Thanks for your post [emoji106]
I'm not talking about canned goo as in canned shaving foam, gel and the likes.
I'm talking about shaving soaps and shaving creams.
I only shave with TOP quality stuff, that have few &...
I own both DH, DHI, DHS, DHC, DHP and DH Eau.
In my opinion, DH Eau is a freshed up version of DH, sort of like the scent Dior Sauvage really should have been in my opinion.
DH Eau is not a...
I'm an avid wetshaver with more than 200+ shaving soaps and cre<ms in my den.
I love scents as a perfumista, but sometimes I wonder if people in the business and just in general can understand why...
2 sprays Dior Granville today.
Normally wear just 1 spray, and people will compliment me all day long.
2 sprays, and they are on the verge of fainting.
Come on guys, take your single figure...
Anything less than 6-7 sprays, and it dopes not qualify as overspraying.
Even the strongest fragrances like Douro and Montale Dark Aoud does not count unless you spray 6-7 sprays.
Ehhhhh.......to smell good and to project - but you would not know it since you're not a member of the lounge
4 sprays, and then 4 sprays of Bleu de Chanel WTF - you should post this in the Undersprayers lounge.
I have never worn Bleu de Chanel and sprayed less than 8-10 sprays of it.
14 sprays of 2012 batch Amouage Reflection Man
I love Kouros, but this is becasue I have worn it since I was a teen and have good memories of it.
It's not my favourite fragrance, but I wear it quite often in a blend with other fragrances - for...
I keep 5-6 of my frags in the bathrrom, for use after the shower/after toilet visit.
Gendarme (Looking for the 300 ml refill for a good price BTW)
Alvarez Gomez EDC
Had one in 100 ml, sold it years ago.
Boring, average mens fragrance IMHO
Looking to get the 300 ml refill gendarme, where is the best price online ?
Let me hear what you prefer ?!?
My top 3 are all very affordable
Acca Kappa White Moss bath gel
Alvarez Gomez bath gel
Crabtree & Evelynn Sandalwood bath gel
Will buy this blind for $35 for 100ml sometime summer/fall next year [emoji6]
They make excellent shaving cream/croap. The lime and lavender will both always be a part of my shaving den.
Have yet to sniff their fragrances....
You really must love it, repeating it 3 times to stress your love for it [emoji38][emoji38]
Just kidding of course [emoji4]
Fantastic fragrance. Niche quality.
My AD. I try hard to stop buying, but can't. I'm at over 550 bottles now. 500 unique ones.
I tell myself to only buy 10-12 niche high quality frags a year, but still can't stop buying the run of...
NO (trying to add to my postcount here)
You're on base notes.
I have an addiction.
Fragrances turning bad after 2-3 years is hype and hearsay IMHO.
I store them dark and cool. Not one has remotely turned. All smell great.
Aramis Tuscany share similar notes.
YSL Rive Gauche also has some anise and barbershop notes.
But you really don't need to look any further.
Just buy the Azzaro PH, it's great stuff, even the...
Penhaligon Blenheims Bouquet
Bleu de Chanel
Acqua di Parma Colonia
Creed Millesime Imperial
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Prada Infusion D'Homme
Terre D'Hermes Eau...
I rotate between my 500+ frags, but......
1. Dior Homme Intense & Dior Homme
2. Creed GIT
3. Bleu de Chanel EDT
Montale Black Aoud
Montale Dark Aoud
Own all in full bottles (75 ml or larger) except 3:
Curve for men (bland frag)
Fuel for Life (dislike it)
Gucci Envy (would love to own it, but very hard to find)
Perfect amount is 3778 full bottles not counting samples.
It's just you, they are not similar at all.
CH men smell more like Creed VIW and Frapin 1270 than YSL L'Homme - and they don't smell alike at all
Must try this......love the original Kouros,
In Denmark it's below 20% among men, that use it on a daily basis.
It's a nice night out designer frag, but the Parfum version is more creamy and better IMHO.
Looking forward to the intense version.......
Let's face it, even though women use perfume far more...
Both are great.
DHI winter & fall
TDH Spring & summer
Dior - Sauvage
Creed - Royal Mayfaire
YSL - La Nuit de L'Homme L'Intense
Not to sound like an echooooo
Frapin 1270 share a lot with The One IMHO
Jaipur Homme EDP & MIP EDP
Hednic just buy the entire Penhali line and get done with it. They make fine frags IMHO.
Class in a bottle.
You inspired me.
I own 125 ml bottle of Polo MR, but have not used it since 2013 to be honest.
The weather is warming up here, but I will rock it today. I prefer it much over the original.
I recently received a call from a guy, that owns a shop, which sells traditional shaving gear and also have ventured into the world of fragrances through wet shaving brands.
I'm even more...
From my collection, I can wholehearted recommend these:
Dior Homme Sport 2008 version
Gucci Pour Homme II
Serge Lutens 5 o clock gingembre
What happened to Manlovescologne ?
all his YouTube vids are gone and his channel closed ?
I get 5-7 hours long and 2-3 hours proj
I own and anjoy all the 4 fragrances I mention.
Egoiste is a masterpiece, Eau Sauvage Parfum great, Eau Sauvage a classic Gentleman scent (not suited for many guys under 30) and Platinum Egoiste is...
24 Gold Platinum has a nice synthetic oud note in it.......really a great fragrance for the price
Dior Eau Sauvage and Dior Eau Suavage Parfum are as similar as Chanel Platium Egoiste and Chanel Egoiste are.
As a basenoter you should know very well that even if you have just had your fragrance stored for 1 hour in your bathroom while taking a damp shower, the fragrance will 110% be destroyed.
I don't quite get your comment ?
What is best to one person might be crap to another person.
I prefer the smokey batches of Aventus, whereas some prefer the pineapple batches of Aventus.
You should know that all fragrances will vary in longevity and projection from person to person.
Just because one person gets 4-5 hours does not mean you would not get 6-8 hours.
I get 6-8 hours...
To me almost opposite fragrances, hard to find two fragrances less similar to be honest.
It's just your nose.
It's blind buy worthy. Does not remind me much of the original.
In fact it's a masterpiece IMHO
Fahrenheit Original 10/10
Fahrenheit Absolute 9.5/10
We have hot summer for like 4 weeks a year, if we're lucky, so I can almost wear what I want, year round.
But I also prefer lighter citrus based frags from June to September. After that I only...
Never had issues with Fragrancex. Have bought more than 100 bottles from them since 2011.
Only one issue. My GF got a 100 ml Ralph Lauren Romance EDP where serial number on box didn't match serial...
Boss Bottled....,.old mans perfume ?!?
How old are you ?
Are you aware of that the new generation of older men have far more experienced and evolved noses that young and inexperienced rookie...
Which version are you talking about here ?
I own both and the 2008 DHS has that strong pungent ginger note. The new DHS has a more discrete ginger note, but has added the iris from regular DH to...
French WTF ?!?
He's German, but you are very close, close like in Mexico and US being the same country :lolk:
Great, you will find that most of the experienced members here really enjoy mixing and layering fragrances
In Denmark where I live, 1/20 men wear fragrances daily, and out of them 1/10000 is likely to wear TDH, so NO, NOT REALLY
Both are great. Get both :lolk:
Impossible question to answer, mate.
All very different frags........best thing is to test them and decide.
What's your favorite color ?
Red ? Blue ? Black ? Yellow ?
SOTE: Jovoy Paris Les Jeux sont faits mixed with Amouage Epic Man
SOTD: Williams Ice Blue mixed with Brut Original
Creed takes the cake as having the worst overall bottles, especially when you look at their price.
I own 14 Creed 120 ml bottles, and the 8 of them have loose caps, my Aventus sticker is loose. Only...
Good stuff, on the mature side.
Quality juice, spicy and tobaccy.
If you have no budget, why then use a signature scent at all ?
Your nose will be fatiqued from using the same scent over and over.
Get 5-7 fragrances and rotate between them instead of having a...
I just overused/emptied my 100 ml bottle of this juice last weekend (had 8-10 ml left)
Nothing special IMHO - but a nice smelling older gent scent, very close to Himalaya, as you mention....
I've now read several posts indicating the Platinum has been reformulated- not just new bottle design.
Is this true ?
Also did anything happen with original Egoiste juice reformulation wise ?...
I actually get the cucumber and gasoline note from it.
But I love the smell of gasoline.
I have been wearing it on and off since it came out.
But what I mostly get from it now is the great...
ADG is still a masterpiece in my eyes.
No matter how many wear it, the quality of thie fragrance, even for people that are not into aquatics, surely should be able to appreciate or at least...
Very few if any wear fragrances where I work and spend my time......
My GF and father has quite a few frags, but that is mostly inspired by me.
Two of my friends do own 5-6 bottles, and wear...
What are the improvements ?
Has Egoiste also gone thourhg a reformulation ?
FYI I love the old Egoiste I bought in 2012, and like the Platinum Egoiste I bought the same year.
What are the differences between the new and old version of PE ?
Great stuff. A classic
For wearability Creed is my choice. But I'm also a Bond No.9 fan.
I can appreciate the art of the Malle frags, and while I do own Geranium PM, Vetiver Extraordinaire and Bigarade Conc from them, I...
I'm selling this trio bundled together to cut $45 shipping costs.
Creed Orange Spice, original with white under the cap, 75 ml, 2-3 ml used
Bond No.9 Hot Always, 100 ml, 2-3 ml used
Wear what you like. Go easy on the trigger.
Don't mind the people that exaggerate how a guy wearing frags to the gym is acting rude and out of place.
Just don't overspray at the gym.
Montale Red Vetyver. Trust me. It's even better than the old TdH & TdH Parfum. I own all 3. All are great, but Red Vetyver takes the cake
My current Top 5 Designers:
1. Armani Acqua di Gio Essenza
2. Chanel Egoite
3. Dior Fahrenheit
4. Dior Homme Intense
5. D&G Pour Homme
Tom Ford Extreme
if you're afraid it's too loud with one spray, spray 1 meter from you and walk into the cloud.
I usually just apply 10-12 sprays and am just fine, receive many compliments when I wear it.
Having fragrances in your car is a bad idea. Unless you want them to turn bad faster
Habit Rouge EDT gave a headache and made me gag a little. Very dated, dusty, sickly smelling vanilla-citrus combo. And I like vanilla and citrus. Just not done this way.
12 sprays of Dior Leather Oud
Kitchen spices for me is rather my Serge Lutens Arabie, not LDDM nor AS
Agreed on all points
I enjoy it, and when I use it, I always mix/blend it with Bucheron Jaipur edp/edt. Just works perfect on me, this particular blend.
But with 400+ frags in my collection, I haven't used it for 6-8...
Both are nice scents, but hated by the Bond haters of course. Bleeker Street is the best though.
Versace Oud Noir Pour HOMME
Hermés Bel Ami Vetiver
YSL Body Kouros
Bond no. 9 Silver (Factory)
Bogart Ph is a great cheapie, but smells less well blended than Pure Havane does and I get the cherry tobacco vibe in the Bogart is more direct and synthetic smelling IMHO.
I get 8-10 hours...
King Kouros is a great option.
You're not helping the man by suggesting a nearly impossible to find discontinued fragrance ;-)
So a power lifter going for a record lift of 500 pounds smell feminine because he his hands will ooze from talcum and baby powder ?
Great Way of expressing it
It's certainly very nice. I own the 120 ml bottle, think there still is 110 ml left in it......I'd rate it 8.5/10
If you think this is sexism, you're firstly totally on the wrong track, secondly you're out of luck because you will never ever find a man that can comprehend you and thirdly...
In that order......
Sorry can't afford Richwood, so have yet to test it......
