I have tons of bottles but only one backup of Pure Malt just because :)
Gucci Nobile, Vintage Polo green, Vintage Drakkar noir, Vintage Bel ami
Snagged one as well, good feedback only thing I hate is the fact it's from New York which always hits me as fake frag Capitol of the world. The perfect feedback sucked me in. Fingers crossed. :)
Dior with this specific bunch
Too many to count really, quite a few are very unique and have nothing similar.
I like them all but so far Kyoto and Jaisalmer were first, the others will follow. I see luckyscent has a pack with all of them.
Low month bought a new house so only picked up Jaisalmer and Kyoto which I have wanted for awhile.
I do have the rereleases of Ananas Fizz and Cote D'Amour preordered through Luckyscent but they...
Didn't care for the vintage much, nice but just smelled..... old. I dunno like some of the older ones I have, good stuff but rarely anything I would wear and not very interesting.
Maybe the new...
Ok sprayed this on this past weekend at Barneys and at first it had a nose burn thing going on but was still very milky. After maybe 5 minutes I really had a strong vibe that I smelled it before and...
I wore this twice this week just because this post popped up man it's good stuff still in my top 3 I think. It just makes a wonderful aura of fragrance around you, manly, gorgeous but not annoying or...
I have to say that these 3 have the most OUD smell I have ever seen out of anything. Talking like my real oud samples that are segregated from other scents the pure oils in tiny vials. These are...
Most of my collection, thanks for being enablers!
Finding Basenotes let me mentally push beyond my notions that more than 5 colognes was crazy talk.
Nothing I have smelled so far!
I am not sure that if it was all combined into one smell that it would be very good. It's the different notes you get from that plate of food that makes it so good,...
I only have red aoud, blue amber and greyland but red aoud really stands out to me as something very unique. I have smelled less than 20 samples total they have a huge amount. Oh I forgot Taj, I have...
Absolutely do here, I spray them on backpacks, microfiber towels etc, it seems like if I have some sprayed on stuff in the room I am in that I smell it in a different way. Plus sometimes I already...
I would also say oud at the moment but in addition to that, most of the high end places I go to are tending to blur the lines of Masculine and Feminine and move into the Unisex area on almos...
I think you are on target with your thought process.
As I smell more and more niche I am drawn to the more "stinky" or "interesting" smells that are not necessarily more wearable for me in public....
Have both, love both but I would say that Jaipur is more work friendly if that matters. Eau Sauvage is a POWERHOUSE and Jaipur is very subdued and classic and warm.
The only one I haven't sniffed is Uden so I went with Royal Oud, just such wonderful radiance from this one and I just don't really get the oud. Definitely one of my favorite Creeds.
I was hoping not to like this as the oud note seems to be invading my wardrobe bit by bit. I have to say it's nice, but I keep thinking that I have smelled something along the lines of this before.
The seatbelt in my car has been layered about 500x times since 2003 when it was new and it smells amazing.
It could totally be it's own scent by now haha.
I do layer a few frags here and there...
Eau Sauvage Parfum also, this stuff just rings totally Niche to me. It's extremely potent juice, love it.
Ok but seriously maybe Aventus or Invasion Barbare
I can print you up a fancy label for $900 extra, and you'll save a bundle!!! :)
I am somewhere in the 130-140 range of bottles right now, I never really plan on running out of very many of them. I do spray liberally and sometimes I will just spray some in the room on a...
MFK Lumiere Noir
Quick pic from my IPhone not sure if this will work. Just put together a larger storage cabinet mostly empty boxes on bottom with a few backups.
Eq sideways, better pics later. :)
Reminds me of Bleeker street
saw a few Midnight in Paris sets, Jazz, Hugo boss number 1, Gucci Guilty , I think that's about it for anything I haven't seen before. TJmaxx in Vegas. We have several, there's one more I like to...
Sycamore and Coromandel are the two I ended up buying over a few months testing.
Smells much like Agar musk from Ramon monegal. It's weaker and the agar fades fast and it gets a bit floral.
Totally different on drydown sweet floral and musky wood, monegal stays potent with...
it's not stinky at least to me, works fine for office work. Has a nice sillage that's interesting not annoying.
Same batch as Starship here, awesome stuff. Very little rose if any and pretty much same as my 1ml from 2009, super potent. I had to segregate the vial itself in a small Tupperware as its smelling up...
TJmaxx : Versace Dreamer, Hugo Boss no 1, VC&A Midnight In Paris
Puredistance M, that will probably blow the budget but I would love Xerjoff Kobe or Divine L’homme de coeur.
Might have to prioritize, either 2-3 or just 1 real expensive one. sigh
Spent all day and I mean ALL day with this bad boy on, wonderful transformation this thing goes through wow.
Started off so thick and rich and smokey, frankincense, fruits, smoke mmmm heavenly...
Amouage Tribute Attar, microscopic dose and still I am smelling up the entire house mmmmmm
Got a sample of this in a split as a bonus, only spent about 10 minutes with it because we were about to go to some friends house and it was heavy duty.
At first blast I smelled like a jar of...
I don't miss the cap. It's too pretty with the gold lines and tassel to throw in my bag So I just decant into 3ml sprayers.
Agonist has some amazing bottles and I love some of the Opulent Sheik ones also.
Some others I like Tom Ford, Creed, Amouage are nice.
Didn't care for Rokka, some sour note I didn't care for. Batucada was ok and I did pick up Seville very nice.
Also can't believe I never sniffed the CDG incense series, boy I am in love with...
Rokka by Antonia's Flowers
Rokka bursts forth with citrus and violet, has middle notes of ancient cedar, tree moss, nutmeg and Tonka bean, then coats...
That's awesome lol
Malle Vetiver extraordinaire at Barney's also and could try eau Sauvage parfum at dior ask at Barney's they have many lines with some vetiver
Hermessence Vetiver Tonka
I like it, still want to get my hands on homme wild but it's not around in Vegas that I have seen yet.
Aventus also !
Wow, I have no idea. It would be interesting to log in all the note pyramids and see the numbers.
You can find them all over various sites under Fragrance Impressions Ltd.
Also when I was searching I came across these lol talk about counterfeit heaven...
I would say so :
Sounds pretty interesting to me.
Highly concentrated oil-based Extrait de Parfum in miniature roller bottle.
Produced by hand in small batches at the Nasomatto laboratory.
Drakkar noir, z-14, polo green
Bit late on this post but I love it.
Only tried a dozen or so but Red oud is addictive just have to be very light on the trigger
Anyone have a U.S. source or somewhere that ships it here yet?
Didn't see anything but samples on EBay so far
My SOTD's were all 10 knuckles and 4 up each arm, sniffed myself crazy! :) Mostly Guerlain/Dior and one CDG
Yes they do still have some. She just mentioned it while I was in there, I was in there a long time wife was getting makeup haha.
Don't like it, smells soapy or something to me.
How good my room smells right now from all the Guerlain, Dior and Barney's test strips I have in here???
Awesome day shopping at the Palazzo, hit up Barney's not many new sniffers but did smell amazing green from CDG pretty nice. Then hit Dior and Guerlain upstairs and ended up sniffing a TON in those....
Hoping to score some Puredistance M and Xerjoff Kobe.
Around 1985 Drakkar Noir always had 5-10 bottles of current designer scents until 2007 timeframe when I started dabbling in niche and other types of fragrances
Same here I have backed off to a single chest shot, it's just too potent outside on the wrists. I smell like a tobacco humidor coming down the hall with more than that.
I like it, never smelled just pure Vetiver or anything but I have a LOT of frags that have some vetiver in them.
I was thinking Puredistance M and something from Xerjoff and oops ran out already.........
No age, maybe light on the trigger, less is More!
Hmmm I will have to see if the Zara here in Vegas has the Zara man gold in the rectangle black bottle. I only compared the sprint in the gold cylinder that I have.
I have both, it's not even close very synthetic Zara with the super dry wood from Black XS norlimbanol nothing like Aventus.
Vague similarity that they both have pineapple in them maybe but noway...
I have both but the sprint has that superdry woody smell that gets on my nerves a bit, same woody smell as black xs. Someone on here told me what it was maybe Norlimbanol??
Smells ok but nothing...
Vetiver Fatal : Atelier
Just when I think that I can't possibly squeeze in another vetiver into my collection sheesh.
Love this stuff, it reminds me of vetiver tonka, less smokey but with a definite fresh boost from the...
I like the look, they spray like a beast also.
Coromandel is one of my faves to wear in the evening before bed, reading a book etc.
Very cozy smelling, probably in my top 10.
Hermes Eau de Orange Vert concentree
I have apom and lumiere and tried amyris this past week and was unimpressed.
The topnotes started out kind of ok but then it just smelled really synthetic and I was getting the dry woody...
Where's the leather?
I really just get weak a*men with less tar and less power really nothing much else.
3 sprays this morning and just not feeling the love here at all. I am really trying to...
I have a bunch of little 5ml glass bottles work great, stick one in a pocket for work or whatever to refresh, write on the side with marker and still comes off with some windex etc to reuse. I forget...
Stuff lasts like a beast on me even in Vegas heat.
I could smell is 24 hours later on my arm, watch out on fabric it's really on there. Sillage wasn't too bad I didn't fog anyone out but out in...
Bal d'afrique was similar to me, but even more so was Umbra from Ramon Monegal.
Notes from Umbra
Essence: Haitian Vetyver Root, Yugoslavian Tree Moss, Madagascan Black Pepper, Bourbon Geranium...
Amyris was preorder only when I stopped by last weekend, not sure when or if it's to be in stock
Perfumum fumidus - wet ashtray
Aventus is about the only frag in my collection that I have to wear maybe once a month only. My nose and I know many others get used to it very fast and I don't smell it after say 30 minutes. The...
No luck around Vegas, actually didn't find anyone who had even heard of it but that's not unusual.
Anyone spot this in the U.S. yet? Might call around Vegas today see if anyone has seen it.
Also one of the new Ramon Monegal scents smells very similar to these two, maybe somebody can chime in as to which. I think maybe Umbra?
Yesterday wife said I smelled like bug spray. First wearing of agar musk from Ramon monegal haha. She liked it inside but when it hit the Las Vegas heat it was a bit powerful.
Still love the...
Nothing remotely resembling each other from start to 5 hours later to me. Green, sweet, fig tree leaves and figs vs tangy pineapples apples and smoke..... noway
Nope, I think there will be plenty of stock unless they underproduce it for some reason.
I wore the hell out of some Z-14 in the 80's and still have a couple bottles one old one new. I don't get that from Italian Cypress, some similarity but not that close to me.
I have maybe 10 favorites out of my 100 ish that I wear a bit more than others but I really don't want a Signature scent.
I think Noir Epice, I had a sample from Barney's sprayed it on in the car and got some on the seatbelt. It lasted like 3 months in the Las Vegas heat on that seatbelt, smelled pretty good but sheesh...
Give Mark Birley Charles street a sniff if you haven't, I wear this more often than TL and it's very close.
You could look for online discounters $300+ dollar fragrances are in the $140 range online, you can research on here which are reputable. Also many people buy large amounts and decant, also several...
