Got a great deal on this from Duty Free while in Europe.
Definitely a similar vibe to Ambre Narguile and Dolcelisir.
That was just a random picture I found online. But the tester I have of ressurextion comes with a different top, they changed them at some point. The two I received from Hautelook are exactly like...
Glad you like them! :)
Which ones did you get from X-Ray? And how are you liking them??
Back up bottles of X-Ray Profumo Resurrextion and Morphine arrived today :)
Found myself by Barney's and Bergdorf and did some shopping. I have to say, I was more or less disgusted by my experience in NYC Barney's. The few times I've visited and purchased something have...
I've stepped a bit away from Oliver Peoples for the moment. The two latest purchases were from Cartier and Mykita. Really impressed with both.
I'm a big fan of a few Oliver Peoples (although not the design that comes with this Byredo). I only prefer a few of their styles and I think 'Oliver Peoples West' is a big let down. But I haven't...
In regards to international orders only Canada and Australia are mentioned:
Q: What are the international shipping rates?
A: Shipping rates start at $10.95 for Canada and $22.95 for Australia....
I tried them all at one point but the only two that resonated with me were Morphine and Resurrextion. I paid full price for Morphine and got a tester of Resurrextion for a good deal on Ebay. But...
All six of the original collection (I believe) are on sale for $89. I'm a big fan of Morphine and Resurrextion, got back ups of both. Both are no longer available at Barneys.com it seems and a new...
Bump, removed sold.
Lucky you :). Wish my skin did the same. I usually pick up pure malt from the scarf I'm wearing.
Wear it a few times if you can. I've had it on for 3 or 4 days and my mind has somewhat changed, to be honest. I'm starting to enjoy it more but for me I could instantly recognize A*Men in this...
On my skin the dry-down (which can begin probably an hour after applying) screams A*Men. Missing a tar note doesn't negate the comparison; Pure Leather is similar in its dry down as well, and it's...
Just got it today at Macy's. Put some on my forearm and I'm trying to figure out how I feel about it. I've tried most of what Mugler offers, I currently own Pure Havane, Malt, Coffee and A*Men and...
Considering it was around the same price a year ago, this is a much better deal with the low ruble :)
I noticed the same. The large bottle of L'homme was going for around $50 and a day or so after I purchased mine, the remaining bottle was listed at over $70.
That's probably the best description. They're somewhat simple offerings but they're nice. Problem is, when you get as far into 'fragrances' as most on this forum are, Jo Malone is inevitably...
I have to be honest and say I mistook the LP. No. 9 for the men's, but I'll take the women's and give someone a nice gift :).
Thank you :). I had my fingers crossed for another sample of Exceptional...because, I am :)
Wasn't included :(
Showed up today:
Mine showed up today as well. Two out of three pretty much full, the L'Homme was the worst, I'd say 90-95%. Still, not bad for about $50.
I was doing so well not buying more fragrances for about a month or so and this pulled me back in. Thanks a lot guys. Got a back up of L'Homme, 6.7oz, back up of Eau Sauvage Parfum, and...
No worries. I enjoyed reading your exchange but was just a bit confused by that last part :).
Thanks for the explanation. I completely agree that the fragrance aesthetic of bond no 9 is quite similar to designer offerings (or Creed to some extent), thus rather banal. In regards to assigning...
I don't really see the connection you're making, claiming it's aesthetic is designer yet it's postmodern. What, if I may ask, criteria are you going by?
Bond No. 9 will always be associated with a bad memory for me. The first time I purchased a 'niche' fragrance was from Bond no. 9 and it was before I even know the existence of niche fragrances. ...
It's a good coupon, but unfortunately they won't give you free shipping as you can't combine coupons and for those of us in NY, we undoubtedly have to pay tax :(.
Sunglasses (then again, how many pairs make a collection?)
Yup, this was my favorite of their offerings. The only other Diptyque I own is Volutes.
Yup, all good over here, great service this time around it seems.
I received mine today as well. But I won't be home to check on it until tomorrow night. I'll try to give an update then.
Package seems to have been sent. Delivery is for Monday january 12. Looking forward to getting it.
Received an e-mail: A package was shipped to you on 01/09/2015 via U.S. Postal Service Priority
2 DAY Mail, Small Flat Rate Box to the following address:
Trying to track the package produces no...
Yea, I picked up Cuirelle, but I don't have high hopes for actually getting it :).
I've now ordered three fragrances from Lilydirect in two separate orders. Creed VIW tester, DHI (5oz), and Varvatos Vintage tester. My only issue with the two orders I placed was the packing for...
Try their website: http://www.cybercucina.com/pp/L-Erbolario-Lodi/Meharees-Acqua-Di-Profumo-Eau-De-Parfum-LErbolario-Lodi/572/
Seems in stock at the moment.
Thank you :)
Velvet Desert Oud by Dolce & Gabbana
Yup, and that was also the price I saw when I was there before June of 2014.
Probably from me when I was there last year. When the ruble was around 30-33 to a dollar, it cost 15,000 rubles (or about $455-$500).
They do adjust their prices to take inflation into account. There is no MFK store in GUM, it's sold in Articoli, which is owned by Bosco (http://www.bosco.ru/en/articoli/).
Where did the 30% off come from, if you don't mind sharing?
Edit: Two more just showed up.
Fragrance Republic 03 and 08:
Welcome! I got 08 and 03 :).
Wasn't to my liking but I should have gotten a sample, now that I think about it. Hope you enjoy it though.
They had a tester out. But I didn't ask about stock. I'd give them a call tomorrow and see what's available.
Tried them all today at MiN NY, only one I enjoyed was Wild Rose Aoud but it was unoriginal, good, but unoriginal.
Just got my first order from them today. I ordered a new bottle of Dior Homme Intense and a tester of Varvatos Vintage. The Dior was perfectly fine, but the tester box was beaten up during transit....
A highly recommended store. Was just there today and it's a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with a nice selection. They don't offer discounts, from what I know, but they at times do...
I did receive an e-mail about it. But you can check your 'wallet' when you log into your paypal account and it should have a few offers, if this one is there then it's available to you.
.5oz are $22 each
2.5oz are $59 each
Also, for some paypal has a $20 off with a purchase of $100 or more, so I was able to get 2 75ml bottles for $98. They aren't the greatest, but for $49 each,...
I've contemplated a purchase in the past, but after reading all of this, I don't think I'm inclined to give them my business.
And for those that don't think your experiences matter, they really do...
Only happened once so far, LIDGE.
Once I hit 100+ I started to calm down and really think about what I was getting and whether it was/is worth it. I'll probably always be downsizing here and there as my tastes change, but I've begun...
The price I quoted was before the recent ruble plunge. Interestingly, Guerlain is priced similarly to the the US, and they are a better deal as there is no sales tax in Russia. The market in Russia...
Only made two purchases, came out to a little over $500.
If you're talking about the 'gum' in the name, it's an acronym for 'Main Universal Store'. There's also a 'TsUM' or 'Central Universal Store'. I tried it when I was in Moscow, it's nice, but it's...
Spicebomb Eau Fraiche
I actually ordered a 50ml bottle of D600 from an Israeli seller on ebay, but I ordered a tester. It was sealed up in so much bubble wrap that you could wrap a full grown human being in it a few...
Probably around 110 full bottles, ranging from 30ml to 250ml. I've been into this hobby for about two years now, and I'm starting to pull back. There were months that I'd have ten or more...
Back when I had a 'signature scent', as in using the same scent on a daily basis until the bottle was finished, a 100ml bottle would last anywhere from 1-3 months.
Yea, I got Mahogany Woods in early September when it first came out. It reminded me of Pure Wood when I first tried it, but having tried both today (got another Pure Wood sample with my Pure Coffee...
Just received A*Men Pure Coffee
As mentioned, Eau Fraiche for Spicebomb means mostly the same thing as the original Spicebomb with some citrus added in to 'brighten' or 'freshen' the overall scent. I have the original but I liked...
When I visited Vegas, about a year and a half ago, I walked away with a bunch of samples, specifically from the Hermes boutique(s), Tom Ford, and Barney's.
Might just be me but Mahogany Woods actually reminded me of A*Men Pure Wood.
Had a very productive vacation in Germany and managed to pick up a few things:
It's not controversial, but some are treating it as if they live in an ideal world, while others are happy to take advantage of good fortune.
The statement in question did that all on its own. I simply provided some context in addition. The rest of your post contains nothing of worth to address, thanks.
I provided one example to show the preposterous nature of a previously made statement. I'm not using it as a template for anyone, simply as an example of the multitude of situations that can be...
You paint a black and white picture, as many others here do as well, which I simply don't agree with. Outright theft, greed, dishonesty, and abuse are one matter. A company making a mistake and...
So, once more, to be clear, one party will refuse to do business with their customer because of a mistake said party made in the first place? Good luck to that business.
I've addressed this when I said that there are two parties to consider here. Unlike your ethics in a vacuum scenario.
And you can tiptoe around what you said, but it's clear as day. And I...
How does one 'fire the customer'? And, more so, how does one 'fire the customer' due to a mistake made originally by the business doing the 'firing'?
All you see is the original poster. Take some context into account and maybe the mere words you're seeing will make more sense. I'm advocating for them to do whatever they like, why? Because I...
Took words out of context and avoided questions? Sure did.
So you are the only one with a right to exercise their agency? Ethics in a vacuum don't mean much.
Understood, the other person's agency is a higher being's problem. How 'ethical' is...
I live in the real world, where ethics in business are little more than a slogan and hardly exercised as companies seek any way they can to earn the most profit in the shortest amount of time. At...
It's reality. Business ethics are an oxymoron.
I don't really see a reason for the making of this thread. If you got a free bottle, keep it and enjoy it. Maybe it's Creed's way of saying 'sorry' for the price increases they just went through. ...
It's EdT and it does come with a cap. I placed my order a while back, the deal has been around for a while now.
Living in NY I've shopped at Barney's at least three times, service was good enough but they were somewhat stingy with samples and their display is definitely sub-par, for both the men's and women's...
