Premier Figuier - Heeley
I had an urge to wear this one today.
Santal Majuscule - SL
I voted for TV, and would then go for PH and finally London.
Santalum by Profumum Roma. Not my cup of tea, but worth a sample.
SOTE: Copper Skies
Apom - mfk
This happened to me recently. It said delivered, but it wasn't until the following day until it was actually delivered.
Eau Noire by Dior
Ambre Nuit Christian Dior
Meh, it's worth a sniff at least.
Golden Boy - Dueto Parfums
I also find them incredibly weak. Most of the scents are pretty inoffensive and pleasant, which is a plus. However, I'm not terribly into layering fragrances, which I know Jo Malone fragrances were...
Granville by Dior
Haram by Brecourt
Shoot! Thank you for catching that!
Seeing how I am much younger than most of you, I can't exactly give an expressive timeline. However,
Early teens: Stetson and Stetson Sierra
Twenties: Chergui and Santal de Mysore
You know how they say in the world of wine (or any personal hobby to do with taste, really), your tastes will change with time... and after a few years you'll revisit what you used to like and think,...
I see most of my favorites have been mentioned so far.
One I haven't tried so far, but would love to, is Tobacco 1812 by Old West. Very cheap price too!
Haven't tried much of CdG lately, but the last one I truly enjoyed was Wonderwood (but would like to try WonderOud).
The latest one I've smelled was Amazingreen, which was very underwhelming.
SOTD: Carnal Flower - FM
SOTE: Bal d'Afrique - Byredo
Santal 33. I bought it a few years ago as a gift for my then girlfriend, but when we broke up I sold it to get rid of it (surely, it didn't help it had her name on it!). Now I'm itching to get a...
I've sampled this from a couple vials, and have found I personally think this is one of the better A*Men flankers, which I realize I'm in the minority on. Haven't examined the bottle, so I can't...
I like Prada Infusion d'Homme, which is a simple scent, but gets quite the wearing.
Of the few bottles I own, I own Eau Sauvage Parfum. That's my preference, followed by the normal Eau Sauvage (never smelled the original) and Eau Sauvage Extreme.
Most of BN will overwhelmingly say Polo Green (original) or Modern Reserve. Agree that these are great!
SOTD: Vanille Insensee - Atelier Cologne
SOTE: Myrrhe Impériale Giorgio Armani
I find the cedar in this surreal compared to most fragrances.
I accumulated way too many fragrances, hitting above 200 - which isn't absurd for Basenotes but others looked at me like a psychopath, and I ultimately downsized to under 20 bottles. Starting to...
Santal de Mysore, albeit, a very polarizing scent.
I have yet to try the entire line, but my personal favorite so far is Myrrhe Impériale.
I agree with the many that have said they love them all so far!
Caravelle Epicee SOTE
Figuier - Heeley SOTD
SOTD: Spice and Wood - Creed
SOTE: Pure Wood - TM
Amber Mystique - Estee Lauder
Burning Leaves on left arm.
A Men TOF on right.
Patchouli Leaves - Montale
I love cedar, sandalwood, and guaiaic. Oud isn't listed, but that's right up there as well.
Musc Ravageur on the left arm, Portrait of a Lady on my right.
Have tested all 3, but own a bottle of only Chergui.
With that being said, I like all of these but my vote still goes to Chergui.
Cedre Blanc - Creed
SOTM: Smoke for the Soul - by Killian
SOTE: L'eau d'Ambre Extreme - L'Artisan
Whew! I'm sorry to hear about your transaction!
I've been somewhat active recently in the Marketplace, and while most sellers have recommended I pay using the F&F option, I always throw in a few...
SOTM: Like This - ELDO
SOTE: Gaiac 10 - Le Labo
Dark Aoud - Montale (from a sample)
GPHII by far, for me.
Un Bois Sepia - Serge Lutens
This was one of the first Creed's that attracted me to the line when I was first getting into niche fragrances.
In hindsight, still a fragrance I would consider FBW. However, if vetiver was what...
Geranium Pour Monsieur - Frederic Malle
Physically? 21 (22 in a week).
Mentally? Heh, we shall not talk about that.
Went and bought Pure Leather. I know, I know, I'm a little late to the party. It was only $40 from FragranceNet, so I figured why not.... first legitimate bottle purchase in maybe 2 years.
Aliexpress I have found to have a few fragrances, but, of course, you can probably find what they have there on the "For Sale" forum here for the same price... and it's actually real.
Full Incense - Montale
Santal 33 - Le Labo
Russian Tea by Masque Milano from a sample.
Expectations exceeded with this one!
From a sample.
Dzongkha - L'Artisan from a sample
Mona di Orio - Vanille
...from a sample.
Myrrhe Impériale Giorgio Armani from a sample. After half a day wearing it, this is fantastic.
Sample of Liaisons Dangereuses - by Killian
I'd do it for $500 any day of the week! Give me $100 and it's a deal.
There are some good ones listed here.
Mine is a bit boring. High Line by Bond No. 9
I'm at the point where I'm more interested in testing my samples out than wearing what I have. With that being said, I don't put anything on before bed so I don't miss the transformation of the...
If it were me, the EDT is fine. The EDP would be overkill and quite a bit overbearing.
Honestly kind of like this one. Saw it at Marshall's for the 2nd time, and finally decided to buy it.
A bit spicy, chemically, generic, but lovely.
Thought it was great when it came out, and I still think the same. Seeing as it is at Marshall's and TJ Maxx, this is one fragrance I wouldn't mind buying a backup bottle given the great prices. ...
Voleur de Roses
Dior Homme in the morning
I would much prefer Rochas.
L'Occitane - Eau de Baux
Agree with Le Male.
Invastion Barbare sample on left hand,
Passion Boise sample on the right hand,
Odori Tabacco on the left forearm,
and L'air du Desert Marocain on the right forearm.
Still excited to try these out, but not getting my hopes up.
OK. The overall message here is that there is no oud nor immortelle. I recently contacted Byredo and requested a few samples. Is this one even worth sampling given the strong reactions regarding...
Got my sample of CB I Hate Perfume Gathering Apples today and I must say this is apple to a T. Can't comment on the longevity yet, but the smell is spot on.
If I am really craving that synthetic touch, I would either go with one of these two or Nautica Voyage. Something about how 'chemically' they come across to my nose makes these unwearable - of the...
From your list, I would chose Boss Bottled.
Own Wonderwood, but would thoroughly love to own Chene.
Versatility goes to Wonderwood, and by a hair too (as of right now), so my overall vote goes to Wonderwood as well.
Seems to be a few strong sided opinions regarding these two. I have to side with Spicebomb, by far. Not a terribly big fan of La Nuit at all, and ended up selling my bottle a while back. Spicebomb...
Like Rocky Mountain Wood, Love Sycomore.
Wow. Strange matchup - think I'd have to lean with Coromandel but I adore DH.
