it was quite impressive.
very unusual super sweet woody note,
actually it was flat but very pretty aroma.

with thick needle that you can cut to suck more oil.
but it may be hard to pour it all out of the syringe.
you can spray it out of the syringe to your hand or cloth .
oh, may be i missed that one out…
wanted to ask what about the age and grade of the wood used for this sandal project ?
you better stock up KHAO KALA as it seems to become a legend even before people start to put in on =)))
huge pics indicates the amount of emotions … happiness =)

oh yes, me too, i thought its the same thing=)
on other forum Ensar clarified that by comparing it to 2004 :
"Maroke LTD is the louder sister. 2004 was redder in both color and profile, with an...
I love white pepper note that I experienced in decent burmese and borneo oils...
well , if you go to Saudi and do a bit of search in the oud market you can find some decent/pure oils, sure nothing spectacular.
i mean there are literally thousands of companies there.
well they started in 1852 =))) so what we take as a beginning ??? =)))
i think thaqeel back then was far more superior then so called 1st batch that we all know =)
oh yes, by tons i meant oil not...
well the one ASAQ offer online for 320$ may be the animalic version.
however you never know what you get =)
you may consider contacting the world in scents as he got ASAQ deer musk,
may be he can...
my dear friends I wanted to share few thoughts on the role of oud oil (and other perfume oils and incense too) in our life…
is it something something insignificant or the other way round???
from very little that i know ASAQ distill only few oils and mainly they resell ouds that they buy in tons =)
i think more appropriate to compare ASAQ to ARABIAN OUD or AJMAL as they operate in one...
comparing ASAQ and ENSAR OUD its a bit like comparing... hmmmm…
Russian and French cuisine =))))
some may tell you that there is nothing to compare as ENSAR ouds are of a different...
i think it is one of those mysterious names =)))
some tells you that it simply means aged Indian oud.
some says it is the name of mountains in India.
one person who sell oud told me...
i don't think that i am the experienced one =) some might contribute much better, but i only sharing my thoughts =)
regarding meddle and high grade oils …
i think that every oud oil...
ASAQ musk ghazal comes in several grades, the cheapest one is a very soft and light, floral type, however the most expensive one that they offer is an animal, quite close to AJMAL AA.
oooh i seee,
i been looking for a long at the Sadeen blend , but then saw the banner on the right side =)
nice .. =)
i mean the piece it self..
looks fake =)))
agarwoodking is a thai producer, i visited his show room 2 times where 2 of his daughters gave me some brief info …
they got a very large factory, as you can see in some of the pictures on his web...
theworldinscents looks cool and authentic, sure Taha knows better.
its good to get ASAQ customers to know AA ,
but i doubt that AA customers will enjoy most of ASAQ oils =)))
some may disagree ...
yes true, coconut coal is nice, but very hard to get it really hot. i tried with no good results...
so to me KZ burner is the absolute winner.
oh, yes, i saw a Chinese person and he has that very...
not sure about the "Ancient" one =)
KZ please join =)))
everything is possible in theory =)
you can even try to distill 100g of chips, to get 0.1ml =)))
however if we keep in mind that sometimes 10-15 kg gives 3-6ml or even less then it is...
i also i think , with my little knowledge, that it first has been drilled/infected at the early age, lets say 10-20 years old. then more and moreee.
so some of the resin in there is incredibly...
i believe 60 years old tree Ensar used was drilled only, not inoculated.
sure he knows better.
also important to mention ( and its been mentioned many times here i believe )
that age of a tree is not vital, but the maturity of infection.
for instance tree can be 100 years old but with no...
i think if you look all the videos that are in Yaqoob description it should cover all you questions.
I just tested some in one of the shops,
Cost per kilo was something around 2000$
if I am not mistaken.
Sure not sinking, slim, dark pieces some are very well resinated.
Today I tested some ShriLankan wood.
Very nice indeeed.
It has super dark and deep scent with a cinnamony base and some spices. Almost no sweetness but that dark, resinous note is super addictive....
Go for Sultani.
That is indeed the cheapest oud offered at ensar.com
Just imagine you will have sinking essential oil on your hand...
Open the cup and gently twist it touching the walls of the vial, the oil should go down the stick applicator.
Good idea might be to find few people who share the same interest and order samples together.
Lets say 3 people buy 3 samples and share it.
This way you only spend 30-50$ and try 3 oils.
Yes... if we talk samples then it is 30$ fragrance.
0.3ml can last a month easily, specially for a beginner.
lets say 30 tiny swipes or 15 proper swipes.
its like 1-2 $ per swipe which is...
To me kifl has a touch of that wet, plumy, resinous pipe tobacco
which tobacco you after?
Fresh tobacco leave?
Burned tobacco?again pipe? Cigarete?
or may be sniffing tobacco?
i am afraid that experiments with drop is a must for a blender,
this very experiment can answer the questions you asking =)))
is it mukhallat??? =)
i can expect all those notes from an oud oil, no problem =)))
oh yes, its mukhallat section =)
ooops, pooish notes detected …. =)
strange , as to me dhul kifl its all about resinous fruits and tobacco. nothing medicinal at all.
good to hear,
what type of bottles you expecting?
agarwoodindonesia … welcome back,
any good news?
any new distillation technics to share?
had a drop of oud yaqoob today,
oooh, i really liked it =)
i believe it really stands out of other organic ouds that Ensar offering at the moment.
in opening there are some almost papua darkness,...
i would use only 100% pure, organic, yemeni sidr honey=)))
no yusuf and yaqub still available i believe ….
try to drop him an email with your request … may be he have some unreleased spare ouds =)
i think best would be to buy 0.3ml samples and decide which one u like the most,
can get samples from others as well ...
good to see oud thinkers back =)))
yes i wanted to say that i myself love to read reviews only when i tried the oil…
if not i feel jealous =)))
no, no, just kidding=)))
yes good, but its just vintage oils.
i wana see how those 2ml bottles look like =)
just spoken with them,
they based in bombay, india and yemen.
currently no branches in uk.
they offer 3 types of oud, which are from
assam, burma and cambodia.
assam produced by them, the...
if you have spare pipette use it, if not just pour by the drops,
lets say 4 drops of sandalwood, 3 of oud, 0.5 of misk, 0,25 of rose =)
its always good to read first,
what goes to the base, middle and top …
what blends well together.
then you should experiment with very tiny amounts ,
so you won't spoil nice oils …
Kyara Zen's Cambodi???
go for incense royale, it has good percentage of oud in there and it is as you like … strong with a lot of silage =)))))
oh thats a problem, all my white thobes are spoiled with oud
most ouds from ASAQ , Alhamdulillah.
thaqeel ( kanam ) , kyara, crassna , kalakasi 80 and 150, some prepacked.
the problem is that they usually share only the name,
so many different batches.
been talking with a friend…
soon just to sniff oud once you will have to pay =)
don't even think to have a swipe of it…. it gona cost you a boooomb =)
nice to see you back =)))))
been wearing sticky cambodian jam in the morning and caramely, plumy hindi all evening =)))
now having baklava with tea and caramel dry down =))))
oh, i can not b sure, to me no,
but may b to some yes.
also as i said batches may vary … so its hard , it might be totally different now.
yes, oud Yusuf definitely will suit a lady ,
sweet siam as well i think.
no mentol , may be tiny touch of earthiness.
yes … it will suit OUD LADY =)
may be a bit to heavy for a normal lady.
yes , some people here tested their ouds, you may find reviews , they use to be called
asia forestry , al dar is their new web site.
do you want 100% pure oud ?
custom distilled ?
or any good smelling oud?
whats your budget ?
oh yes, i tested it in one of their branches in Saudi Arabia ,
to the the best of my knowledge it is the top quality offered by this brand.
It smells pure to my nose , which was a surprise knowing...
go for borneo…
its just there is not a large collection of borneos available at the moment =)
i liked sultan borneo the most from oudyssee,
it is not classical borneo, well i mean not like borneos offered by Agaraura or Ensar.
it is much heavier and more darker in its scent profile....
look if sparky strongly suggesting Brut then i would take his word of it… even though i haven't tried it. but caramel note in hindis is def one of the best things you can imagine.
for those who are new i would recommend Sweet Siam even though i have not tested it yet =)
from description and price i can be sure that you can not go wrong with that…
i personally started with...
ooooh yes… i love some of the blends by Sultanpasha.
my absolute favourite is shadee blend, which is nothing else but
royal wedding scent that takes you far away from all this nonsense around you...
subitism heater + slice of green kyara =))))
mine 1ml of KK in uk already, should get it soon...
oh, thats great to hear...
finally i think i found a person who are placing the order so am getting 1ml of KK, if God will...
good to see Ensar does that, i only wish they find more legends like...
no problem at all , if i manage to get some , will share ...
its just like you give a swipe here and there ... nice to share good things =)
i would love to start with KK , as oils from Koh Kong are my absolute favourite ouds ...
common... 1g each ... who want ???
