Here it is...http://www.basenotes.net/threads/308190-CHANEL-quot-BOIS-NOIR-quot-on-eBay-Auction-starts-at-849-USD
This has me thinking...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMDhSZkBtFc
Check out this bad boy...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chanel-Egoiste-Cologne-Concentree-Spray-3-4-oz-100ml-No-Box-Factory-Sealed-RARE-/111659279517?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ff69649d
Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't a bottle of Chanel Bois Noir recently go for about $600.00?
Serge Noir by Serge Lutens.
Yes. It is the second generation. A very good juice. I have that bottle as well as the same year generation EDP (which is utterly amazing)
Perhaps a flirtation. Marriage, hmm - that would be my new love Heeley's Vetiver Veritas. ;')
Mine finally arrived the other day. It's nice and very close to how you described but it clearly reflects it's price. Somewhat synthetic, somewhat stereotypic designer in feel and no real...
I am. As a matter of fact I have tickets to the Celtic's game tonight and will stop in at Barney's before the game.
Where can this be purchased as the Barney's link brings a 404 message. The only place I have seen them is on eBay. I'm caving to the price as I really like L`incendiaire.
Can you be more articulate, specific?
It's a novelty and I must be careful where and when I don it, but I find Smoke for the Soul quite fun to wear.
Has anybody sampled?
Cartier has neither smoke nor leather.
Plum, prune, apricot.
Sold. I love and own them both.
I have a good two dozen vetiver centric frags. This would be a blind buty for me. Can anyone tell me what other vetiver it resembles?
Looking for a fragrance with Dried, dark fruits in the vein of L`incendiaire bySerge Lutens. Any suggestions?
Yup. Just what Bokaba said ^^^. Very light and uplifting,
Yes, it does. I have Serge Noir. They're different. I don't get the dark dried fruits nearly as much in Serge Noir.
Just got a sample of L`incendiaire Serge Lutens and I love it. What I don't love is the price. Anything even remotely similar? I get dark dried fruits, oud, incense, tar, resins.
What you're looking for is L`Artisan Parfumeur Vetiver from 1978.
I get no chocolate, cocoa or the like in Uomo, let alone a sickly chocolate.
Hmmm. Okay. Thanks.
Is Uomo Noir Edition the same juice as Valentino Uomo or has it been tweaked. There seems to be a lot of conflicting opinions.
I've been doing some reading and it seems the original crystal bottle was perceived as feminine - hence the change.
Has there been a definite answer as to whether this is the same juice as Valentino Uomo or is it different?
Hmmm. Okay, I'll keep researching.
Any idea which of these boxes contains the 1994 juice?
Thank you so much.
Does any fellow Basenoter know what the original 1994 GAP Grass bottle looks like?
Thank you. When I said more oomph, I was referring the subtleness of L'Eau de l'Artisan. It's really a polite skin scent.
I am looking for something very similar to L'Eau de l'Artisan but with a little more oomph. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Has anyone tried this yet?
Gendarme Green is the closest I have come to the smell of Irish Spring soap. On another note, Castile by Penhaligon is the closest I have come to the smell of Ivory soap.
I believe it's just a unique tester bottle.
Just got my bottle from Scentmonkey for $85 with coupon.
Could not agree more. Dior Homme Intense, I love. Dior Homme never felt right to me. But The Parfum. Oh, my! Here, the toned down iris, the toned up patchouli, musk and leather all make for a dark,...
Any suggestions as where to start for a masculine in the SoOud line?
I am going to guess. Amber.
Does anyone now which one of these is older?
Let us not forget the ever elusive Halston 101.
Thank you. I will begin my search.
Couldn't agree more. I'd also add Heeleys new Vetiver Veritas.
I'd like to try some classic Arabian perfumes but have no idea where to begin? Any suggestions?
I have to agree. This has quickly become one of my favorite vetivers. IMO,this is very similar in "tone" to L'artisan Vetiver (from 1978) not Coeur de Vétiver Sacré. It is now on sale for $130.00 at...
Yep, sniffed it the other day and it's been eviscerated ;'( Gonna check eBay for an older bottle.
My four (s)cents...Dark Aoud, Black Musk, Aoud and Pine and Moon Aoud.
Yes, saw it on the eBay listing.
Hmmm, just found this...
"Ok people, FYI. Pierre Montale does not exist.
Montale is split into 2 warring divisions. Montale Paris and Montale International Design. Montale Paris, is owned by a...
Montale Black Aoud (2014 Aoud Collection by Montale International Design) vs. Montale Paris Black Aoud. I was told they are different. Does anyone have information? Neal
Narciso Rodriguez for him musc collection
Back to Black is my favorite along with Incense Oud.
Have Narcisco Rodriguez Musc for Him EDP and love it.
I am looking for a straightforward musk alternative to Kiehls. Any ideas?
Something I read about the non-magnetic cap bottle being the old formulation? Any changes in XXV over the years?
Vintage Guerlain Heritage EDP. Just snagged a bottle of this from Spain. Oh so, animalic compared to the vintage EDT. Amazing juice.
New or used, full or partial.
Has anyone tried?
Thanks guys for all your help.
They are both very smooooooooooth and well blended.
I have not been able to find a sample of this anywhere. Is it a safe blind buy. I know. I know.
I get a strong cigarette ash from Parfumerie Generale's Coze.
Keep in mind the success of Aramis' Havana reissue - absolutely true to its original formulation.
All I can say is wow!
At Luckyscent now.
Perhaps this is a TF trend. Macy's now has Noir in an EDT concentration....
A follow up a few hours later. I stand by my initial impressions. The longevity with the oud is only 3-4 hours and then it becomes a mostly powdery skin scent. Still nice, but a reapplication might...
Tried this today and was very pleasantly surprised. A powdery, light oud, Very smooth and classy. An evening wear tuxedo, type scent.
I received my bottle today from Luckyscent. Could be my imagination but it seems smoother to my nose. I have the original medium blue label on my left hand, the black label on my left forearm, the...
Here's the thread...
A post a couple of hours ago on The Fragrance Guru Nation on Facebook. Said it was due for a November release.
Any info on this, anywhere?
I saw this in Sephora yesterday. Is it simply different packaging or is it a different juice?
With Resin Sacra, how long does the suede accord last. Does in carry throughout the fragrance?
Where to start in the Krigler line? Is there a consensus of their top 3?
Montale Aoud Pine.
Was the mint version just another similar summer flanker with little variation? Or was the mint unique at all?
Does anyone have any opinion, reviews on The Original Fragrance by Cellmen Switzerland?
Any feedback, reviews on Aoud Samarkand?
Does anyone know what the packaging of the 1998-1999 first run Gucci Envy for men looked like?
Bottom one is from the 1980's.
Oh, and lest I forget the impossible to find Halston 101.
Aoud & Pine by Montale. Just blind bought this and I couldn't be happier. A very refined (surprisingly for Montale) pine scent with an apple and pepper opening. Really happy I snagged a bottle of...
There is absolutely nothing about Chanel Egoiste that could be described as smelling really bad.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Forget about the vetiver in the name, Coeur de Vétiver Sacré is all about dried fruits (apricot) and black tea. Take one part from another L'artisan Parfumeur creation, Tea for Two and one part...
I have and love Dark Aoud, Moon Aoud and Dark Musk. This one seems to be getting some great reviews. We'll see ;')
