Re: Joop!, Joop Jump! ...now what?

If you want a powerful, distinctive fragrance at a cheap price, look no further than Ulysee by Vickie Tiel.

    Re: Jean Desprez Versailles

Stu, please do. I just obtained a NIB bottle of this one and want to join in on a discussion about it and get opinions as well.

Most money I have ever spent on a single bottle.

    Re: Synthetic No. 5

L'Instant is doubtful to obtain classic status but the EDP may. It's overseas only and definitely worth checking out; it smells like the Guerlain classics of old.
  4. Re: Divorced 40-something needs babe magnet!

Jaipur or Boucheron, given your tastes. Class in a bottle. The EDT or EDP both work equally well and there is little difference between them. Like HM, excellent projection and longetivity.

Re: What's up with Jacques Fath YANG?

You're right in general, Giraffe, but I didn't do my research before buying this one blind and did not know it was a "tea" scent, which, in general, I abhor. I am all for giving frags a second...

    Re: Bazar - Christian Lacroix

I was very inexperienced at the time. It was well before I developed a 300+ bottle collection and didn't know Obsession fom GIT.

It was only after I started collecting seriously and developed my...

Poll: Re: Who is more macho? The anti-frags

Salvador Dali is pure evil in a bottle.

    This would be Satan's fragrance.

    Re: Nino Cerruti Pour Homme

One of my favorites. The only juice besides Patou that I bought extra bottles of for storage.

I found it at a perfume shop recently for about $35.00 and was really surprised. I thought this was a...

    Re: Bazar - Christian Lacroix

Acrid, harsh and synthetic. A major disappointment, particularly when I remember paying $90.00 for it several years ago. Bottle available.

    Re: Davidoff and Zino

Zino lovers unite! One of the finest fragrances I have ever smelled and always, always in my top 10 if not 5.

Relax is a wonderful scent but it very hard to find.
  12. Re: The 3 L'Occitane Eau de Parfums

I don't know these, but are they true EDPS with longer duration and projection from the rest?

I admire these scents but they are too weak for me.
  13. Re: Eau vs Concentré d'Orange Verte - discuss

There is none. They both disappear instantly, which is a huge problem with Hermes scents in general, particularly for the price.
  14. The Problem with Clive Christian Frags Is...

no, not that they are outrageously expensive, although that's certainly a consideration for potential buyers who are curious abut these scents and would love to try them but can't quite bring...

    Re: New West

New West is "distinctly" Aramis. To my nose, it has much in common with Tuscany and Forte AND the classic Havana. I bought a new bottle off ebay for five bucks--best...score...ever. Love it.

Re: Original Egoiste or D&G PH?

    Egoiste by far.

D & G, Nichole Miller for Men...somehow tobacco and lemon juice just do not work for me.
  18. Re: How to try Habit Rouge Edt, Edc and Edp?

I can't take the EDT. It's one of my very first frags as a teenager and I smelled it recently at an airport and realized how completely over the top it is. It's an important men's fragrance and...
  19. Re: Aigner Icedrops and Aigner In Leather Man Suede Edition.

I don't know these two but I'd be really interested in trying the Suede edition.

I bought a bottle of In Leather and couldn't take it. While some describe it as a "pure leather," it smelled...

    Re: Iceberg Twice -- Supurb!

Very nice frag at a good price, and the best, by far, from this house. Some may find it a little sweet though.

Re: Just won GIT on ebay for $51

My best ebay score: a NIB 1.7 ounce bottle of Aramis New West for five dollars.

This is the self-proclaimed "skin scent..." not to be confused with a cologne, lol.
  24. Re: Testing Bois d Portugal currently...

The comparison to Divine L'Homme Sage is a good one. Throw in Patou while you're at it.

This is the ONLY Creed I own or wear.

    Re: Oscar for men

    Chene or Cherugi?

There's no bigger fan here than me of Cherugi. When it was released at Scentiments for $72.00 a bottle, I was first in line, and consider it one of the best deals in my collection.

    Chene, though,...
  30. Re: New fall fragrance, long-lasting, sillage, etc.?

Chene, if you can find it.
  31. Re: what should I wear to the "best male exotic dancer" contest?

To hell with the fragrance....I want pictures!!!
  32. Re: Every man should be equipped...with Equipage

Equipage is one of the all time greats, but like Narcus, I reluctantly traded it. Like many Hermes scents, its lasting power sucks and disappeared on me almost immediately.

    Rocabar is not much...
  33. Re: Quick vote: Floris Santal or Armani Code
