Sugi Monocle Scent Three Comme des Garcons
Straight to Heaven
A wonderful perfume - extremely well composed, harmonically blended with a rich smelling. Elegant, sophisticated and long lasting. It's more for the evening, but quite versatile. Meanwhile, there are...
Sugi, no doubt about it. Sugi is more sophisticated and works good eight hours on me.
True words, nothing to add.
Yes exactly. I purchased it from their webite and after three days it arrived. Since then I have never used it again. Maybe I should.
I have tried it a few times. Pepper and woods dominate. Find it ok, but neither something new nor special. The longevity is rather weak on me, as is the projection.
My wife and I share a bottle. She uses it more than I do, but I wear it from time to time also with pleasure. It is unisex i would say.
The opening of Sugi is indeed surprising with the Gin aura. But I'm really enthusiastic from the moment when the woody notes kick in, after about 30 minutes. Then Sugi becomes a wonderfully elegant...
I have found a similarity. In each phase, it reminds me of the original fragrance.
Comme des Garçons Monocle Scent 3: Sugi
CEDRAT BOISE Mancera
Recently i visited a Stefano Ricci designer Store and realized that there are three new perfumes available. The line is called «Royal Eagle» and I was impressed by «Gold» of this line: Luxurious...
Molecule 01? Too perfect for this world? Heavenly? The best in the house? Wow, can't wait for the sample on its way.
Spice and Wood
I wear it mostly for special occasions, like an exclusive gala dinner or a wedding – and when I want to feel elegant and royal. Office? No problem, it is versatile enough. But it deserves rather a...
No, there's nothing like it in my opinion. Les larmes sacrées de Thèbes is as unique as stunning beautiful. Bought it at Roja Dove's Haute Perfumery at Harrods a few years ago. I love it so much....
Indeed a very nice, soft leather. Still have two bottles left from the first release and wear it for special evening events.
Creed Spice and Wood
Have it, smell it every time I use it, like it – and it works magically.
Angelique sous la pluie - Frederic Malle
Smelled this yesterday form a sample and I agree with the resemblance to aventus. I should test them side by side.
Well, I think it's a rather old style citrus fragrance, which doesn't mean it's bad at all. I bought it a few years ago and rarely use it. Should try it again.
Les Larmes Sacrées de Thèbes. Had to do that – it's such a beauty.
It's worth to try this line. I like J’ai Fait Un Rêve Pour Lui (formerly Songe pour Lui), which is very comforting with just enough sweetness. Quite spicy at the beginning, woods, saffron and...
Windsor, Jardin d'Amalfi, Spice and Wood, Silver Mountain Water, Millesime Imperial
spice and wood
Silver Mountain Water
... and the real champion:
Amber Oud by Kilian
Devil in disguise Mark Buxton
Fantastic scent, no doubt. And perfectly unisex. My wife loves it as well as my son.
So do I. Noir has something of TF Extreme and Dior Homme Intense and a good projection. On me it lasts 12 hours or more. Perfect for cooler days. Might become a winner.
Cuir noir - a beauty of a perfectly balanced leather, oud, wood scent with some spices and benzoin. Just wonderful.
Creed Jardin d'Amalfi
Very well described, hedonist. I am very impressed too. And I love the woody notes becoming stronger over time.
L'Eau Chic de Nicolai
Le Pamplemousse Miller Harris - very citric, very Grapefruit, very woody based on Vetiver, very elegant - a winner for me!
Reminds me of Nasomatto's Pardon. Less dense, like it!
Creed Jardin d'Amalfi
and many more
and many more
Spice and wood
Silver Mountain Water and Millesime Imperial
Agree with Opus 1870.
Indeed. Actually a very subtle scent, starting with oud and soft leather, becoming a bit smoky in the heart. The base is sweet and creamy with vanilla and benzoin. I like it a lot, but it's quite...
This, and Straight to Heaven by Kilian.
Undoubtedly Windsor. A scent in a class of its own: highly sophisticated, outstanding quality and and extraordinarily good smelling. The single most important discovery for me in 2011.
I layer it from time to time with Asrar Attar. It's a perfect mix for me.
New: Indochine PG
Discovery: Creed Windsor + Jardin d'Amalfi
Indochine Parfumerie Générale
My thoughts as well. To handle with care, two sprays may be almost too much.
My opinion: not much resemblance to LIDGE. Both have their own personality and both are good. I prefer Pardon due to it's stronger manly character. Or in a woman's words, written in a german blog:...
Nasomatto's Pardon and even more Duro
Indult Reve en cuir
Mark Buxton Nameless
Dior Homme Intense
and a few others more.
Chanel Allure Homme Blanche
Le Labo Vanille 44 is quite refreshing, with a a hint of mandarin.
You guys are so funny!
Who is bathing the dog in the scent and let him shake out the fur from 1 foot in front of you while sitting cross-legged on the floor?
Ulrich Lang's Nightscape
Roja Dove at Harrods. Ask for "Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes". It's very exclusiv and very worth a sniff.
Go for Dior homme Intense. It's good for both of you, extremely sophisticated and well balanced. Definitly on the younger side than L'Instant EDP, which is also a marvelous scent.
1 Reve en Cuir by Indult
1 Patou pour Homme
1 Patou pour Homme Privé
and soon 1 Dior Homme Intense (Vintage...)
Purchased D600 some time ago. I like it, reminds me slightly of Dior Homme Intense in some stages of the drydown, but with less projection.
Smelled it in Milano at esxence and was impressed. I remember a Duro-vibe with oud. Can't wait to sample it again. Hope it will be released this month.
The new one, 34 Blvd. Saint Germain. It's really a nice one.
"Songe pour lui" by Lilly de rêve (this is so great!)
"Homage" by Amouage
"Les Larmes Sacrées de Thèbes" by Baccarat (Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie)
Les Larmes Sacrées de Thebes, Baccarat
Indult «Reve en Cuir»?
Millesime Imperial in my opinion.
Nothing to add at all...
Les Larmes Sacrées de Thebes (Baccarat). A purchase at Roja Dove.
1. Reve en Cuir, Indult
2. Les Larmes Sacrées de Thebes, Baccarat
3. Homage, Amouage
4. Uden, Xerjoff
5. Patou pour Homme Privé, Jean Patou
Micallef Celebration Man – just wonderful.
Completely agree - surprising, original and masculine indeed.
Ein ausgezeichneter Beitrag, gut geschrieben und informativ.
An excellent article, well researched. Rare nowadays.
Homage and Asrar, followed by Bahjah. Homage and Asrar blend perfectly together.
10 Corso Como Uomo - the closest in my opinion.
Dullah, I completely agree with all of your camparisons. For me pepper is the most dominating note. And there is probably another scent in the same manner: Aramis Impécable.
So try Aramis Impecable, I detect that certain something in the kind of Aventus, probably less deep, but more fresh.
Dullah, it's the new one you discovered. The first one opens also sideways but has an orange leather cage. And the scents are completely different.
$1000 in a day recently - for a bottle of Les Larmes Sacrées de Thebes at Roja Dove. I am so crazy. But it has become my holy grail. It's gorgeaus, perfect, like a dream.
Nightscape by Ulrich Lang
Uden (Xerjoff) gets compliments again and again - by the same woman, her nose on my chest, saying «you can't leave me now with that smell». That makes me helpless - an so I stay for another hour...
Enough for the rest of my life - and still looking for the one and only! The never ending story includes around 80 bottles and 250 samples. And the best: since Xerjoff my wife starts to go along with...
41 left? That's what they said about 2 months ago... Purchased a bottle - and my wife is wearing it with pleasure. Vanille, sweet and pleasing, strong projection and long lasting.
Uden for me.
Patou Pour Homme Prive
Received my purchased bottle directly from 10 CC yesterday. First impression: Close to Comme des Garcons 2 Man for the first three hours. Burnt wood, as Rogolai mentionned. A pleasing scent, but...
I purchased the special edition Verona 010 from Xerjof e-Boutique, as it sounds promising. Did somebody have the chance to try this?
I suggest 10 Corso Como.
Asrar – try Asrar. Shortly after applying I thought smelling Duro. Asrar developped to a beautiful and gentle scent, with good projection at the beginning, weakening after 2 hours. Medium longevity...
I so agree with all of you sharing your enthusiastic descriptions of the line with us. After three Nio days (anyone else felt some resemblance in Nio's drydown to Creeds Windsor?) it's my Uden day...
Poeple liking Green Irish Tweed might love Al Andalus. Bahjah I discribe as a very subtle, very elegant attar. Did I detect some similarities to Canali for men? Others?
I had the opportunity to try the female version of Jubilation for the first time and was even more impressed than from XXV. What are your expreriences about wearing it?
Last saturday I tried Amouage Jubilation 25 for the first time. I was highly impressed.
Aeroplane from Detaille, Paris. A good old fashioned Citrus scent for pilots in leatherjackets.
