  1. Re: Pound for pound (or dollar, euro, whatever) what scents offer the most value?

No argument here. For this thread I chose HM but Encre Noire is the gold standard "bargain" fragrance. It could be offered up as niche at $150 and no one would bat an eye (and people would probably...
  2. Re: Pound for pound (or dollar, euro, whatever) what scents offer the most value?

I'll have to look for that the next time I wear it. I've never noticed spearmint specifically, though I have picked up on a note that gives it a cool, breezy-air sort of feeling. Maybe it's the mint.
  3. Re: Pound for pound (or dollar, euro, whatever) what scents offer the most value?

I'd pick it up if I were you. For one, you're right--the EDT is much better. And secondly, it only costs $25 for a large bottle, $17 for a 50ml. At that price, if anything, you can just grab a bottle...
  4. Re: Stupid Question Time: Is YSL M7 Oud Absolu Repackaged M7?

Good to hear that at least Rive Gauche was handled well. I didn’t know that.

And as far as I’m concerned, M7 without the cherry cough syrup note just isn’t M7.
  5. Re: Pound for pound (or dollar, euro, whatever) what scents offer the most value?

There are about 7 fragrances I see as possessing about equal value regarding this question, and they really just come down to a matter of style and taste, but for the sake of the thread I'm going...

    Re: Modern Masculine Lavender Fragrance

The mint in the Carven is strong. I’d describe it as a mint fragrance first, lavender second.

The Rania J. is definitely more along the lines of what you’re after.
