Rien is a masterpiece.
Still amazed every time I spray it on.
And so are the people in a 1 mile radius around me the next few hours... ;-)
forget about the rest...
I love to say that when people ask me what I'm wearing. They usually think it's hilarious.
What Fahrenheit used to do for me, Chanel Cuir de Russie [EdP, Les Exclusifs] does now as well.
Leather base, flowers on top of it and a gasoline note [Fahrenheit] / aldehydes [CdR] that make me...
Coromandel > Sycomore > 31 Rue Cambon > Cuir de Russie > Bois des Iles
Sycomore > Allure Homme Sport > Platinum Egoiste
To me it's the best fragrance created in the past 25+ years.
My most used fragrance. I must have burned through 15 or more 100ml's.
The shaving balm and the shower gel are gorgeous too.
Guerlain Homme L'Eau. Discontinued which is a shame...
Bois d'Iris. I'm an iris junkie!!
Papyrus / patchouli. Non offensive and therefor office friendly for sure.
Rien / Fat Electrician / Tom of Finland are in my collection.
Rien is gorgeous: an oldschool powerhouse. Very addictive. Will buy that one again for sure.
Also can't wait to try out Rien Intense...
Pi by far.
I love most Guerlains, but Ideal was a big mistake...
Guerlain Homme Intense is a masterpiece.
Best of the series and on par with the best of the classic Guerlains.
Eau de Pizza Hut by Katie Puccrik is hilarious.
Here's a youtube link: Eau de Pizza Hut Review
Dior Dune Pour Homme. Great fig fragrance, no citrus and oh so fresh. Great summer frag.
Coromandel / Bois des Iles / Cuir de Russie / Eau de Cologne are all great on a man.
31 Rue Cambon / 28 La Pause do great as well, but are a bit more feminine.
Surely does... Also the back of your head on your hear might be a good spot for you. Lasts forever as well.
Not into fruity frags much, but in love with No.18 by Chanel. Gorgeous!
Bois des Iles
Coromandel by Chanel
No change to my nose... (thank god!)
Love the new (or actually old) shape of the bottle, but don't like cap: I prefer the wooden texture.
Great list! I would skip no7+8 and insert Egoiste somewhere in that list. Sycomore would be my no.1
Coromandel; best out of the 500+ frags I've tried in the past few years. Never had a bigger awe then the first time I've smelled it.
Still amazed every time I wear it, 500+ml later...
+1 on Fat Electrician / Tom of Finland - both get a lot of compliments when wearing em.
Eau De Campagne [Sisley]
Don't like patchouli in general, but absolutely love it in Coromandel.
Acqua Di Gio has a simular vibe.
water / orange / woods / musk.
I prefer the Chanel though.
Sycomore is my "underwear-dropper". I go light on the trigger though.
Coromandel: gorgeous and lasts 20+ hours on skin and a week+ on fabric.
Also going for Virgin Island Water.
Does wonders in winter as well!
Coromandel / Rien
Boucheron Jaipur has loads of tonka. Great frag.
Not sure about the pricing though.
Always! And usually winterfrags in summer and summerfrags in winter.
I never wear the same frag at night as I did during the day though: that's rule #1.
Chanel balms are more pleasant for my skin then their lotions. Less burning when applying and less irritation afterwards. Lotions do project better though (because of the amount of alcohol in it I...
Rien by Etat Libre d'Orange
Lonestar Memories by Tauer
Yves Saint Laurent M7
Chanel Egoiste Cologne Concentree
Jil Sander Background
If you love vanilla/tonka then AH is the one.
Make sure to try Bois des Iles by Chanel at least once in you life as well.
That's as close to sandelwood heaven as you can possibly get.
Haha! Great tip!
I have to admit I did some massive overspraying before returning it...
I had the same problem with a bottle of Bois D'Iris from The Different Company.
They've replaced the bottle with a new one after I've sent a simular photo as yours from the bottle/cap.
I wouldn't buy from these places anymore.
They make enough profit to give away samples.
Go Sycomore and never look back...
Indeed great stuff. Blasted through my bottle in several months. Will get my second bottle soon.
And that sprayer is awesome. A perfect mist even when you just press the sprayer a little.
I love Chene! I always use the name Drunk Oak when people ask me what I'm wearing.
Cmon Chanel! Just give us something new!!
+1 on Hermes Vetiver Tonka
Delicious & refreshing!
Chanel Cuir De Russie / ELDO Tom Of Finland are my favorite leathers atm.
Guerlain Homme L'Eau
Creed Virgin Island Water
Eau de Guerlain
Sisley Eau de Campagne
Chanel 31 Rue Cambon
and any "winter-frag" I feel like wearing
Sycomore for me.
Explain to her it's widely concidered as the best perfume ever created.
And as with most art dumbheads don't get it usually.
Then close in and tell her she smells like and exploded candystore.
@ EncreNous: it's my favorite summer frag at the moment. Simular to the original Homme, but sparkling fresh. And it lasts all day during summer. You won't regret it: enjoy!
So sad this gorgeous fresh summer frag is discontinued.
I walked into my favorite parfume store to check if they still had it. I still have half a bottle left, but I wanted a backup bottle.
Encre Noir got boring after 20ml.
Sycomore still amazes me on each application. Burned through 300ml now...
Guerlain Homme L'Eau
or Chanel Sycomore
Guerlain Homme L`Eau
Eau de Campagne [Sisley] is a gorgeous refreshing chypre.
Perfect for summer.
Guerlain Homme L'Eau is much fresher then GIT.
Fat Electrician. My favorite vetiver next to Sycomore atm.
Bye bye Dior. No match even.
Coromandel by far
Bois d`Iris by The Different Company might be nice for you: cedar combined with iris.
Confusion all the way!
An awesome combo.
easy: Sycomore > anytime, anyplace, anywhere...
maybe the devs can move this topic to that section
handy to have it there for future reference...
At 28 you can get away with basically anything.
Wear what you like!
31 Rue Cambon by Chanel.
Gorgeous unisex modern chypre.
On the expensive side though, but worth it.
Don't blindbuy this. I got a bottle as a present and I hate amber ever since.
Gave the bottle away to my sister, who fell in love with it.
So my advice: test it first. It's a love-or-hate perfume.
I got both. Using the 2nd formulation not very often, because there's not much left.
Just got 2 bottles of Oud Absolu so I can use that whenever I feel like it.
I'd say go for the Oud Absolu. It's...
Maybe it's the ambrette seed. That gives a sweet dried fruity kind of vibe.
Virgin Island Water [Creed]
Oliver Polge is the new in house perfumer?
Was hoping for Sheldrake. The male oriented Exclusifs like Coromandel and Sycomore were promising.
Sycomore / Eau de Campagne are my fav greens atm.
Intense, but own and love all three of em.
Hopefully it's magnetic like Les Exclusifs / Bleu.
And a sprayer like No.19 Poudre, but that's wishful thinking I guess...
None: hate em all...
The worst: One.
To not get fully addicted and stay below 30 bottles.
I'd go for the Guerlains.
Classic! Lasts forever on your skin and forever and a year on clothes.
Antaeus [the original formula]
followed by Fahrenheit
Best commercial as well... :-)
well it saves me some cash...
I'm hoping for Coromandel. Will certainly get that if it's one of the three.
My favourite green frags:
Eau De Campagne [Sisley]
Fat Electrician [Etat Libre d'Orange]
Coromandel by Chanel gets complimented the most.
I love LIDGE as well, but I'd kill for Coromandel!
It won't last longer then the original. In fact the only formulation of the series that lasts shorter then Edition Blanche is Allure Homme Sport Cologne.
For me the best is still the original...
