  1. Re: Halston Z-14 (old formulation) vs (new formulation)

I've been 'suffering' with a small bottle of new formulation for quite a while now, all 'cinnamonnied' up every morning I walk out the door. I tolerated it, yet always knowing in my mind how much...

Which is worse: heat or light?

Wondering if anyone can weigh in with technical thoughts on whether heat or light is more detrimental to fragrance? which would break it down faster in terms of quality and longevity?

    Cheers.
  3. Re: A bottle from Montale leaked in transit

Have you taken a digital pic of the item and box as it arrived? Just a thought which might help with your case should any part of your claim be challenged....couldn't hurt anyway. Speaking from...

Re: Finally, a Lutens I love!

Agreed. Recently sampled Gris Clair and my experience was that it was wonderfully unique 'from the vial'...but on my skin just became too sweet and syrupy. Borderline feminine as well. Considering...

Re: Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

Which Diptyque would you recommend in this category Roberto? I have a Tam Dao sample on the way, and that'll be my first experience with Diptyque frags...but I realize that's more of a sensual...

Re: Whats your fav Acqua di Parma ???

This should arrive for me today or tomorrow in sample form...very eager to try and hopeful it'll live up to it's accolades ;) plus remind me of summers gone by spent in Italia.
  7. Re: Perry Ellis Men (1985) was reformulated significantly !

Glad I came across this post, as I owned PE in the 80's, really enjoyed it originally, and was just recently considering to try it again (albeit a new bottle, since I'm not so interested as to seek...

    Re: Lucky Scent samples..

Black Aoud is wonderful...but HUGE. Just not something I could pull off as far as rose goes. I could even smell it on my arms after showering and scrubbing! Now that's some serious tenacity!

Many many sincere thanks to all who gave such wonderfully comprehensive, even educational replies and suggestions for a great citrus. I think the bottom line is...it's time to sample more before...

Re: Green Irish Tweed from Fragrancenet

I find it pretty ironic that one almost has to search now for older fragrance stock to get a better resulting quality...even when it may only be several years difference. Age is not really supposed...

Re: Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

I've only experienced verbena in room diffusers...and generally they seem like a very 'amplified' citrus, quite sweet in a way that you can almost taste, and which I like. That might explain your tea...

Re: Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

Aromaholic, I haven't tried AdP, doesn't it have longevity issues in general? Will do some research on Villoresi's AdC as well. Tks!

Re: Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

Aromaholic, that's a great suggestion! Thanks! Was very impressed with the quality of Nicolai recently when I sampled New York, so that's one to look at for sure. A tasteful, classically powerful...

Re: Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

Thanks. I should point out that I've sampled BB already, but not EdG. Haven't been impressed with most of the Pen's line, unfortunately....but this is starting to grow on me. However, @$100 per...

    Thoughts on Eau de Guerlain

I'm searching for a masculine citrus with good longevity, and was hoping to hear thoughts on the main differences (and similarities) between Eau de Guerlain vs Blenheim Bouquet....or if there are...
  18. Re: VO-Version Originale by Jean Marc Sinan???

I have several bottles of this stored away, not even sure where any more, which were purchased in 1984 shortly after launch. They came with very dramatic packaging and presentation, even by today's...
