For some reason can't reply with PM.
Interested in your Houbigant Fougere Royale. Here's what I have to swap:
Mugler Pure Tonka
Mugler Pure Havane
Bond I Love NY for all (100ml size)
Sorry, but it's long gone. thanks for asking.
Something is screwy with my email at basenotes. I couldn't PM you either.
the deed is done.
Yes, I'll take the Royal Mayfair. More ml than I want but I like the idea of having the original flacon. Pay through PayPal? Need your info. when will you ship?
Lookin for 25ml decant of Royal Mayfair
Please read the history again. Creed doesn't claim to have sold fragrances to the public until 1970. Prior to that they only made fragrances upon request. I don't see anywhere that they claim to have...
How about an almost full bottle of Tom Ford Oud Fleur at more than half off? Retail is $220 and it's yours for $100.
Why am I selling? I have too many fragrances in my rotation and this one is very...
I'm probably too old to still be around when it happens, but it will be humorous 20-30 years from now hearing the younger generations describe how they despise many of today's favorites.
Looking for Aventus. I have some great fragrances to offer. If you have Aventus and are interested in a swap, please PM me.
Based on his personality, I think he'd wear "Ass."
Both are fantastic.
Armani Prive Myrrhe Imperiale
When asked, I always have difficulty estimating the percentage left. I try to get as close as possible. This does, however, look less than 99%.
L'Air du Desert Morocain
I've learned two very expensive lessons:
First, the listing of notes really doesn't describe the scent you'll get. I've blind purchased many that had all the notes I love only to find them a...
In 1968 I was on the road with my band. Someone gave me the "9 Flags" set of colognes (by Coty I think). Each scent was supposed to be representative of a different country. I don't remember the...
I too have very dry eyes. The primary cause is aging. The secondary cause is the sunscreen/skin cream I was using. Stopped using the cream. Doc prescribed Restasis. Much better but not wholly cured.
I went a bit further and captured my most frequent wears in all of 2015. My Top 5 were:
Amber Absolute 25
INvasion Barbare 15
I also wore...
It has become obvious to me that I have too many fragrances in my collection, and trying to rotate all of them means that I only wear my VERY favorite fragrances about once a month.
So, I'm trying...
First, amber is my favorite note so I've tried MANY of them. Here are my thoughts.
Amber is the best amber ever created. It was discontinued but now is back
Tobacco Vanilla is VERY much sweeter...
Michael Jordan Legend
I always liked Pasha and so did my lady.
After deliberating for a year, I've finally decided to swap my Creed Royal Oud. It's 2.5 oz. and is about 85% full. I have the original box. I'm looking primarily for:
Profumum Roma Dulcis in...
After deliberating for a year, I've finally decided to sell my Creed Royal Oud. It's 2.5 oz. and is about 85% full. I have the original box. Price is $150.
PM me if interested.
Run to the Scent Bar and try this. It's amazing.
I think there are two reasons:
1. The design of the Fragantica site is more feminine and, shall I say, "pretty?"
2. Visiting both Fragantica and Basenotes daily, I have noticed that there is much...
I have Calling All Angels and it has some flakes in it.
While staying at the Ritz in Atlanta, I was introduced to Orange Ginger body soap by Bath and Body works. It is fantastic. If you like your fragrances fresh and invigorating, try it.
Most of this deals with male sexuality. Go back, click on the link and look at the ad at the bottom of the page and worry no more. Create a scare then provide a solution.
Looking for Dulcis in Fundo, Encanted Forest, Fusion Sacree Pour Lui
Yes, yes, yes. And maybe whether the pineapple in various batches is sweet or sour.
See the list of what I have to swap below. I'm looking for the following:
Phi Une Rose du Kandahar
Fusion Sacree pour Lui
I need to find good homes for these fragrances. All are at least 90% full and most have boxes.
Creed Millesime Imperiale 200ml - $100
L'Artisan Traversee du Bosphore 100ml - $115
How verified? Laboratory testing or human perception?
Why is Creed the only company I see criticized on this forum for batch variations?
Has to be more to the story...
What are the variables in determining the smell of different batch numbers?
A person's nose - no two of us smell things exactly the same way.
A person's skin - our skin reacts to fragrance in...
So, are we to conclude from the responses to the question that older Creeds don't have the batch number on the bottle and the newer ones do? Side by side comparisons of my bottles sans batch numbers...
I'm in an interesting conversation with another fragrance connoisseur. I have purchased numerous bottles of Creed and currently have three in my collection. Nothing I have now or have ever bought has...
I've tried them all and like many of them - BUT - none are worth the price. I'll pay what it takes, but Bond just doesn't rise to that level.
With all due respect, according to other threads about Creed, they didn't do fragrance until around 1975 so how can this even be a controversy?
Excuse me - but - wasn't the name of Hitler's party the National Socialist? Are socialists "right wing?"
Someone please share with us what this fragrance, Royal Mayfair, has done wrong. What is it actually guilty of?
New Haarlem is a clone of Michael Jordan Legend only the Bond is VERY much more expensive.
As someone else has stated, Killian makes very sweet fragrances. I like sweet, but his Sweet Redemption...
Agree that it's totally different. VF is more of a spicy vanilla. It is cheap however and is nice.
I played "back in the day" - 60's and 70's and wearing fragrance was a waste of time. You and your equipment all smelled of cigarette smoke. Nothing could penetrate that.
I get a foul smell from the basenotes of many Creeds.
The only reason I get tired of fragrances I have is that I keep finding fragrances that are BETTER. I could care less whether designer or niche.
Maybe a whale ate a squid then pooped it before full digestion was complete.
Cedar Atlas by Atelier Cologne is...well...CEDAR.
Don't know about specials. Was trying to buy some Tauer PHI Rose du Kandahar and they seem to be the only shop that has any right now.
Anyone bought something from The Perfume House? Are they legit?
Sorry - I wasn't addressing my comments to you but people in general. There are always exceptions.
don't care for Terre but Chergui is one of the best fragrances ever concocted. The more I wear it, the more I like it.
Had you visited a site like Basenotes in the early 90's Joop Homme would be all the rage. Guess what - for the most part, it's still the same fragrance it was back then. So, the disdain it gets here...
Amber Absolute absolutely. Amber is my favorite note so I've tried most. Ambre Sultan on me has skanky basenotes. AA is very linear and keeps that magnificent amber note throughout.
Regardless of what you wear, ask yourself this question, "What if the person I'm interviewing with doesn't like what I'm wearing?"
Or even worse, has a very negative reaction.
I would never...
They also make Rhinoceros and at least one other, maybe Squirrel or Pole Cat?
THANKS SO MUCH FOR GUESSING 49!!!!!! Actually, that's my birth year - 1949.
Based on the wardrobe, I'd guess Zerby is 40-45.
Invasion Barbare for being the opposite of what it sounds like it would be. Nothing barbaric about it.
Want to purchase or swap for:
Rose De Kandahar
Terri Bozzo - Perfumes by Terri
She's in CA
Hope it's all legit, but unless there has been a change, the VIW cap is blue.
You have great taste. those are the four I just bought.
Just tried all her samples - excellent. Just ordered four. Prices are unbelievable for EDP.
If you aren't already familiar with Perfumes by Terri, and you're a gourmand lover, check them out. ALL their offerings are excellent and the prices are phenomenal.
Many great vanillas our there. One that is vanilla without being overly sweet is Vanilla Flash.
Also think Shams is good but didn't crave the rest of the line.
I was born too early. When I was in school, the girls could only wear dresses, skirts, and button up blouses. We couldn't tell what was under there...
If you apply to clothing, be sure to spray on the inside. Some fragrances will stain the fabric.
Amber Absolute and Aventus. Also have backup of Joop Homme ...oops...probably shouldn't have admitted that.
People who use words like "shit" in these forums.
I'm there also. First, I'm just not finding anything that is really different or interesting enough to buy. Second, I've realized that I'm so busy testing samples that I'm only occasionally wearing...
YES! Give him a gift certificate.
I wear whatever I like regardless of the categorization. Two I particularly like are Coromandel and Shalimar.
This happens to me everywhere I go and it is extremely irritating and frustrating. It's their job to approach you but, after you've stated you need no help, they shouldn't continue to spray cards and...
West Third Brand's Tobacco 1812
Smell Bent's Chile Vanilli - spicy patchouli with a bit of vanilla
Sonoma Scent Studio's Incense Pure and Champagne Bois
Naomi Goodsir's Cuir...
Totally agree with nightcutter
Several times in this forum I have recommend Sonoma Scent Studio. Now I'd like to recommend another company.
Smell Bent is a small, independent perfumer. As a counterpoint to the "seriousness" of...
Hope it's better than the last releases.
The closest I've come is Amber Absolute. Not perfect, but close.
Can't wait until today's "popular," in style fragrances become the "smells like an old man" fragrances in a few years.
That is such a fantastic idea. I have TOO many fragrances yet can't contemplate getting rid of any of them. Let the testing begin.
Wow! You don't like S&R? At least I have the courage to post my own face.
The point I was trying to make is that care must be taken when using only words. Missing body language and tone of voice...
I've had A*Men and all the flankers and Pure Havane is the best.
Since body language and tone of voice can never be included in these postings, it's very important to carefully consider your words and the impact they alone may have on others.
Too many smart a__ __ comments here. Believe it or not, some people were not on basenotes in 2011-12 or whatever year you want to use. If they're new, they can't possibly know what was discussed 3-4...
That was my point during the Creed discussion. Some basenoters indicated they would not buy Creed because they felt their history as presented by the company was fake.
I say to heck with all that...
I've completely fallen in love with Tom Ford's Amber Absolute. Unfortunately, it is discontinued. I have a decant but it won't last forever. So, I'm thinking about trying to recreate it and am...
Harkening back to the recent discussions of Creed's "fabricated" history, does this mean we now also turn against Montale?
OMG! Do you folks actually believe that companies don't exaggerate and lie? I really can't think of one thing currently being marketed that isn't exaggerated.
The point I'm trying to make is that...
IMHO, designer scents come from companies that do other things as well such as Ford and Armani.
Niche refers to fragrances coming from companies that do fragrances exclusively.
I do believe...
