    Do you mean incense sticks or cone? In my household, we stick the incense stick directly into a pot plant, but make sure the leaves don't come into contact with any part of the burning incense.

    From personal experiance, the decollage and crook of the elbow are the best places for spraying perfumes. The scent wafts up from the decollage, also a warm area, directly into your nose.

    I press/pat my wrists rather than rub them together. I don't believe you can crush the scent molecules but rubbing skin vigorously together is always going to produce heat and funny smells.
