Fastest shipping of any site I have dealt with. Under a week from them to me in the US.
I sold a couple of 5 ml decants really fast. I guess it is still in very high demand.
Why not Dior Homme
Count me in as someone that thinks this is a masterpiece. Very pleasing to my nose. Very sophisticated while also allowing room for casual wear. I searched for an affordable bottle for months. Just...
Here's a solution: buy Bond No 9 Chez Bond.
Aventus is the best I've tried.
Tough call. I really like both of them. I think you should buy them both. Seriously. I have a 10 bottle collection and they are both in it.
I found Cooper Square to be the worst Bond I have tried thus far. I literally couldn't scrub hard enough.
Mark me down as someone that used to wear this and loved it. I will get a new bottle. I have missed this stuff.
Bond No 9 New Haarlem.
If you do throw it out can you aim towards my house?
Sport definitely has better projection and longevity. I will say that I didn't find to Edition Blanche to be as bad as some lead you to believe in those categories.
My all time favorite:
Maurice Roucel---I LOVE Musc Ravageur, Riverside Drive, and New Haarlem
A couple others off the top of my head without much thought:
Antoine Maisondieu---He created my...
I don't really find them to be similar at all. Not sure which I prefer. I will say that I own Riverside so I guess it will take the nod for now.
Tauer's L'Air Du Desert Marocain is the only fragrance I fell in love with on first sniff.
L'Air Du Desert Marocain by Andy Tauer. A real masterpiece.
Essential is quite nice. A very green and inoffensive scent. Perfect for the really hot days of the summer.
Bond No 9 Brooklyn
*maybe* Musc Ravageur ( I want it just not decided on a full bottle or a large decant)
1. Bond No 9: Montauk, Silver Factory, Chez, Coney Island, Fire Island, Great Jones, HOT...
Yesterday I bought Bond No 9 New Haarlem.
I don't really buy blind any more. I try to get samples and test them out a few times now. I'm at the stage where i don't want random bottles in my collection. If it is in my collection I use it...
I have a hard time passing up Bond No 9 Riverside Drive. Since I purchased this about 2 weeks ago I have wore it quite a bit.
Bond No 9 Bleecker Street.
Get a sample of Secretions Magnifique and soak her pillow when she isn't home.
I agree that your list seems kind of heavy for someone to start off in the fragrance world. Out of those listed I do quite enjoy Serge Lutens Chergui.
It was better than the original in my opinion. Just a touch more depth. Not bottle worthy in my opinion due to the still weak longevity. Until JV fixes that issue I won't own any full bottles of...
Off that list, probably Live Jazz.
Bond No 9 gets my vote.
How does this compare to the lime in Bond No 9's Central Park?
If I'm on the fence about a fragrance, compliments can really sway my opinion on it. I don't base everything off compliments but they defiitely don't hurt!
Bond No 9 Central Park. Testing it out today. So far so good.
I have to go with Chanel Allure Edition Blanche. The lemons and cream are very well done and should grab you a couple of compliments.
Turn back now...once you get started with this obsession it is hard to go back.
Bond No 9 Central Park. I dig the lime up top.
From your list probably Code.
I really like the bottle design. To me the bottle fully represents the juice inside. The colors, the depth and the overall carefree attitude the bottle puts off really shines through the juice...
Bond No 9 Fire Island. May also like the lime in Bond No 9 Central Park.
GIT is a nice safe fragrance. That's it. Nothing more. I don't find it spectacular at all. I don't see many people not liking it but I also don't see many people being blown away by it. You may...
I think La Nuit is the best they have to offer in terms of something modern.
I like it. Fits the bill for what I was looking for from a summer scent. It is fresh with considerable depth. I do like Riverside Drive a little more but I don't regret purchasing this.
Does anyone know if all Bond No 9 bottles have a black serial number on the bottom of the bottle? There is a store in my local mall that carries most of the Bond line and I noticed they don't have...
Bond No 9 Riverside Drive
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
Tauer L'Air Du Desert
I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on the Bond and Malle. I just need to get rid of my GIT and...
I got my Tom Ford samples in yesterday. They are extremely generous. The 4 ml samples are great. I can actually get a true feeling of each fragrance before they are gone.
I agree with Armani Mania.
Chanel allure Edition Blanche
Not sure if someone new to the fragrance scene would really appreciate Havana. It is very heavy and very spicy in my opinion. Nothing like eithe rof the scents you mentioned.
The lot number on the bottle on the back has 2 numbers in the middle and 2 at the end. Look at the MIDDLE two #s. My bottle says 08. What's yours say?
How do you tell the year it was made? Is it the number in the middle or the last two numbers? I just got a bottle of GIT from Fragrancenet yesterday. It had the card but was missing the booklet. ...
That's awesome Marc. I can't wait to win Green Irish Tweed!
As far as longevity and projection, which is the best? I am planning on adding one of these to my line-up for spring and summer.
Chanel Allure Sport or Gucci II?
I personally could give two craps if Tim plugs fragrancenet. He doesn't make people buy from them. If I did reviews and could get free fragrances to review just by simply giving a company a...
Roadster is great.
I personally dig the Youtube reviews more than Basenotes. I like watching the progression each reviewer makes throughout all of their reviews. I like watching their taste change as they continue to...
That bottle is from the 2009 special edition. I think it is a slightly different juice compared to the regular London. Not an EDP though still an EDT.
I currently own 12 bottles and around 6-8 were blind buys. I have bought blind and later resold though so that number is not accurate. Of the bottles in my current line-up that I bought blind only...
I never tell them the package contains a fragrance. I always say it is a glass bottle/jar. I am always very hopeful that nothing crazy happens and it comes back to bite me later.
I went designer because I can't see myself spending upwards of $150 to $200 or more on a fragrance. There are tons of designer scents that are great and can be had for $70 at most and usually alot...
What is the verdict on the Le Male Summer editions? Are they better/ more tolerable than the original?
I love Cartier Roadster. Marc's review on youtube was spot on. I bought it blind because he said it could be a signature scent. If the mint doesn't scare you you can totally wear this year round. ...
Love Angel on my wife. Also find Hypnotic Poison to be quite appealing.
Well I won KatiePukrik's Sweetheart contest on Youtube and am getting a free bottle so I can't complain. I'm sure it is quite a good scent for free!
Good stuff. My bottle will be here in the next couple of days and I can't wait to put it in to my rotation.
Now that it has been out awhile, what are your thoughts? Is this a warm weather or cold weather scent? Do you wear it often? Any compliments?
Does anyone know how these fit? Do they run small or big? Do they hold true to originla form after being washed? Are they worth the price?
probaby marlboro or newports
I would have to go with 1 Million. I LOVE the entire fragrance from start to finish...and the gold bar is really nice.
Thierry Mugler's A*Men Pure Malt.
I am very intrigued by this scent. Is there anyone on here that can do a solid for me and get their hands on a sample vial and send it to me? I can't get a hold of this. Thanks.
Does anyone own or has anyone sampled this that can give me brief description? Is it worth the high price? Would you buy again? Where to get it cheaper? Thanks.
Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Cartier Roadster.
Definitely Platinum Egoiste. Close second goes to the original Allure.
I need some last minute opinions before I make another impulse buy. I sold 3 bottles from my collection to make room for 1 or 2 newer bottles. I am considering this as 1 of those possible 2. Is...
Paco Rabanne's 1 Million
If you had to choose between Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey or Chanel Allure Sport, which would you choose? Neither are very popular where I live. Thanks.
Not a big fan of this. My bottle sits in the collection collecting dust.
I find Pure Malt to be quite pleasing. I have no problem smelling like this every day. I find it better than A*men. I actually haven't wore A*men since I got Pure Malt. The longevity isn't as...
I own a 3.4 oz bottle of Play Intense. I love wearing this. My only wish is that I could wear it more often. There just aren't enough days in the week to experience all the fragrances that i wnat...
Yes. I often have a moist butt crack...and I smell good!!!
I think a moist butt crack would smell a little better than this stuff.
Best---A*Men Pure Malt, Cartier Roadster
1 Million is very nice. Projects very well and I can still smell it on me after 8 hours so far today.
Mugler cologne is terrible.
I'm looking for some kind of fragrance holder for my bottles. Something that would sit on my dresser maybe. I would like it to be able to hold 20 bottles and maybe even rotate like a modern spice...
I got Armani Mania as a gift and thought about taking it back. I instead opened it thinking it wouldn't be that bad. Turns out it's really not my style. Only wore it a couple of times. Now I'm...
Looking for opinions on Paco Rabanne's 1 Million. I'm thinking of buying this blind since it isn't sold in the states. Can someone give me a couple comparables?
At the moment
A*Men Pure Malt
I would say Le Male and Mugler Cologne take the cake for me. I can't stand Mugler Cologne. Le Male is just too sweet for me.
My favorite is Burberry London. For versatility I would have to go with Cartier Roadster.
Wore it again yesterday and I just don't like it that much. If someone wants to buy it off me send me a pm. I will sell it cheaper than fragrancenet. It's a 99% full 3.4 oz bottle.
Sorry I don't keep the boxes. I should I guess in case I want to sell at a later date. I just don't have room for extra clutter.
Am I missing something? I bought a 3.4 oz bottle and have used it a couple of times and I just don't care for it. What are your opinions of Mania? I am leaning towards trying to sell my bottle but...
I bought Code from this lady awhile back and it is a fake. Mine was leaking when I got it "brand new in box". When I contacted her she just gave me my money back and told me to send cologne back. ...
I don't view a signature scent as a "I only wear this". I'm just looking for soemthing that I can grab 365 days a year and not be dissappointed or be the guy with the too strong cologne.
Louisville, Kentucky. I would say Armani Code and Aqua di Gio are the big guns here. The young folks go crazy for Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce and Sean John Unforgivable.
I think I'm going with Burberry London. My wife's family does their dinner on Friday so I may wear A*Men Pure Malt for that one.
