    Re: Sample Pass: Rogue Perfumery

I'd be tempted to suggest both. Mousse Illuminee is extraordinary as a standalone scent, this is extraordinary as an homage to Chypre's of yesteryear (Mitsouko EdT springs to mind).
  8. Re: If you could choose 1 or 2 notes to pair with REAL AMBERGRIS what would they be?

Given my experiences with ambergris, I'd perhaps tend towards Mysore Sandalwood and/or Rose.
If I was thinking with less experience, however, perhaps lemon verbena, oakmoss and ambergris would work.

I love both, and glad I own both. I would say both can be worn in formal situations but Eau Sauvage Parfum is considerably more 'suit'-friendly. It's got a fairly masculine, classy feel to it.
    I'd...

Re: Today I bought May 2019

I've been on a huge* Aventus binge of late. Recently picked up 50mL decant of 19P11 and 30mL decant of 18B01 for those who care.
In my opinion, it's not the best, not the most interesting, not the...

    Re: Deodorant VS. Antiperspirant

Antiperspirant for me. I, too, dislike sweating.
I'm more concerned about breathing diesel particulates on a daily basis whilst trawling up and down the motorway than I am about a little this 'n'...

    Re: Beard And/Or Face Moisturizer

I've found the Bulldog Oil Control moisturiser to hydrate decently enough for me. I used to use the Protective Moisturised (SPF15) but found I got greasy in the latter stages of the day.
    Quite cheap...

Re: The official Jeremy Fragrance fragrance thread

Trying this one out today after someone generously dealt out a handful of, also generous, samples. Got approximately 8mL to my name, gratis.

It's bergamot and pepper predominantly at the fore. The...
  95. Re: Gag gift: Sex Panther by Odeon (what's inside???)

Gasoline makes me think Xerjoff Homme.
'Like Bigfoot's dick', however, makes me think something overtly Civety. Perhaps melange some Civet tincture with Xerjoff Homme?
  96. Re: Best long lasting and projecting Citrus/Summer Frag?

    Profumum Roma Acqua Viva.
    Parfums de Nicolai Neroli Intense.
    Mancera Soleil d'Italie.
  97. Re: Name the fragrance you tried/smelled today for the first time.

    Xerjoff Al-Khat.
Well. Skanky indole right from the outset. From arms-length it's sweet, honeyed, woody goodness. Up close you get a LOT of indole. Yet, it works for me. I enjoy it. I don't know...

Re: Is Cedrat Boise a safe blind buy?

Agreed, generally-speaking it is a pretty safe blind-buy, but it can be overwhelming in terms of performance or underwhelming in terms of notes depending on what you're used to. It's quite different...
  100. Re: What fragrance(s) did you never think you would like, but for whatever reason, you do?!

Generally, 'skanky' fragrances. I never thought, when starting out, that I would be into barnyard, fecal, civet'ed, animalic fragrances but I love them; oud oils which fit this description are a very...
