    Wrong thread?
    Absolu Instinct is Armani.
  81. Re: A newbie smells Parfums De Marly for the first time

Carlisle is a good one, yes.
And I'd add Oajan to the list.

Re: Latest Armani Acqua Di Gio Flanker!

    AdG Absolu is reformulated now.
    Original formulation was: B213438/1
    New current formulation is: B224052/1

Can't tell if the scent itself changed, too. I've got several original samples of AdG...
  83. Re: New Dior Fahrenheit EDT Formulation for 2019 # 12948/A

Thank you very much for the kind words!

I even wondered why those 2018 bottles in general are that much better than fe. 2016 ones though they both have the same formulation and I had the idea,...
  84. Re: Parfums De Marly - Layton - Longevity issues?

I've just looked after my current bottle - it's 905805 and that one is great and better than every 2018 one I had.
I also had 905804, and that one was excellent, too.

It would be really a shame...
  85. Re: New Dior Fahrenheit EDT Formulation for 2019 # 12948/A

It's just the Dior code - first digit is the year, the letter is the month and then followed by the week.

    fe. 8L03: 8 = 2018, L = November (M = December), 03 = 3rd week

    As I've said, I don't...
  86. Re: A newbie smells Parfums De Marly for the first time

Nice thread, thank you very much!

    Layton is really good!
If you want to buy a full bottle of Layton, I would avoid any 2018 bottle (batch code starts with "8"), as I had really big differences...
  87. Re: Recommendations for Fragrances with Incense note

+1 for This is Him and Just Rock!

Azzaro Visit may be worth a try, too - but don't know if that newer formulation remaining stock is as good as the older ones. If so, then it's a great bang for...
  88. Re: Tom Ford Ombre Leather 18 vs AdP Colonia Leather

I liked Ombre Leather but bought Parfums de Marly Godolphin instead, because I liked that one just more.
Godolphin is one of the most underrated PdM scents imho. Don't mind the flashy bottle, the...

Re: Backup bottles - Do you really need that?

Maybe it depends on the amount of your collection and the rotation of worn fragrances.

I'm currently downgrading my collection which contains ~50 different fragrances at the moment (with samples...
  90. Re: New Dior Fahrenheit EDT Formulation for 2019 # 12948/A

I'm in Germany, so we have other big Dior sellers here - and unfortunately they only have 2019 batches in stock.

The new formulation probably started in Februar 2019
    9A01 was still the older...

Re: La Nuit De L'Homme is back from the death?

    I've experienced the same.
And really can't understand those several recent "La Nuit is good again" posts.

I never was someone who found the 2011-mid 2015 bottles much worse than the original...

Re: Backup bottles - Do you really need that?

That's of course a very good reason to buy some backups pf a fragrance, you like, too, if it's going to be discontinued.

Re: Latest Armani Acqua Di Gio Flanker!

I now got AdG Profumo, AdG Absolu and AdG Absolu Instinct - incl. backup bottles of all three.

The new formulation of AdG Absolu is really nice. Yes, it's a "synthetic" smelling fragrance, but I...

Re: Backup bottles - Do you really need that?

    Absolutely.
And the best is to get the same batch as your beloved one.
Learned that lessons the hard way and I know how frustrating it is when you just can't get that scent anymore.
  95. Re: Parfums de Marly Kalan - new Fragrance for 2019

Finally I got a sample of Kalan.

I sniffed at the sprayer and - come on! - it instantly reminded me of BR540.

I really thought, that probably all the BR540 talk was just because of the red...

    Re: Alternatives to Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb

    I like Spicebomb, it's a nice fragrance.
But after having sniffed Spicebomb and Bvlgari Man in Black All Blacks (limited edition) side by side on each hand I have to say that I much prefer the...
  97. Re: Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne - Gaining Popularity?

It's a nice scent and I like it more than the new Cool.
And yes, it's one of the best cheapies out there for summer.
I would grab it at discount prices while they are in stock.

    And I strongly...
  98. Re: Parfums De Marly - Layton - Longevity issues?

Firstly I want to say, that I really really like Layton!
    It's a fantastic scent - if it's done right!

I have 2017 bottles and had several 2018 bottles.

The 2018 ones were just horrible. Every...

    Re: Opium Pour Homme difference

On the German Parfumo forum, there was a similar thread - just 2013 and 2018 bottles.

I've got a 2007 one and smelled the newer ones from time to time over the last years and always had the...
  100. Re: Midnight in Paris? Wasn't worth the hype for me at all!

I sampled it several times, was just an "ok" scent for me and I never bought it, though here in Germany there were many greymarket discounters who had it very cheap.
    But I don't buy a fragrance...
