By volume, CREED Aventus. Over 4L of it.
+1 for Bois du Portugal
I have a 2014 10oz bottle that I have used a few times now. Sprayed it 5am on thursday, woke up 7am friday morning and it was still there. Had my doubts from the first few wearings with the new...
Only one I liked and bought was Colonia Intensa Oud.
Overall the whole line is nice and wearable to me.
Selection Verte. Love it, might have to get a few backups of it before it's gone.
Just hope the batches aren't to different from my first bottle.
Largest size available, any house. Wish CREED would sell by the liter again.
Yeah, if your not happy just return it. No point in keeping something you're not satisfied with.
Got that 2 days ago too. They filled the atomizer up, witch was nice.
Originally was going to get Acqua di Parma Colonia Leather, but ended up just getting another backup of Tuscan Leather.
OP you ain't the only one to notice this.
Just a recent thread on the same topic. And I'll state it...
Been there. If you read my response on that Bleu de Chanel thread, I wasn't pleased either.
I had a flacon of Aventus 2014 shipped to me a few weeks back. That thing was kicking like a mule from ...
It's real. Own both and when new they seem to lack longevity.
You'll get that longevity back in time. From the replies to Aventus and Bleu de Chanel I been reading lately, it has to be an...
Yeah that's my 4th 10oz bottle added to my backups.
I'm sure I did at one point, but have learned and only use 3 or 4 sprays. :D
Give it a few more uses. I have some left from before it was released and a few bottles added over the years.
I tried a new 10oz bottle I got few weeks ago. I was getting max 1 or 2 hours with the...
Was tossing them out back then. Now I keep them, it keeps things more organized for me.
It's real. Enjoy.
My bet would be that you're getting use to it.
Just switch it up here and there.
I don't like either, but Tobacco Vanille would be my pick between those two.
There's way more Tom Ford scents that I enjoy.
Agreed. This one does last.
$45.42 for those that still want to get in before they're gone.
$56.78 take 20% with code CYBER22
Perfume.com & FragranceX.com...
Didn't like the other one.
John Varvatos Vintage, good stuff.
For some reason I kept sniffing my arm with this one. It's not like any of the other oud fragrances I own. So can't compare it to any of them.
It feels very subtle to my nose. Got a few compliments...
Great scent. If by online you mean discounted, then it will be hard to find. Chanel keeps distribution very tight.
One of the few house I will pay retail for. Not worth the hassle.
Still love the smell of my first bottle when it first released. But C42B11X02 was stronger and longer lasting than any other. From what I have tried and own that is.
Don't need more Aventus, but still decided to add a 2014 release to my never ending Aventus collection.
Got a flacon of S042C14C01, might get a second one. Haven't tested longevity but I feel like...
Like this one very much. You can use this year round. Last all day and my girlfriend likes it on me. Win win.
Shop around and you can get it under retail.
I think Tom Ford Extreme will fit what you're looking for.
Another one of my favorite Tom Ford scent.
I get a days worth of it. Doesn't project much after a few hours, but does last on my skin.
I wanted the one that separated when I added this to my collection.
Was told they changed it to distinguish the Signature line from the Private Blend line.
Tried the last batch, but just didn't care for it.
Still has a strong following though.
Own and love both of these. Javanese Patchouli seems more of a fresh green scent compared to Patchouli Absolu.
Don't find them redundant as they use patchouli differently.
I like patchouli and love it on those two scents. Also like using the pure oil here and there.
It's a very distinct note, and can seen why others wouldn't like it.
Love this one, I'll get one just to have a flask of it. At the current retail of $365 they will be asking around $510.
No offense taken. Guess I just don't like changes. So I got extra of what I really like.
But even I know this is over kill.
Try layering it with Bois du Portugal.
Another recommendation for Ermenegildo Zegna Javanese Patchouli.
Good and diverse collection.
My advice is to sample, try before buying. You won't waste your money on something you might end up not liking.
It will be posted on Post a Picture of Your Scents thread.
Just looked it up, and November 12 was the last time I posted a picture.
4 years have gone and this hobby has turned into something really...
Aventus 6*500ml flacons, 2*250ml flacons, 1 4oz bottles, using out of another 250ml flacon and 2 4oz bottles
Millésime Impérial 2*500ml flacons, 2*250ml flacons, using 2 4oz bottles
Same here, I can smell it the next day. For me is more of a like, and not a love.
Got 4 compliments the other day on it, and 3 of those said they loved the smell.
The cloying part is what makes me...
Love Spice and Wood.
The only one that I liked enough to buy from the Royal Exclusives line.
Great scent, and all day longevity on me.
Another one of my favorites from CREED. Love to use it around summer time.
I never bought the original. It was from a sample my SA decanted for me last year. Put it into an atomizer and tested it out a for a few days.
Main thing was the disappointing longevity of the...
Tom Ford Oud Wood. For some reason didn't like the original, but bought the reformulated version.
Just enough difference for me to get a full bottle.
Tom Ford Extreme
Test it on skin to see how long it last on you.
Love it and thankfully I get great longevity.
Still don't like Égoïste. They're very different, sampling is highly recommended.
Terre d'Hermès Parfum
This has been done many times. You can even buy patchouli essential oil if you wanted to get a similar vibe. Still decided to get the 250ml bottle, that's after testing it of course.
I really love...
Spice and Wood
Easy 12+ hours on me.
I got some, but it will cost you. $5,500 for 500ml of C42B11X02.
Just go with the current stuff, they have been great for the most part.
I own or like the following by Alberto Morilla:
Acqua di Gio (down to the last few ml's, might buy new bottle)
Acqua di Gio Essenza
DKNY Men 2009 (bought it to give as a...
Post some pictures, haven't seen any fake Private Blends myself.
Most likely everything everything will check out ok. And nothing against this release, but I think they would rather fake the most...
Got a couple of flacons of that C3214A01. And yes, it does smell different than any other GIT I have smelled since the 90's.
At this point I'm going to say this is not a batch issue, but rather a...
They smell nothing alike to me.
I have the EdT and didn't like the EdP enough to add it to my collection. Well more like I didn't notice much difference to justify adding it.
First few wearings I thought it didn't last on my skin,...
Personally I think they blend things very well for the most part. I recall wearing Aventus a few years back, and nothing stuck out.
Then my girlfriend at that time wore jasmine oil when she came...
Voted Kiton Men
Nice, enjoy. Classic.
Let me know if it was under $50. Just got 4 backup bottles myself.
My guess is that Chanel will relabel everything Eau de Parfum to keep the strength of the scents while still complying with new regulations.
They have it on all of them, yours should too.
Ermenegildo Zegna Javanese Patchouli
Royal Water for me.
Far from an expert, I'm just a collector.
Gave it a full wear last night, and it just didn't last on my skin. I notice that it stayed very linear thru it's run. To me that was a good thing since I...
I have over 15 bottles of Royal Oud. First impression of Intense Black is very good.
Don't know about longevity yet. Only major difference I notice right now is Intense Black is missing the oomph....
Bleu de Chanel
Lots of good ones already mentioned. I'll add Kiton Men.
Very versatile fragrance.
Yeah, they're good. Faster shipping too. Usually get stuff 2 days after with free shipping out to Cali. Others take about a week coming from the east coast.
Go for it if the price is right.
I been more selective and know what I want at this point. If I buy a new bottle I go with the biggest size they make.
I use 3 with Spice and Wood.
CREED Millésime Impérial
I have tried Égoïste many times over the years with the same result. Still don't like it.
Last flacon I got is lot FP3313Q01 and it's close to my 2008 bottle.
If you like Millésime Impérial, keep it and let it "age."
You shouldn't have to do that, but they do get better with time.
Love Purple Label, highly recommended.
Really like Polo Sport but haven't worn it in so long. Still keep a bottle of it.
Also like Polo Black.
Agreed. Ended up only getting Javanese Patchouli. Will get another bottle as a backup.
Haitian Vetiver was my second favorite, but I found it similar to Original Vetiver. I think you made a great...
I don't even wear it anymore, but Chrome any day over that.
Allure Homme Sport
Anyone out there in NY try it yet?
Looks like Macy's has it now.
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Hermès Terre d'Hermès Pure...
Those Creed 500ml flacons. Just because of it's volume. But Epic Man, and Gucci Pour Homme II are heavy for the size.
Epic Man for me
But for this trio thing, my vote goes to Chanel.
Sample it, you might like it. That applies to any fragrance though. Try it and see what you get out of it.
Tom Ford comes with cellophane. And yes, Neiman Marcus online ships out of Dallas.
Only had an issue once with 2 flacons, not Tom Ford. They leaked during shipping, decided to take it to the store....
What notes stand out on the Reyane release to you hednic?
I like the smell, but not something I would wear. It's on the feminine side.
