It's good for the exact reasons some folks dislike it, its metallic...
I like it because it smells good. I'm confused by the polarization to be honest.
this is the greatest first post i've ever seen
wow, that thread is STILL GOING
Tried it on myself once and didn't find that it suited me. I find it feminine, and wonderfully so.
