Bvlgari Man :coolold:
He complements Robes08 style. Both fantastic reviewers
Nice scent for sure and quality too . Agreed, it's all about the florals in this one.
Xerjoff 1861 :coolold: ... Boom
Pure Havane but admittedly Pure Malt is pretty damn good juice too
A vote for Bvlgari Black
It's just so unique, cutting edge and fantastic presentation
Yep Neroli Portofino.
Excellent quality, great longevity and modern smelling Neroli. Well worth the sticker price
It's sunshine in a bottle.
I guess it's like looking behind the curtain at a magic show. Once you've seen how the trick is done ... It's ruined
Still enjoying the performance
L 'Eau d'Issey Summer 2012
Virgin Island Water
Paul Smith Story
I will add:
D2 Potion - like a sappy grove of fir trees
Paul Smith Story - like the inside of a humid greenhouse
To me Terre de Hermes invokes rain on hot desert rocks
Armani Code travel spray that came with deodorant
Gucci Pour Homme I &II ... heavy glass and beautiful in its simplicity
Ambre Baldessarini is pretty damn heavy too
Yep. It would have to be this
I like both. I can't pick because both are great. Depends on the mood for the day & weather. If I can't decide I will throw on M7 Fresh ... Boom
Both angles are covered right there :coolold:
Mugler IceMen & Cologne
L'Eau d'Issey Summer Flankers
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
Creed's Royal Oud &Aventus
Guerlain Homme Intense
I will buy them when I come across them at the discounters. I find the Bvlgari's accurate scent wise and tend to linger for awhile
Joop Splash. It's melon overtop an aquatic base
It can be found cheap at Wal-Mart
Creed's Royal Oud
I've been wanting this one for a while now. Should make its way into the Spring/Summer rotation just nicely
Creed's Royal Oud would fit the bill just nicely :coolold:
I've seen Wolfthorn cologne in the store before. It smells pretty good
I voted for 2012. I want to try L'Eau Bleu. It's definitely on my radar screen that's for certain
I blind bought a Hermes fragrance at a major discount outlet here in Canada , opened it up, sprayed it, didn't like it and tried to return it. They told me once it is opened they can't sell it...
Never tried this but it reminded me of Polo Extreme Sport I used to wear in the 90's. That one was an awesome pepper bomb. I quite miss it
I often wonder, once it all hits the same air, can anyone tell wether or not it's designer or niche, cheap or pricey?
I agree, I think boozy is referring to the overall essence of a libation, meaning you can't really pin-point it but it has that impression
A lot of it starts from the power of suggestion and...
Guerlain Homme L 'Eau :coolold:
It's like Boss Bottled went out for the night drinking Whiskey & smoked tobacco till the cows came home
It's got a fresh vibe to it. It reminds me of dryer sheets.
It's a subtle spice kinda scent leaning towards cinnamon. The colour of the bottle is very appropriate as the scent relates to red very...
2 Montales :coolold:
It would be Creed's Royal Oud :coolold:
It has me at Splendid, plus woods is in the title.
Looking forward to trying this
Another nod towards Fahrenheit. Very timeless :coolold:
And I will add Guerlain Vetiver into the mix
I would like to recommend Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino
It's sunshine in a bottle. Excellent longevity too :coolold:
I used to think Guerlain Vetiver smelled dated when I first came across it along my fragrance journey, but now I do not perceive it as dated.
All 80's fragrances and earlier I perceive as dated
Guerlain Homme Intense
I think some are great quality and mimic the scent quite well. Well worth pursuing if you really enjoy the scent. Although I do find them quite pricey for what they are actually doing.
One I have...
Awesome sample picks there.
I'm sure you will find some gems in there to your liking.
It would be great if you let us know which ones you end up favouring and if you plan on pursuing any of...
Explore the Dior House. Quality juices
If you like Gucci Pour Homme , I think you will enjoy the smokiness off M7 vintage
Yves St. Laurent's Jazz
Bond's Fire Island :coolold:
Smells like summer to me
Just picked up Bond's Fire Island for $80 @ Winner's :coolold:
It feels like I just scored
Pure Havane
Way to finish up strong. Always hate to see someone leave this great hobby
Good luck to you
The one you found is very citrusy on top and heavy tobacco compared to the new formulation. Cool looking bottle :coolold:
The newer one seems to focus more on the rooty vetiver
Michael Jordan Legend :coolold: but I find Thierry Mugler does the coffee vibe the best
Happy Birthday :birthdays:
Enjoy your day and the Poivre
Well that really sucks. He doesn't ship to Canada. That counts me out
SOTE: Hermes Concentre D' Orange Verte
I respect the hell out of Angel as a perfume enthusiast, regardless of orientation. It's a great, complex scent and that's an understatement. Personally, I wear Angel Liquer. It's a fantastic, honey...
I find Orange Concentree more interesting as nice as an orange Sanguine is.
OC has a nice leather touch to it in the dry down
Mugler's B*Men dry down is heavenly :coolold:
I love the tobacco/caramel combo of Herrera For Men
Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors
Yes, Cape Heartache
This captures it perfectly
Carolina Herrera For Men is a great sweet tobacco scent. Along the lines of the tobacco in Versace's The Dreamer
Agree, look no further than the venerable classic ... Polo Blue
Givenchy Play Intense
Pure Coffee has the woodiest dry-down of the Muglers
It's really quite a pleasant woody scent. It's subtle but I get a nice fir balsam vibe from it.
Diesel Plus Plus
A*Men - preventative measure for reformulation

6) Overall rating - 9
Went in on the Fragrance Bros split of Parfume de Marly's Herod.
It will be a blind buy but it sounds like the best parts of Tobacco Vanille
Five O 'Clock Gingembre and Je De Peau
Yes, Borneo 1834 is exactly what your looking for IMO.
Get a sample for sure and you will be right on track
Awesome, awesome dry down :coolold:
Cusson's Imperial Leather
She likes roses so I thought about Black Aoud but its hot here today so I wanted something to be a little lighter and more comfortable so I chose the middle ground and I am wearing Back in Black. It...
Creed's Virgin Island Water
I can't be without VIW for the summer. My decant ran out so I went FB so I will never run out of this magical elixir juice
Probably Caron Pour Homme
Awesome buy. Enjoy
Is this a blind buy for you?
SOTD: Ch Men
I have never smelled it but I read recently in the comfort scent thread where someone compared Zirh to 7 Up. I have been seeing it at Winners on the cheap lately if your interested
Very strange indeed. I even read with this picture he had changed his name and was now going by Manfred Mugler
My wife loves Angel on me. I have A*Men and the flankers but this one appeals to her the most when I wear it. She says it reminds her of fresh laundry.
Guys don't be hesitant to wear it. Light on...
Welcome back
It was great to read your perspective and I looking forward to your posts
I find Komodo reminiscent of Mugler Cologne
Me too, I got all giddy for a second there :cheesy:
Both are extremely wearable
I think the dry down is similar
Woods & mint. Two of the best ingredients combined together. What was not to like?
Now might be the opportune time to keep the ball rolling and visit the underrated Ice Men for an icy...
Diesel's Fuel For Life. Raspberry & Liquorice. The opposite of an aquatic. Sweet and delicious. Cool-a$$ bottle. Looks great on the shelf. Your in good hands with an Annick Mennardo creation
Pure Havane has a certain freshness to it
Black Aoud in the summer is fantastic. There is just something about rose in summer that just works.
I try to get away with only a half spray though.
Based on your likes listed, it doesn't seem like a good match, but you will never know unless you sample it
Mugler Cologne or L' Eau d'Issey Summer 2012
Such a fall from grace
Marquis, do you enjoy other vetiver fragrances?
#1 Serge Lutens Fille en Aguilles - pine
Gucci Pour Homme - cedar, campfire
Body Kouros :coolold:
Without a doubt, you are looking for Xerjoff 1861.
The most natural mint and citrus scented frag on the market. Great longevity for a citrus frag too
Expensive to say the least but...
Sounds nice and woody. Looking forward to sniffing it
I hope they improved the projection on this one though
Another nod towards Guerlain Homme Intense
Back to Black
L'Eau d'Issey Myake Pour Homme
Frederic Malle L'Eau d'Hiver
Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino and Mugler Cologne.
Both are non offensive, great longevity and extremely uplifting and fresh-clean
It has an awesome dry down. If males can wear Musc Ravageur they can wear L. They share the same chassis just different body.
Sketchy  but it is common for B*Men to be fetched at that low price.
Great bang for the buck
Noooooooooo, not my LIDGE.
Please, have mercy
