  1. Re: anything similar to killian- back to black?

Agreed, but there's still some major differences.
  2. Re: What fragrance can you literally wear everyday and never get tired of?

Bois du Portugal for sure. Not too overbearing, and never gets old.

Re: strongest most potent male fragrance?

    Black Afgano or Sombre Negra

    Re: Today I Regret Buying......

Ralph Lauren Pony #2. I think I've worn it three or four times in the time that I owned it. I've since moved onto better things.
  5. Re: Fragrance houses and the jewel in their crowns

    Burberry - Burberry London
Creed - Green Irish Tweed (I don't like it, and my favorite is Bois du Portugal, but you can't really deny it).
    Nasomatto - Black Afgano
    Knize - Knize Ten
    Parfum MDCI -...
  6. Re: Baffled by how Creed Aventus is such a compliment getter...

I only own one sample of Aventus, but I felt the same way as you--I don't see the hype. I've found that with a lot of Creeds, I love some, but the really hyped ones, GIT and Aventus, I just don't get...
  7. Re: So.. what fragrance would Bond... James Bond wear?

I definitely think Sean Connery is Bois du Portugal, but I think Daniel Craig maybe, too. Great masculine scent, definitely suitable for a more rugged James Bond. Maybe Invasion Barbare would work...
  8. Re: What's the best way to wear samples from a dab vial?

I'd buy a bunch of atomizers in bulk. I started out dabbing, dropping, all that stuff, and really in the end, nothing compares to spraying.

Re: Name an unnecessarily OVERRATED frag you know or own!!!

Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, Tuscan Leather, Knize Ten, and Black Afgano. I probably have hundreds of people now that want to kill me.
  11. L'air du Desert Marocain and Bois du Portugal

Is it just me, or does anyone else think these smell kind of similar? I prefer Andy Tauer's fragrance, but I'm wearing BDP today and I can't help but think if you throw in a small amount of sugar...

Re: Slow shipping with The Perfumed Court

I've had pretty good communications with TPC recently when I sent them an inquiry by email. Shipping always takes a little while, though. Can you give them a call?

Re: What is the best TOM FORD fragrance?

I've tried Noir de Noir, Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather, Amber Absolute, and Oud Wood, all quite a bit, and by far my favorite is Oud Wood. I'd imagine this goes against what most folks think--I...
  14. Re: What's currently your personal favorite male perfume and why ?

Parfum MDCI's Invasion Barbare--just solid all around.
  15. Re: what is a fragrance you will never touch again in your lifetime? Kryptonite fragrance to you

Knize Ten and Black Afgano. While Black Afgano certainly smells unique, I would rather not smell like Play-doh. My review on Knize Ten sufficiently describes my feelings for the fragrance.
  16. Re: The most unique smelling frag in your collection?

You seem to be the only person who makes this comparison. I've never smelled Patchouli 24, but I hesitate to call Sombre Negra watered-down.
  17. Re: The most unique smelling frag in your collection?

This is in my sample collection, but probably Black Afgano or Yosh's Sombre Negra.

    Re: What's Your Favorite Oud?

So far I've tried Black Oud, Oud Wood, Leather Oud, and Noir de Noir; how does Mona di Orio's Oud compare to those? My favorite, is by far, Oud Wood, are there other niche Ouds similar to that, that...

Does Creed have its own in-house parfumiers, or do they actually seek out folks like in the poll and just not disclose it?

    Re: any honey fragrance

I just tried my sample of Back to Black by Kilian. Incredible scent. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a good honey fragrance. I might even like it better than Chergui.
  29. Re: Two versions of L'air du Desert Marocain?

I've heard of some older colognes losing the top note over long periods of time. It's never happened to me, but it'd explain your situation.

Re: New Fragrance: Calvin Klein - Encounter

Isn't Tom Ford's Oud Wood a synthetic version of Tom Ford's Oud Wood? I love it, but I don't think it uses natural Agarwood.
