I think I may try carlo corinto cool edt. Does anybody have a review of this fagrance? I appreciate all the suggestions and im continuing to look
I'm looking for a mens fragrance that gives off a cool refreshing feeling to combat these hot summer months. If such a cologne exists. Thanka in advance
There is a new Eau Sauvage set to debut in 2015. If anybody has any information on it please share with us here
I've had both Sport de Paco Rabanne and eau de Sport Paco Rabanne. Sport de P.R. Is much better. Eau de Sport is just the top notes from the original IMO.
Mexx energizing man is a recent release that I haven't tried yet but the notes make it worth a go.
Bumping this thread. I eagerly await what Creed's new fragrance be like whether it's a mainstream frag or not.
I had a great response at work from a girl while wearing Silver Mountain Water. she asked me about it twice and said she was going to google it. SMW definitely comes alive in cooler temperatures.
Is Creed releasing an aquatic fragrance in 2013?
My impression or why i don't like BdC is that it seems feminine to me or "perfumey" I prefer Chanel's allure homme sport or even better, the underrated allure home sport cologne sport.
Yet another flanker from Joop. Can't they create a new original fragrance instead of a flanker to a fragrance that came out 23 years ago?
Well said Renato and Dreamer.
What about an Eau Sauvage Sport version?
:Covers head waiting for the deluge of hurled rubbish:
Also, so what if it has the word sport in it's title. We should judge a fragrance on it's own merits.
Has anybody heard about this new offering from PR due out in 2012?
Perhaps i'm mistaken but, isn't there supposed to be another Creed men's fragance to be released besides Aventus and Woods and Spices?
L'eau D'Issey is a great citrus scent for hot weather. Definitely works for me in Florida's summers.
+1 You summed it up very nicely Pluran.
Fuel for life is a monster imo. 2 sprays are plenty!
Definitely Issey. What about Ricci Club? Anybody try that one?
I have Lomani Ignition and i love it. It's a great comfort scent. Unfortunately it has poor projection and longevity.
Can't believe all the hate for Drakkar lol. Oh well, i guess it's an 80's throwback like myself.
I've read that sephora has had 20% off in the past but haven't seen anything this year
I bought a decant from an ebay seller.
Aventus by Creed. It's the best i've sampled from that house
That's quite a batting avg. lol
I can't stand LeMale. i tried to like it it but the mint and lavender are just too overpowering to me no matter how many compliments it may garner.
i finally got a chance to smell this. Somebody a few pages back gave a review i identify with. It smells like a high quality, more mature version of Abercrombie & Fitch's Fierce. I like it, but i can...
Eau Sauvage Extreme is supposed to launch in september or so i've read. I'd like to see what their modern version is all about.
I thought that Nautica's Latitude Longitude smelled like suntan lotion when i tried it years ago.
What a coincidence! I just received my sample of Kouros Sport in the mail yesterday! lol
I like it. I wore it to work today but no comments yet/
What was your impression of Hilfiger Athletics?
I just bought St. Ives Energizing Citrus bodywash and it's great. A real awakening scent for my morning shower. I've done some searching and have only come up with D&G light blue pour homme and Mark...
I have been looking thru the fragrance directory and haven't found many. Cereus 5 and Lolita Au masculin are about the only ones that have it at all. Any others? thx
Damn i just bought a bottle of AdG from fragrance.net and it hasn't even arrived yet. I wish i had found out about this earlier.
Sir Slarty- Has reviewed a staggering amount of fragrances. I'm in awe really
Foetidus- Has reviewed just as many and are written in such an unbelievably detailed manner.
Andrew the Cologne Guy- I...
I can't figure out from looking at the notes of these two fragrances but, they both start out with the same perfume note to me. Anyone know?
Here's the notes for those interested. Imo this fragrance's only flaws are that it's marketed to kids and it's label.
Smelled similiar to D&G The One for men.
I really liked Unforgivable's top notes. The drydown has that strange cashmere wood and booze notes that put me off. I've looked for Unforgivable Eau Fraiche to sample it but can't find it anywhere.
Here's a new chrome out soon i'm thinking about trying. Maybe it's something you would like
Even if a fragance is easily available doesn't mean it won't be appreciated. I vote for D&G The One. I would add one other that is made in France. Le Seducteur by Micallef.
Lol i just saw metallica 2 weeks ago in Tampa. I thought about wearing frag but decided not to.
The Ross store i've gone to in the past is so cluttered and disorganized. There also seems to be long lines there because they don't employ enough cashiers. No great loss to me in not shopping there....
I am waiting to try the new eau fraiche version of Unforgivable.
I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this frag since i first read about it. I emailed Luckyscent about when it would arrive in the U.S. Marco wrote back saying it wouldn't arrive until Christmas...
How much did it cost ya LateBloomer? Btw welcome aboard!
I'm considering purchasing Le Sportif by Micallef/Nejman as soon i can find a sample of it. Apparently it hasn't made it to the U.S. yet.
Aramis is a an American brand isn't it? They're rereleasing Havana, New West. Tuscany and a few others aren't they? Those would be good choices
And i thought the heat in florida in the summer was bad. A friend of mine was in houston and he said it was like having a 100 blankets piled on top of him lol.
Brielle, your retail experience has given us a better perspective on how to deal with rude, unproffesional sales people. Thank you.
I stopped into a Ross store here in Orlando today and they had quite a bit for father's day. Gucci Envy, Quorum gift set, Dirty English g.s., alot of the Adidas frags, Burberry, Perry Elis 360 red...
I have Unbound and it is very similiar but take out the pepper of AdG and add cucumber and pimento. I like it alot but it has little sillage. I was wearing Unbound when i went to my physical therapy...
I 2nd Unforgiveable. Funny how Unforgiveable and Creed MI came up. I thought i was the only one who felt that way about them being a pick me up scent. Love the topnotes on Unforgiveable.
Andrew- i can't tell if this one is in your...
I have AdG and i like it but, it has that citronella smell going for it as one reviewer put it. I think it's a little dated now and that Halston Unbound is better. I have heard good things about...
This is amazing. I was at the Florida Mall here in Orlando and i stopped by one of the cologne kiosks. I was shopping for some JPG Le Male and asked the guy and he said he didn't have the small size...
Thanks for everyone's help. I don't know of anyplace in central Florida that carries Rive Gauche so going to a store to try it is out. I"m interested in it not only for myself, but i may get a bottle...
I've heard so much about RG, i got to try it. I searched the Perfumed Court website and they don't carry it all. All the other online fragrance stores don't have samples of it. I tried to buy a...
Throughout the late '80s this was the scent. Man, where did the time go?
I have Unbound. I like it but for me it has weak sillage. I've heard Exceptional for men is good and is more refined than AdG.
I blind bought D&G The One for men 1.6 oz tester for $45 U.S. Not exactly an expensive mistake, but a mistake none the less!
I've wanted to try Escentric 02 for a while now. I think i'll send away for a sample along with some samples of the Cereus scents. Anybody know if there will be an Escentric 03 and what it will be...
According to fragantica.com, Canali for men and Canali Prestige have the same exact notes. I guess the the Prestige version is just a stronger or more intense version
I'm interested. As long as it's done right it could be good. I hope it's available in a size smaller than 100ml.
Bingo- Which Canali are you referring to?
When i first sampled Dirty English, i thought this is definitely not for me. Tried it again after a few people on the forum said they liked it. The smokyiness of it grew on me and i decided to buy a...
I'm waiting on a new fragrance to be introduced for my next purchase. A woody aromatic with musk in the basenotes.
Burberry London has that boozy note in it that Varvatos original doesn't. Can't say about Vintage. I've never smelled it. I think you're okay with just London. Save your money for something better...
Pierre Cardin has been around awhile. i remember receiving a sample of PCPH many years ago. It was available at virtually any drugstore in the U.S. To me at least, the cheap "drugstore" scents seem...
I am looking for a mens masculine scent with musk and no amber or suede. It's the one fragrance type i don't have. Something like a modern Azzaro pour homme. Woods and musk - an aromatic done right...
Isn't the new Creed fragrance for men due in summer '09? I seem to remember someone on Basenotes posting an interview with a representative from the company.
I just got my bottle of Rochas Desir. If you're looking for a bottle i got mine on amazon 2oz for $23 shipped.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone! Here's hoping for some quality frags introduced in 2009! I cant wait for the new Creed men's frag to debut.
Desir and Desir de Rochas are one in the same frags. I blind bought it on Amazon for $23 US for a 2oz bottle. I get citrus and cocoa in the beginning. Very sweet. I rather like it and am going to try...
thanks for the heads up. i got to get dillards asap!
Some great suggestions. thanks to all who took the time to respond. A few that jump out at me: Guerlain Homme, armani eau pour homme,Issy Miyake, acqua di parma intensa, dior eau fraiche.
Thanks guys you all are awesome! This is one of the best boards around the net!
Living in the florida heat and humidity, i prefer a lighter scent. They're suitable almost year round here. The problem is they tend to be geared toward the younger crowd and i can't see me wearing...
Mystery- Because of your experience with SMW, i'm going to have to retry it. I have a half bottle of it that i bought on ebay and thought it wasn't for me.
i saw that too. ridiculous.
Has anyone tried the tommy bahama summer 2008 fragrance? it's the one with the blue stripes on the bottle
Could someone provide a link to a website that lists the notes or ingredients to fragrances. i've seen them on this site board but can't find them now. thanks.
Are there any other gourmand fragrances for men besides Rochas and Angel?
Has anybody heard of Zegna fresh? i thought i saw it mentioned on the now smell this website
Have been on the site and checking out the message board for a while. Great site. I know that some posters don't like aquatics here but, i was wondering if there were any lesser known...
