Fat Electrician. My favorite vetiver next to Sycomore atm.
Bye bye Dior. No match even.
Coromandel by far
Bois d`Iris by The Different Company might be nice for you: cedar combined with iris.
Confusion all the way!
An awesome combo.
easy: Sycomore > anytime, anyplace, anywhere...
maybe the devs can move this topic to that section
handy to have it there for future reference...
At 28 you can get away with basically anything.
Wear what you like!
31 Rue Cambon by Chanel.
Gorgeous unisex modern chypre.
On the expensive side though, but worth it.
Don't blindbuy this. I got a bottle as a present and I hate amber ever since.
Gave the bottle away to my sister, who fell in love with it.
So my advice: test it first. It's a love-or-hate perfume.
I got both. Using the 2nd formulation not very often, because there's not much left.
Just got 2 bottles of Oud Absolu so I can use that whenever I feel like it.
I'd say go for the Oud Absolu. It's...
Maybe it's the ambrette seed. That gives a sweet dried fruity kind of vibe.
Virgin Island Water [Creed]
Oliver Polge is the new in house perfumer?
Was hoping for Sheldrake. The male oriented Exclusifs like Coromandel and Sycomore were promising.
Sycomore / Eau de Campagne are my fav greens atm.
Intense, but own and love all three of em.
Hopefully it's magnetic like Les Exclusifs / Bleu.
And a sprayer like No.19 Poudre, but that's wishful thinking I guess...
None: hate em all...
The worst: One.
To not get fully addicted and stay below 30 bottles.
I'd go for the Guerlains.
Classic! Lasts forever on your skin and forever and a year on clothes.
Antaeus [the original formula]
followed by Fahrenheit
Best commercial as well... :-)
well it saves me some cash...
I'm hoping for Coromandel. Will certainly get that if it's one of the three.
My favourite green frags:
Eau De Campagne [Sisley]
Fat Electrician [Etat Libre d'Orange]
Coromandel by Chanel gets complimented the most.
I love LIDGE as well, but I'd kill for Coromandel!
It won't last longer then the original. In fact the only formulation of the series that lasts shorter then Edition Blanche is Allure Homme Sport Cologne.
For me the best is still the original...
Try the Boisee version. It does the same trick and lasts all day.
Wonderfull stuff (both versions).
Dune by Dior.
Fresh, green & perfect for summer.
And no citrus!
My most worn bed-frag of the past year: Chanel no.19 Poudre.
The first whiff of Coromandel blew my mind. Bought a 200ml straight away.
Still does the trick 250-ish ml later!
Armani & Calvin Klein are both horrible and wide spread.
Would say CK is worse though.
Coromandel = insane longevity
Grats Guerlain: well deserved!
Oh thank god: I almost ran off buying 3x 200ml Coromandel 2x200ml Sycomore 1x200ml Rue Cambon for 1350-ish euros!
Eau de Guerlain
That would prolly be Coromandel for me.
These 4 Les Exlusifs are all jawdroppers: Coromandel / Sycomore / Bois des Iles / 31 Rue Cambon.
4x 200ml of Les Exclusifs.
Allure Homme for me.
+1 on Chanel's Bois des Iles. It's gorgeous!
Egoiste / Fahrenheit
2. Allure Homme
What's your favorite fragrance of the Les Exclusifs line by Chanel?
Coromandel by Chanel might do the trick for you.
I own both and I prefer the diversity of Sycomore. I almost finished my 200ml bottle and will buy a fresh one right away. Encre Noir is already getting boring after the first 20ml I've used of my...
Basically any Chanel opening.
Especially gorgeous in No.5, Cuir de Russie, No.22, Bois des Iles.
Aldehydes usually make me high!
That's the magic of Sycomore. Some days it won't be smokey at all. But other days it will be dark & smokey as hell...
Therefore one of the most interesting frags I've come across.
I nuke em with 6+ sprays and tell em THEY smell if they make even the slightest negative comment.
The majority comes into my office and tell me it smells nice though.
A lot of times telling me it...
Both awesome. Have both of them in my collection and wear them a lot in winter.
And LOVE 'em both. Loads of compliments as well... :)
Mitsouko / 31 Rue Cambon
If I have to choose I would go for RC though.
31 Rue Cambon... 100+ wearings last year. And still amazing!
Iris / woods / more woods doesn't sound too bad, but I'd rather have Relax back on the market!
Loved that frag...
Egoïste for me.
Minus the amber, the vanilla and the price it sounds wonderful!
Still in my collection and won't buy again: Body Kouros, Dsquared Potion, Encre Noire, Spicebomb, SL Chene, Cacharel Pour L'Homme, SL Louve, SL Santal Blanc, Guerlain Vetiver Extreme. So most of all:...
Bois des Iles: jawdropping opening and keeps amazing me till the end of the drydown.
Still experiencing new aspects even after wearing it a 100+ times.
Coromandel / 31 Rue Cambon / Sycomore in EdP or Pure concentration would make me happy.
And a new male focussed Les Exclusifs would be awesome too.
It was synthetic smelling in the 90's too. No clue if they reformulated the stuff, but it might have been your nose that has changed.
Earth to LeDuc!!
Guerlain L'Instant Pour Homme Eau Extreme prolly.
+1 on Pi.
And would like to add Virgin Island Water.
Love it! And that comes from a vanilla-hater.
Benzoin seems to be doing miracles for me...
Have it and love it. Great projection and longevity. Have bought it for summer but it's great in autumn as well.
It doesn't beat L'Homme Intense for me though: that's just awesome.
Might get L'Eau...
I'm addicted to Chanel. Most of my collection are Chanels.
You should check out Les Exclusifs and you'll be blown away... ;)
Bois des Iles
Sycomore ofc. And Vetiver Tonka from Hermes.
Coromandel / Sycomore / Bois des Iles / Cuir De Russie / 31 Rue De Cambon are all great unisex frags.
Would miss my Guerlains though...
Hermessence Ambre Narguile
I always wear Sycomore by Chanel when clubbing. Works wonders.
Background was gorgeous. Still miss that after all those years... :(
Coromandel / L'Instant Extreme
dsquared potion: amber, cinnamon, pepper. no incense though.
L'Instant Eau Extreme
all in EdP
Only twice: Egoiste, 20 years ago and Coromandel two years ago.
Both knocked me off my feet.
I stay away from vintage, so yes: I like all reformulations I own.
And if I don't like a fragrance that has been changed anymore, I'll find another one.
Enough frags out there imo.
Sycomore will be my pick for tomorrow.
Burn, baby, BURN!!
Ooh... that would be awesome!
Let's hope it's as good as most of the other Les Exclusifs...
The two times that I was in the Douglas store in Den Haag the SA's were very friendly and took a long time guiding me and helping me sampling the huge amount of exclusive Guerlains they have there....
Gorgeous fragrance that won't disappoint. Especially if you love the EdT version.
The EdP beats it by far though.
I love wearing Mitsouko EdP. And I'm quite triggerhappy with it als well.
1 or 2 at the neck, 1 at the back of my head in my hear, 1 at my chest or on my shirt and 1 on each hand or arm.
+1 on Sycomore. Works in every season and on any day or night. Great for work, clubbing or formal wearings.
While not all real flankers:
Monsieur got Concentree
Antaeus got Sports
Egoiste got Concentree & Platinum
Allure got many
so it's 99% safe to say that Bleu will have at least one flanker at some...
Tough! So I'll pick three: Mitsouko [EdP] / L'Instant Extreme [EdP] / L'Homme Extreme [EdP]
A nice shot of rum in Virgin Island Water [Creed] & Chêne [Serge Lutens].
2 frags I don't like anymore went to the bathroom: Potion by DSQuared / Zino Davidoff.
They both do wonders there!
Bois des Iles has the best opening I've ever smelled. It's heavenly.
Same goes for the drydown...
Jil Sander Background.
Chanel No.19 Poudre.
I think you mean Bois Noir. Bois des Iles is still available in the boutiques: just bought a new 200ml bottle last week.
But you are right: this is the first discontinued male Chanel ever if you...
Bois des Iles.
Still works 80+ years later...
Coromandel is a different league. Easily in my alltime top 3. An awesome present.
You're girlfriend will love you! And if she doesn't like it, I'm sure you will...
