    Re: Worst. Smell. EVER.

Ha-ha! That was my first and the last ever blind buy.
I'd still give it two stars though. I'm thinking of using it as an air-freshener in the bathroom....

    Re: Worst. Smell. EVER.

Hard to pick really the worst. I've got several, in no particular order:

Axe Marine (offensively synthetic and nauseating)
Kouros (smells like vomit and sweaty feet)
    Neil Morris Gala ...

Re: What makes a fragrance 'barbershop'?

I second the question. I'd like to know this too.

At the moment I'm thinking of barbershop as of something light, creamy, slightly fruity, perhaps with some lavender in the mix.

    Re: CB I Hate pefumes

Having tested most of CB water perfumes, I'd say their descriptions on his website is spot on almost every time.
The only scent which didn't quite live up to my expectations was Mr Hulot's Holidays....

So, this formula change - is it really true?

Just tried a sample of RdV (from lessenteurs), and I actually did like it, although it was not exactly what I expected after reading all the reviews....

Not sure about "band-aid", but I think Annick Goutal Eau de Fier smells a lot like bandages, very sharp medicinal + smoky/rubbery.

I have got a rash from the Memory of Kindness (tomato leaves, water version).
No problems with the other CB samples. I've now tried about twenty of them (mostly water and a few absolutes).

what is 'a dab' compared to 'a spray' ?

    Hi

So, from what I read 1 ml is good for about 6-10 average sprays. What about an "average dab"?

I usually make 2 sprays on a wrist to test a cologne.
Thing is, I have got some samples of...

    Re: sillage = top notes?

    Yes, ok, it makes sense.

I guess my problem then is that, when it's time for the heavier notes to kick in, they stay so close to the skin that I don't smell any sillage from them at all.

    sillage = top notes?
