Re: Carven Homme smells like Oil

I don't have the box anymore but I don't smell the citrus at the top or the oil. The top is a very warm ginger and wood scent with a dash of cinnamon, it smells like. It actually smells very high...
  4. Re: Im going to a Sweet 16 and need some help.

I'd say HM. I can't really see a 15 year old wearing The Dreamer.
  5. Poll: Re: Thanks to you guys I got down to these last two scents for my "sexy" scent

L'instant is more interesting. Imagine Burberry London for the first hour and then it gradually changes into a gourmand similar to Amen.
  6. Re: D&G Pour Homme - really liked it- what else should I look at?

Even better (and half the price) than Gucci Envy, I'd suggest Carven Homme.

Re: Something like Old Spice but better

    I agree
  8. Re: Game - Choose the Tomorrow's SOTD of the person above you

How about some Castile, digger? A pleasant scent that you may have forgotten in the back of your drawer.
  9. Re: Game - Choose the Tomorrow's SOTD of the person above you

Ha I saw the 4 stars so I had to call you out on it.

Treat yourself to some Edition Blanche then, depending on the heat.
  10. Re: Game - Choose the Tomorrow's SOTD of the person above you

    Kenneth Cole Black

As awful as that sounds, it seems your the only other person in the world that slightly enjoys it

Re: Bvlgari Soir a compliment magnet!

Soir is nice...but I wish the top notes wouldn't fade away so quickly. The opening is amazing, but I'm not to sure how much I like the dry down.

    Re: Random thoughts on ginger

I got Dior Homme Sport in the mail by my mistake with another purchase, and although I should be thankful for any free fragrance, it just smells "hollow" to me. It's like a smoother version of Issey...
  14. Re: Carven Homme.......as good as it ever was

Although I've never tried Gucci Envy, I agree. You can't beat the $20 price tag for 100 mL

Re: about to make the leap for Encre Noire!

If you love the smell of freshest of the fresh cut green grass with pen ink sprinkled on top. Definitely not something I would wear everyday, but it's definitely a good change of pace.

    Re: Anyone try Onlineshoppingx.com?

I actually just got a few items from here as well...the fragrances were legit, new in their box, sealed, and gift wrapped. I was quite surprised actually.
  17. Re: Burberry London for men: Elegance, refinement and greatness.

If you like London and A*Men you should definitely try L'instant de Guerlain Extreme.
It starts off smelling a lot like Burberry London and dries down very similar (but better) to the coco-sweetness...

Re: Gucci PH I or Rive Gauche?

Rive Gauche definitely has that barbershop shaving cream smell you are looking for, but I'd be wary of Gucci PH if you're new to fragrances. It's not sweet at all and has a very plastic-like...

    Re: Top 5 most overhyped.

Bvlgari Black (don't understand the hype)
Le Male (The top notes are awful, but the dry down is tolerable)
New York PDN (Can't think of any practical time when a man would want to wear this)
    A*Men...
