what is LIDGE?
and Costume National Scent Intense
I've tried about 10 perfumes from them (actually bought all of them and tried them on repeat): Kyoto, Zagorsk, Standard, Rose, Airborne, DSM, Play, White and A new perfume. I like them all but in 2,3...
Can anyone tell me how is the new reformulation of Equipage? I hardly remember the old one so this new one is totally unknown by me. How is it in terms of longevity and silage? Is it a leather or...?
Do any of you guys have any experience with this Icelandic brand? How are they in terms of originality, silage, longevity etc.?
Kenzo Homme, L'eau par Kenzo (great for summer), Power, Air
True :) I have received their newsletter and they have quite a good selection of Serge Lutens.
Any opinions on these? Most interested in AB.
I think it's one of the most interesting fragrances on the market and definitely Versace's best (and most controversial too considering the love and hate opinions).
well it's nothing new nor interesting, that's for sure.
Just smelled this one today in Sephora and for me it's a toned down/less sweet version of Black XS. Maybe a little bit more powdery/dusted.
Don't know if you know about these, but here they are:
Hey guys! I quite like some Byredo fragrances like Rose Noir, Baudelaire and Pulp but it seems there's a lot of hate for this house. Why is that?
I think Egoiste solely beats everything from YSL or Dior. In fact I think Egoiste is the fragrance the any niche house would love to have in it's portfolio. Egoiste, imho, is one of the most original...
the lack of the medicinal note, from my point of view, is a good thing as it smelled like a dentists' office. how is the longevity/silage of the new M7 Oud Absolute?
Excellent fragrance. Smells great during the cold winter days. 5, 6 hours longevity and good silage.
I am not choosing my fragrance solely on longevity but to pay almost 300 Euros for 50 ml of fragrance that will not even last 3 hours I think it ridiculous.
and I mean 6h+ and good projection.
could you compare this one with Kenzo Homme?
From my experience with CdG, Creed, Eau d'Italie, A. Goutal, L'artisan and other, niche fragrances are poorer than designer fragrances in terms of projection and longevity.
Habit Rouge does the job pretty well. I've been looking for the same thing as I was kind of disappointed with the CdGs that I like, in terms of silage and longevity, and so I am now quite fascinated...
are there any?
Lumiere Noire pour homme
Amouage Lyric man
also long lasting and with good projection would be great. any advice?
It seems that my beloved CdG fragrances like: Kyoto, Standard, 2Man, Guerrilla 1&2 even Wonderwood and the new Amazingreen only last for about 2 (maximum 3) hours on my skin. After...
I am not particularly interested in the piney/forest in winter smell. I am more interested in the clean frozen/arctic water smell. If you get my point....
or that cold feeling and aroma that you smell in winter. the cold smell of snow. any advice on what scent might resemble this?
Hanae Mori has launched HiM, a new woody oriental fragrance for men:
Hanae Mori Parfums introduces you to HiM, the proud result of more than a decade of sculpting, refining and finishing the best...
this is a great fragrance. very niche smelling for a mainstream scent. longevity and projection are great. 6h+
I would like to blind buy one of these. Which one do u advice?
Also I have recently smelled the classic 4711 and I love it but it doesn't last. Is 4711 somehow similar to the Acqua di Parma...
I don't think it's discontinued. It's still on the V&R website.
so all the bottles will be renamed with Saint Laurent and not YSL?
what fragrance could suit the mood of a film noir?
and here is the ad
Do any of you know if there is an online shop that delivers in EU samples of Diptyque ?
also a discontinued one....
really really miss the old Gucci Rush for men and I've been looking for something similar since it got discontinued. Lacroix Tumulte is really hard to find as well and I've been looking for a...
+1 for Avignon
to give you an idea on what I like here are some of my favorites:
Hanae Mori HM, CdG2, Costume National Scent Intense, Guerlain Habit Rouge & L'instant EdP, L'eau par Kenzo & Kenzo homme, Bulgari...
A friend asked me what scent would I like as a gift. Unfortunately in Romania we don't have Serge Lutens yet so I decided for a SL fragrance. It will be a blind buy so which one do you think is the...
Regarding the EdP I have both the red leather version and the new one without it and though it's still nice I can tell that something has changed. That powdery/sweet accord it's not there anymore or...
well tried this one today and it only smells of clean burnt rubber to me. if that makes sense. it's not something I'd like to wear or smell on someone else.
very good. excellent lasting power and silage
To me it smells like a funeral. I love it but everyone around me said it's grotesque.
there is another thread about this one and people seem to like it there. hmmmm....
Midnight in Paris is such a nice fragrance but oh so safe and boring.
what packaging, what reformulation? Nooooo!
I don't see the Le Male resemblance either. Quite the opposite.
The rubber and vanilla are there but very smooth.
Just rediscovered this one and it's so so good.
Strangely I don't have longevity issues with it.
Hope they won't discontinue it.
dunno maybe the powdery effect makes it feminine to my nose
love it anyway
so everyone is doing a sport fragrance this year
Love love love this one but doesn't it smell a little bit too feminine?
Has this one been reformulated?
Just smelled his Atlas Cedar and just love it.
What do you think of JCB fragrances?
Are they worthy?
Is the difference really that impressive?
floral-sweet? I think it's quite the opposite.
I also wonder about the new version
this one gets most of the compliments and it's one of the few that people actually notice
Fleur du Male the most interesting one
do they worth any attention?
Egoiste is one of a kind. Very alternative for a mainstream fragrance. Lasts forever.
Sécrétions Magnifiques. Sorry but it's a vomit inducing scent.
Funny that some fragrances considered by many of you as THE WORST are actually best sellers :).
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fragrance. Unfortunately my mother thinks it smells like sweat :(
Bring back Le Feu d'Issey!!!!!
????? I think L'eau d'Issey is one of the most long lasting fragrances ever. A powerhouse of the aquatics.
Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!
Gas. It's a jeans company.
another good reason to visit beautiful Iceland :)
Nylon vanilla smoothie in a bottle could be a CdG fragrance as well
second Costume National Homme. The girls (and the boys) just love it!
I love this fragrance but I also have longevity problems with it. Maximum 5 hours and projection almost 1 hour then it's gone.
I think it's one of the best scents ever. Extremely refined.
EVERYONE asks what I am wearing and women simply love it.
I don't like the piney smell in Zagorsk and I wanted to know if Kyoto is similar. I like Avignon but it smells like a Romanian funeral and it makes everyone uncomfortable around me. Jaisalmer doesn't...
I have zagorsk and I would like to try some more from the incense line. How would you compare these two fragrances? Thx
Hanae Mori. much more refined
Viktor & Rolf will launch Spicebomb, a new spicy woody oriental fragrance for men, in early 2012. Spicebomb is styled as...
it's actually 65 euros not 80. at least in sephora
Has anyone really smelled this one? It's even on their website but nowhere else to be found....
is this for real?
I think he was talking solely about this collection
Lancôme Launch New Curated Collection Les Parfums Exclusifs
where exactly does it say they are reformulated? and I'm not talking about the comments because these are always very different and you don't know what exactly to believe. Better wait and smell them...
it's part of the new released La Collection YSL
I actually believe his clothes are quite nice and very high end
so....Octavian says this new M7 is better than the original. this sounds interesting....
I actually think they look quite elegant.
taking this into consideration cdg is not niche either
anyone tried it?
is this one still available? I used to like it but don't know what happened to it. it seems impossible to find it in Europe. any advice where I could buy it?
L'instant is what you would expect for a good masculine fragrance to be. HM is somehow unique in the man's perfumery world. I find it extremely refined (much more than L'instant) but not as masculine.
I remember someone already mentioned this on basenotes. Any news on it? Anyone tried it yet?
any advice? what about Mure et Musc Extreme?
