Definitely in my top 3. No matter how many times I think I get sick of it, I smell it randomly and immediately love it again. Powerful, long lasting and original.
I keep hearing that people find Platinum Egoiste and GIT to be similar. I own them both and they are my top 2 fragrances, but I really find them nothing alike. GIT is smooth, somewhat sweet and...
My first bottle of GIT (1 oz) lasted one month. My second bottle (2.5 oz) is 10% full and i got it 3 months ago.
I completely agree. When I was 18, this was my favorite stuff, and NO ONE wears it, so you'll never smell like anyone else. It's also very easy to wear and it lasts forever.
I've had this for about a year now and still don't know what to think of it. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. Overall, I guess I'd have to say I find it average, with weak staying power??
OK guys...I am going to a grand opening of the new club in town and need to know which of these scents you think I should wear:
Green Irish Tweed
go to theperfumedcourt.com and order a bunch of samples. You can pick different sizes and it's the best way to try out Creeds without spending a ton of money.
I actually just got back from Vegas, and it was AWESOME!! Anyways, I wore Platinum Egoiste by Chanel and I got 4 or 5 compliments on it and it holds up well in the smoky environment of the clubs.
Millesime Imperial for sure.
I believe if you are wearing a fragrance during some memorable time in your life that may stand out, that fragrance will then continue to not necessarily remind you of that exact moment, but more of...
I would say it is authentic. A few years ago my girlfriend did the exact same thing, bought GIT off of ebay and it turned out to be the Green Frich Tweed. The pictures you showed look nothing like...
I am 23 and had similar criteria in my buying Creeds. I ended up buying GIT, MI, and Erolfa, and I would rank them in the order I have listed.
Fahrenheit is awesome, plain and simple. It lasts FOREVER, is masculine and warm. Definitely in my top 5.
GIT is magic...the topnotes create a sporty/sweet smell that is delicious...while the basenotes create a euphoric and soft smell that is rivaled by no fragrance on the market, period. MAGIC.
I got my B.S. in Psychology, and I can tell you right away that there is no genetic link to loving fragrances. Obviously, there can be a genetic factor allowing one to better smell, which would...
I'm thinking about trying this, but I want to know more about it. Obviously it's green, but is it in a way like GIT (sporty/casual), or more upscale/older/crisp type? Please let me know, thanks.
So...it was just St. Patty's Day...how many people wore Green Irish Tweed in spirit of the holiday? I did.
What's great about GIT is the progression the scent goes through and the different stages intertwined throughout the drydown process. When I first put it on, it smells like a giant bouquet of...
You know, I cannot believe I have never heard people compare Calvin Klein's Obsession to Creed's Bois du Portugal. All of the threads talking about designer copies of Creed scents and you'd think...
i got erolfa from scentedmonkey.com.
the BEST was definitely the original Abercrombie...sadly, they discontinued it
I know that there are a million Creed threads, but I want to see if anyone agrees with this statement. I've come to realize that there is a big difference between Creed fragrances and everyone else....
Bois du Portugal
GIT and Imperial are by far the best and will always have a bottle of each of these.
Is it just me, or is this stuff amazing? If you go to Walmart, you can find a 3.4 oz bottle for like $20. Due to this crazy low price, I would say that Mambo by Liz Claiborne is the most underrated...
Green Irish Tweed
i am telling you man, fahrenheit is the longest lasting men's fragrance there is...there simply has to be something wrong with ur nose because i get 24 plus hours out of this stuff...
From your wardrobe, I would go with Fahrenheit. Just my 2 cents.
Platiunum Egoiste by Chanel
All I want to say is that this threat is absolutely ridiculous. There is no way at all that passing by me smoking a cigarette is going to alter the smell of your cologne and kill your day. End of...
I've been on and off for 8 years, and honestly, everything smells the same to me if I'm smoking or not.
scentedmonkey.com....i've gotten 2 bottles, a GIT and an Erolfa from them and both have been 100% authentic, with the date still on the box, and shipped to my house in like 2 days.
I just received my sample of Himalaya and I have to say, it is too much of everything...Initially, it just reeks of a soapy mess, and dries down to the smell of a tobacco pipe shop..gross.
I love this stuff. I once made a thread saying that this is probably the most versatile fragrance ever created. Lately, it is between this, Erolfa, GIT, MI, and Fahrenheit for my favorite.
I just got Creed's MI and I love the smell, but I feel like after an hour or two, it's totally gone, not even present on my shirt. Does anyone actually get staying power?
haha...well then, guess not.
I just got MI in the mail the other day, and immediately it reminded me of D&G pour homme. Has anyone else related these two fragrances? This occurs in the top and mid notes.
fahrenheit...you gotta turn up the heat in the winter.
i'll second PE, as well as curve crush. No one wears it, it's youthful, and damn good.
platinum egoiste...lasts forever
Hugo by Hugo Boss has an "apple pie" note right in it.
I definitely believe that there are "old-fashioned" colognes. There are certain fragrances that immediately create a grandpa-type of association. Most grandfathers wear stuff that was around when...
Does anyone remember the original Abercrombie & Fitch cologne and what it smelled like? I loved this stuff but it was discontinued a year or two ago and am looking for something very similar...any...
Creed GIT, Mambo by Liz Claiborne (seriously), or Fahrenheit by Dior...great uplifting winter scents
Weird that you posted this...a little over a month ago I also ordered a bottle of Erolfa from perfumedistributor.com because it was the cheapest. I too noticed the slight difference in smell, like...
it's all good.
Hey buddy, i've seen the forum a hundred times. And it's a good thing you talked to me like i was an idiot, because that just proved the initial point of people being snobs and all that. I was...
Why doesn't basenotes create a forum specifically for this question and allow people to post as they freely choose. If it is asked that often, give people an instant place to search for their...
If i like Creed's GIT ALOT and Erolfa is pretty good, what other niche houses and scents would you recommend for me to try? Im 23 and do not like orientals, or scents like Bois Du Portugal...I like...
that's a tough one as both were once favorites of mine in the past...but if i had to choose, id go with the fahrenheit...the lasting power is just incredible, easily 24 hours
Let me be more specific here...Which of these two do you prefer, Erolfa by Creed or Green Irish Tweed by Creed?
I bought Erolfa rather recently, and got GIT only last week. I think that they are completely different and it's definitely worth getting GIT. I also have a sample of MI, I like it but it's not...
GIT and Erolfa...GIT lasts much longer though.
Green Irish Tweeeeeeeeeeed
I am 23 and I can recommend a few for ya:
Chanel Platinum Egoiste
I'd give those a shot, I think you'd like em all.
Has anyone ever heard of or tried anything from Nantucket Natural Oils? The website is nantucketnaturaloils.com, and apparently they re-do all kinds of fragrances in a natural way. Sounds...
I know that the 1 oz. botle of this has a fuzzy blue background. I just bought a 2.5 oz bottle last week and it had a sailboat. It's all good.
1. Platinum Egoiste
2. Creed Erolfa
4. Mambo by Claiborne
I just recently found out that the bottle of GIT i own is fake, or Green Frich Tweed. My question is, how much different is the genuine scent to the fake, if anyone knows of course?
I have always been searching for this. The search is why I have 20 different bottles of cologne. Everytime I think I've found that signature scent, it's just not quite right. So, I guess I'll just...
Is it just me, or could this possibly be the greatest all around fragrance there is.
What about fragrances like Creed, where it's supposed to be all natural and nothing synthetic? Have you tried wearing a fragrance from that house?
Two questions...Does anyone get a little Polo Blue from the cucumber in this fragrance. Also, amongst the other Creeds, where would you rank it?
I just got Erolfa by Creed in the mail today from perfumedistributor.com. After reading that this may be a sketchy site, i assumed i was going to get a fake or bad bottle. I got my order in 2 days,...
I think that Drakkar Noir and Francesco Smalto smell extremely similar...
Also, Spark by Claiborne and Pi by Givenchy smell very similar to me
