    Re: Which vetiver? Or both?

I have smelled TdH edt & edp. I own Black Touch and just tried a sample of ENS.
My nose tells me Black Touch is very close to TdH, but a little harsher. Which is to be expected given the price...

Re: Ebay now charging sales tax

I've been charged sales tax on ebay purchases since last Oct.
After Jan. the tax portion has been a separate ebay charge on my paypal account.
    Just the way it goes.
  4. Re: Anyone here ever wash shoes in the washing machine?

What are the shoes worth to you, is the question. If they are worth the cost, I'd buy some silica gel beads. Seal the shoes in a large zip-lock bag with the silica gel beads and wait for the beads...

Re: Has anyone ordered bottles from Alibaba?

What size bottles have you used? Are the atomizers better than the standard plastic "fine mist" sprayers?
It seems hard to find that delicate balance... size/cost/quality.
  6. Re: I've stop using regular razors to double edge razors and never looked back again

I prefer an alum block vs a styptic pencil/stick. I always pat dry my alum block and let it sit to dry completely before storing it away.
The Gentleman Jon block has been a good one for me.
  7. Re: I've stop using regular razors to double edge razors and never looked back again

I use double edge razors if I've got the time and in the mood. My favorites are Yaqi adjustable, Gillette Fatboy, Redtip and Old type. I use Feather blades most of the time. I've got brushes but...

  9. Re: Can adding Iso-e-Super/Timberslik/Amborax to a perfume can make the perfume stronger?

I've not found Iso-E Super to cause any notes to be punched up, except for the soft cedar of the Iso-E itself.
It is fun to decant a little perfume and play around with how different chemicals &...

    "essence"

The Perfumer's Apprentice offers a fragrance/flavor analysis service.
I imagine clone houses would have their own lab equipment, if they are of any size. But I don't know, they may...

For delivery to a US address, the only extras should be the individual state's sales tax.

    * perfume composition matured then ethanol added vs * perfume composition + ethanol matured
Does waiting to add ethanol change the development of the end fragrance?

    Re: Anyone use Z oils?

Although I like the dryness of Virginia Cedar, Himalayan Cedar has my nose engaged lately.
Right out of the bottle it has a medicinal quality to it. As it dries down, more of a menthol scent comes...

    Re: Perfumers alcohol

How does 200 proof food-grade ethanol factor into the picture?
I've used 95% non-denatured ethanol, but gave up on it because of a slight grainy-type after smell.

    Re: Strength and longevity questions

I would use perfumer's alcohol over any everclear type product.
    My nose detects a dirty/grainy after-smell when I've used 95% grain alcohol.
