Re: Fragrances that "WOW" you recently?

On my 2nd bottle now. The first one I had was some 7-8 years ago and it was so hard to find it again. Thankfully found it a few months back. Super happy...linear but sophisticated imo.

  2. Re: Terre D'Hermès parfum: four seasons or not.

I find it wearable all the year round. There are very few frags that project the way TDH does in summers too.

Re: What is your vacation fragrance?

Will choose depending upon the place of visit. But light, easy to wear and not too cloying frags will be my pick.

Aventus (or any clone), Bvlgari Aqva, ADG Profumo, some decants etc etc

    ...
  5. Re: Slim down the collection while it is still small :)

Tried it a couple of times. Sold almost 10-12 niche and designer fragrances an year back but bought decants of 30ml to 50ml of a few recommendations, won a few in raffles and then bought some more....
  6. Please recommend me some woody frags with less sweet for warm seasons

I find Nicolai Patchouli intense to be too cloying for warm weather. Imo it's more of a fall/winter frag. Opinions may vary...

    Re: razor burn/ingrown hairs

If I could summarize and add some of my thoughts :
    1. Take a few days break and let your skin heal.
    2. Invest in a decent wet shaving kit. You may look at Proraso kit to begin with. Includes a...

Is Cedrat Boise a safe blind buy?

On a stand alone basis it may be a good buy but nowhere near the original. This is black currant centric as compared to pineapple in Aventus.

I heard of longevity issues too in the newer batches...

    Fragrances staining my clothes

I wear an undershirt (vest) too and I do spray on my formal shirts. Barring 1-2 times, I have not had any issues in last 12-13 years.

    So, I have a few suggestions :

Spray at a distance of min...

    Re: Why reformulations?

Govt regulations on some of the ingredients or raw materials could be one reason. Cost cutting and increasing on profit margins could be another.

Thirdly, once in a while if a frag house has a new...

    Re: Best Fragrance For Teenager

I started off with Brut as a teenager. Then moved to Nautica Voyage, Bvlgari Aqva, Joop PH, PR Ultraviolet Man.

From performance point and pricing you can't go wrong with any of them.

  14. Re: Creed Viking, does it has any similarities with Fougere Royale by Houbigant?

Found Viking little minty when I sniffed it but don't get any mint in FR.

Re: The Dunhill Desires For Men

Only tried Dunhill Red some 12 years back. Liked it very much. So Much so that bought another retail after the first got over.

Moved on to other stuff and didn't care much...but it's worth...

If you could rename a fragrance!

At times we feel that a particular fragrance could have a more apt name basis the notes we decipher than what the manufacturer has named.

I would like to rename Bond No 9 Riverside Drive to...

Re: Had 2 insults on my Tom Ford Noir so far

Totally agree on the statistics. This might be a scenario universally as well.

I largely wear the originals and don't go in for clones but with Aventus I tried Armaf CDNIM and found it very close...

Re: Talk me in or out of Fougre Royale

  22. Trying to Last Fragrance longer with Escentric Molecule 01 ?

I beg to differ on this. The molecular structure of ISO ESuper itself helps in binding the molecules of fragrance it's layered with. In most of the Citrusy fragrances it is thus used widely. This is...
  23. Re: Trying to Last Fragrance longer with Escentric Molecule 01 ?

Moisturizer does help bind the molecules better. Go for scent less ones.

Iso e super can be had online or at any store selling fragrance raw materials etc etc. Am not sure if it helps since I...
