    Avoid eBay, there are tons of fake BR540 Extrait and EDP on it. Best is to order directly from MFK in Paris. Even better, forget BR540 and buy Thomas Kosmala Aprčs l’Amour instead.

    I don't find any difference between the overall smell of the two, only in the way they perform. The extrait projects better and develops slower, as expected.

    Try Rasasi's oud Boruzz range, the have a gold label and cap. Try Abdul Samad Qurayshi's Safari range. Arabian Oud, try Rosewood, Kalemat Black. Ask the SA's for testers and recommendations.

    Yes, projection and longevity are not the best. The Parfum Extrait version is much better but not worth the extortionate price tag IMO.
