Ha, I wish my hubby is interested in fragrances.

A few months ago after I tried Hypnotic Poison at the mall, he insisted to leave the car window open all the way home in the middle of winter......

    Re: Essential Oils

It's really not good idea to apply undiluted essential oils directly onto your skin. Better put them on perfume testing strips.
Some of the essential oils are quite pricey, especially absolutes, so...

I've never tried Kouros... :( But I'd love to try it sometime. I like leather, honey & civet as well as artemisia.
Have you ever tried any other masculine scents?

  10. Re: Attention Coneheads: The fragrance of pine forests actually moderates climate.

That's an interesting article. I suppose I should happily put up with my pollen allergy to coniferous trees :D

    Re: Do you mix scents?

I have and still do sometimes. As Puma mentioned, finding the right ratio is the tricky bit but I enjoy it.
  16. Re: The beloved bee bottle: 160th anniversary

I don't much like splash bottles either.... but I still love to have the bottle. Such a gorgeous looking one!
  17. Re: Do you take the color of the packaging or juice into account when trying a new perfume?

Hmmm, I don't think I would buy a fragrance because of the colour of the juice.... but at the same time, if one of my favourite scents had a ridiculous colour, say neon yellow or bright red, I might...

    Re: Fragrance stands in malls?

They remind me of those night market stalls selling fake knockoff perfumes in Bangkok... Nice to look but not to buy.

    Re: Favorite Bottle Design

Guerlain's bee bottles... they are lovely. I love Shalimar's bottle, it's so elegant. Then I like Gaultier's body shapes ones as well...

  25. Something is missing... Any suggestions?

After a long break (almost 15 years!), I'm back in perfume making.

I wanted some spring like scents, so I started mixing violet main one. So far it smells close to the way I wanted it to be but...
  26. Re: Perfume compliments from strangers - not really a UK thing?

Re: Samples - Keep or Not?

I usually keep ones for reference. Having said that, I give away the ones I'm so sure I'm not (and won't be) interested in.
