Re: Sprays for Habit Rouge EDP?

It will simply depend upon you and your level of desired detection. I fail to see how any one individual can tell another how much or how little of a perfume to wear - it's all subjective....

    Re: Agarscents Ambergris

I'm no ambergris expert, but i know ambroxan and cetalox quite well. I was given some sample vials - one being of "white" ambergris oil from Agarscents after ordering some musks and forgot about that...

    Re: Diesel Green Special Edition

Yes - the Special Edition is a VERY different scent. Much more in-depth, spicier, dynamic - the evergreen notes literally leap out at you. Nothing like the normal edition. Very hard to come by and...

Yes - let's hope all are reissued as they really are all quite good quality scents.

Very disappointed - but not surprising after L'Oreal butchered the entire line of fragrances. Just another swing of the axe on that once glorious tree.

What in marketing hell are "sapphire woods?" C'mon - with "frozen" accords and now colors of gemstones as adjectives, things are getting WAY out of hand with these celebu-scents (and other...

Shame on you M. Polge. You should be bringing this house back into it's once regal state - not cheapening it further with cut-rate crap. Might as well be body spray sold at a discount store.

    Re: HELP! Broken bottle

You may have better luck with some pliers and tin snips - I've found that using those, especially something that can cut metal in a scissor-like manner helps greatly.

    Re: Ambre Precieux at Overstock.com

Bought up two of them and they're the newer bottle (with the screw-on atomizer) - the jeweled cap had separated into two pieces on both bottles - nothing a touch of super glue didn't fix easily. Paid...

    Re: Rush Replacement

The aftershave of Tumulte PH isn't nearly as good as the EDT. Bought both and the aftershave is still nearly unused - dies in under an hour.

Great article - glad to know someone's acknowledging the reformulations - and openly even!

Even better is the "heritage perfumes" idea - it's about time somebody took a stance. Hopefully this will...

Hmm - nice story I guess, but I'm not sure if making fun of someone's accent is really appropriate, no matter how "endearing" it might be.

How precious - and why stop there? Why not nestle the bottles in boxes made of solid agarwood, lined with the pelts of unborn snow leopards.
  20. Re: Reviews / SOTD / Wardrobes etc back up and running

When trying to read reviews about Ormonde Jayne products, I get this error message:

Stopped by my local Chanel counter and gave it a whirl - nice, but nothing groundbreaking and it has the feel of scents you've smelled before. Glad it's not a fruity, watery candy - but I wish it had...

Same thing in my small bottle of Burberry Brit - like a sediment. This was NOT present in my last, larger (and older) bottle.

Re: Comme des Garcons - Wonderwood

Just tried my sample from Luckyscent - I'm rather nonplussed about this. Smells like one of my crude aroma chemical experiments that just results in a flabby blend of woody bases - diffusively...

The only perfume I know of that uses this is Balmain's Vent Vert - used in the manner that Mr. Ruskin just mentioned. Unmistakable, but it's quite fleeting. Probably would have been better without...

    Re: NEW L'Artisan "Al Oudh"

    Re: Your Blackest Scent

Ungaro III seems to fit the bill too - some reviewers likened it to the smell of a vampire's coffin lining or what Bela Lugosi might wear. I have to agree - a wonderfully dark, gothic rose lurks in...
