    That’s probably a good setting for it. From what I smelled in the store when Sauvage was being promoted, it creates a really nice lingering ambiance wafting on the air in an enclosed space.

    That's quite a few Lutens, tdem1961. A couple of blogs claimed that Serge Lutens believes in applying perfume by hand. Maybe the ones that perform well by dabbing were designed for it on purpose.
